Thanks for watching!
The new Tundra is great. Between the new architecture, new engine, refined interior, and legendary Toyota reliability, this is the full-size truck to beat. Great to see a hybrid version as well.
I have several Toyotas and I'm a fan of the manufacturer, but their reliability is already suffering with the new tundras
@@frankfeng6199 hey bro nice to hear you, btw is tocuma is better than tundra in purpose of all terrain modes
We finally got a Lexus truck lol, beautiful interior
Can we get a night drive? I'd love to see the new interior lighting and how the headlights do at night. I'm thinking of purchasing the 1794 edition tundra and I do tons of night driving. Thanks!
Yeah Topher! NIGHT DRIVE NIGHT DRIVE NIGHT DRIVE!
1794 would be my choice also. Hope you get it
@@xBeeGee right? Pretty much all the same features as the 75000 dollar one but in my opinion a better looking interior and 5000 cheaper
@@ianabelein2821 yes I agree the interior looks much better and I love the brown exterior color
NEED THE NIGHT DRIVE!
I love your car reviews.
Topher- a great reviewer. This one is going to be expensive to fix as it ages for my budget
I think youre spot on about the price. Great truck, but better suited for the trd trims. However, that new sequoia looks stunning.. especially the TRD variants. Same powertrain, slightly better looks (at least I think), solid rear axle. Today's land cruiser if you don't want an LX. That's what I would buy
Been waiting for this one.
impressive interior
Ily Topher!!!!
beautifull 🔥💪🏼
How does one with the front split bench seating and column shifter option feel like?
These are really nice trucks! Gorgeous interior
Hello, something I learned about the toyota Qi wireless chargers is that they must be off before you place your phone, once it is off place the phone and turn it on and it should start working properly. I have a 19 Rav4 limited and it has the wireless charger I was having the same issue however I notice that once I turned it on I head something move inside the the charger which led me to believe that it has to reset everything time you need to use it.
Does rear air suspension help make better ride than standard suspension?
Since 90´s , always I´ve admired the Toyota trucks, specially the Hilux.
Great video awesome truck but I went with the Platinum edition. Too much chrome on the Capstone for me plus I saved 10k and still got all the upgrades except the hybrid option. These new Toyota Tundra trucks are awesome IMHO and should sell very well.
The Lexus Of pickup trucks
The new Tundra looks fantastic!
I use your youtube videos as my white noise to help me sleep at night. also I am autistic. i like trucks , SUV's, and Airbus A321 aircraft as a hobby. i also like Yamaha stereo equipment. i hope you have a great weekend.
Awesome guy
Nice truck but I need that TRD Pro though. I’d prefer the Hybrid powertrain with an Off-Road focus.
Do a lot of off-road driving, yes?
It was a great video.... Specifically your Speedmaster 😉
I love this Toyota Tundra with the I-ForceMax engine, because it's reliable and it sounds like a different V8 engine because it's a 3.5 V6. I ain't gonna lie about this truck.
It’s fake noise implemented from Toyota
Hey, man, could you get your hands on the newest model of Land Cruiser and review the shit out of it for us? Thanks a lot!
startup chime sounds FRESH out of a 2002 Buick Century.
My dream car
Disappointed in the MPG for all that extra $$$. Only 2 MPG better in the city? Yet same on the hwy 22 MPG. Beautiful truck though. Another great job by TheTopher. Thanks, sir.
Hope the new 4 runner will have the same interior. Look so nice...
Save Sidewall! Just say NO to oversized wheels. 😁
Amen
Can someone let car manufacturers know that screens can have matte surfaces instead of glossy ones?
100%. You CAN get aftermarket matte screen protectors, but it’d be nice if this screen was a little less reflective, especially with the white interior.
Hope we get a nighttime drive too! Love this truck
I can’t see which watch you’re sporting, reminds me of the Seiko chrono my grandfather gave me. Exact colors band, face, etc.
Wonder if it will drop if production ever returns to somewhat normal levels. And if so if it'll be back down to say $50-55k. These aren't normal prices due to the lack of production and the parts supply issue. Also figure this is similar to what the Limited and TRD Pro 4Runners will be like. Not so much leather in TRD Pro, but similar otherwise.
60% of all the dolalrs were printed in the last two years and those dollars will slowly and gradually be circulated into the global economy so the prices will never get cheaper even if the productions levels returned to normal
I’m not the biggest Toyota fan and more of a Ford person but this looks better than any of the GM trucks on the market.
How much fuel consumption was in hybrid?
Capstone has too much chrome. Blacked out Platinum or limited with the TRD package will probably be my go to. Then again the TRD Pro looks soo good. If the SR5 had the pano roof and hybrid option, that would easily be the winner. There are soo many packages for the SR5.
And you also get low visibility from the windshield and a transmission bump in the midle of the rear seats .
Is the engine sound artificial and piped through the sound system? If so, can it be turned off? I would have dealer exchange to smaller wheels
Yes there is fake engine sound.
Dealership can disable it
Seems like you’re the first one to get the capstone for a week!
With this new tundra, I don't feel overwhelmed or underwhelmed. I just feel whelmed and I think that is the problem. There isn't anything that stands out to me that separates it from the competition.
What separates it is that it’s built by Toyota. A buddy got a 2022 F-150 and it broke down after 300 miles.
just just a big catch up, new tundra doesnt do anything compelling over the Big 3, even the hybrid system stinks compared to Fords
I don't like that gaping shiny grille that Toyota and Lexus seem to be going for. It's even worse than Chevy's Silverado grille.
@@huh3169 no fuckin way
@@FastradaFabeans Yes way. Built tough my a**😂
Can you review the new subaru wrx in manual & automatic. Thank you!
@@gtmike916 agreed, it's a damn shame but people probably stopped buying the WRX and sti which led to them making it shittier I bet
i drive a car for work but for the weekends I drive a truck to go out on adventures with the family and friends :)
I want thissss. I just got the sr5 2022. Fixing to trade it for the Limited though. 🧐
A nice car
Nice the rear seats still fold up on the hybrid. Too bad they didn’t incorporate hooks on the seat bottoms for grocery bags or make a slide out to make the load floor flat in the rear like on Titans. Give us options Toyota on the rear seat area for different storage scenarios. Big miss in my opinion. Domestic brands do the rear seat of a crew cab much better
They look good lifted with bigger tires!
Totally transform the truck into a beast
Good truck.
That is a nice truck and isn't it amazing how they make v6 engine sound like a v8 engine with a new tundra
Yeah, it's different.
That is not the sound of the engine. It’s a fake sound playing through the speakers
Bravo TOYOTA bravo I own five Toyota tundra right up to the 2020 that’s what I have now 2020 I cannot wait to drive to Clarkston thank you TOYOTA bravo one congratulation I cannot wait to own the struck❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
No replacement for displacement
o interior da sw4 deveria ser assim tb
Man the TRD Pro would have been nice
Honestly, I'd rater spend my money on the GMC truck with the diesel option. Better fuel milage by a far margin! The new 22 models from GM are a-lot nicer interior wise. Yeah, the capstone is a bit too busy/thirsty for what its touted to be. GM really hit the mark with that straight 6 diesel option in my opinion.
Wish it came with the 6.5 bed 🤦
The engine noise dose sound like a V8 and I think it sounds awesome. Until I realized it’s fake noise played through the sound system. Toyota seems to be doing this with all their new vehicles.
Yeah. I would imagine that with 22 inch Rims it would not ride like the Pro or the TRD Off Rd Package with the Tundra
Did Toyota partner with Konig for those wheels?
Spot on 😂
@@TheTopher It's a sharp truck otherwise in my opinion. Would like to see a night drive if you get the opportunity.
The only Toyota with a descent interior
I just want to hear the sound of the V8 🤔
is that an entire laptop touchscreen in the infotainment
essentially a lexus truck, i dig it, but i'd never buy it over a trd pro personally
You may as well buy an RV soon with the price of these trucks. At least you can live in it and still go places.
Nice interior except they should've made the infotainment system a little smaller so it fits in the dash. Except people need 80 inch tv's in their faces while driving for some reason so I totally get why they chose bigger screen over fit and finish
There’s an optional smaller screen I’m not sure how small tho
@@xBeeGee 8 inch
This truck was designed for the boss as a commuter not your offroader or tower.
Why is there no mention at all of the 1794 Edition? The Capstone is literally a 1794 with the Advance Pkg standard, and only the hybrid drivetrain, but honestly the 1794 has the nicer interior look with the cream and wood. The only thing different the Capstone really offers otherwise is a bunch more chrome and the 22” wheels.
I agree. Another thing the capstone gets is acoustic front driver and passenger side glass. But still, 5 grand more? No thanks and I'll take the 6.5 bed on my 1794
@@ianabelein2821 true, although I do believe the 1794 gets the acoustic laminated windshield, just not the side windows. But I agree, that price and all you really get extra is over saturation of chrome, and you’re limited to just the weird black and white interior colors? No thanks. I love the look of the cream or saddle tan scheme much more.
I just bought the 1794…….has everything on it it is a fantastic truck, the rear air shocks makes it ride like a dream!
The reflection of the seats in the infotainment screen is almost too distracting.
This is for when you want 85% Lexus SUV, 15% pickup truck. Capstone cargo beds will see less work than L.A. during a high-speed chase.
Toyota's wireless phone charger can't charge with phone with case on unfortunately, same is with Lexus chargers, they're kind of weak.
The wheels would be the first thing to go
75k, woah, that’s the price of the new raptor
10:49 no thanks, keep "auto 4x4" for the domestic trucks. Anyone who has lived in northern climates have heard of or felt the terrifying feeling when auto 4x4 decides to disengage around a corner with black ice. There is a reason one of the best 4x4 vehicle builders on the planet has never incorporated it.
I drive a 14 Tundra and I was excited about this refresh but I've been disappointed a lot. Even in this video, you can clearly see the phone on the wireless charging pad just flying to the side. I am looking at Rams these days. Tundra's refresh is too little too late imo.
I'm loving that TRX.
Why does the infotainment screen have ears? I can’t unsee that
This whole trend of these uberluxo-pickups is just one of those that makes think like…just…”WHY????🤨” Idk just doesn’t make sense to me, but I guess if it brings in the 🤑 for the 86 and the GR Corolla, I can’t argue with that.
The wealthy retirees that just bought a giant Airstream need something to haul it with. They'll buy this without a test drive.
You can't really call a hybrid that can do full EV "stop-start," can you?
I still don't understand why car manufacturers don't push their tire to the fender. It makes zero sense why that isn't a thing.
A truck with 22s, is like a construction worker wearing high heels... looks wrong, and defeats the purpose of being a truck.
At 16:06 it looks just like you and the other truck was about to hit head on as they were merging onto the highway.
Hybrids and plug in hybrids are the future for the near future.
Those beige seats are going to show dirt in 3 years unless you buy seat covers
More dubious design choices for Toyota
Debating between the TRD PRO or This….. the TRD pro is Cheaper in California…..
They don't have automatic 4WD/ full time AWD because they don't have the transmission that can handle the torque for full time AWD.
Truck for driving to the shopping malls. Drive it couple of times in countryside dusty environment and see how much you will like it after all this white interior becomes dirty
Lovely interior, but that exterior is ghastly. I wish there was full time AWD option like the competition. The TRD Pro is the best trim.
agree on full time AWD, a set it and forget option would be nice. i don't think any toyota product has 4A
@@myemailiscool No, but a few have true full-time 4WD. The Land Cruiser, 4Runner Limited trim, Lexus GX, and Lexus LX have full-time 4WD.
Have you seen it person, it looks good imo, better than a silverqdo
Don't like the wheels or the price. Everything else is amazing!
locomotive
Very nice. But not $75,000 nice.
They need to ditch those wheels for sure
Wait it's a hybrid but only gives 17/22 what lmao
I don't like 22" wheels. I don't like low profile tires.
I don’t like green eggs and ham. I don’t like them here and I don’t like them there. I don’t like them anywhere.
Almost $75k for a pickup truck? 😳
Yeah that’s completely normal with all these new trucks
Get out of the cave u live in.
It's not just the top trims either. The lower trims on these trucks are getting outrageously expensive for what you get.
Rather have the Ford Powerboost
Ur choice
75k??? thts a no...as in never...
Yeah, those wheels are fugly.. Wow it sounds amazing though.
The whole pricing scheme is out of whack. You have non luxury brands charging luxury prices.. I guess if Mercedes made a truck this would have to be $150k
The truck is very nice, but agree those wheels don't fit it. The price is pretty insane too 😳
Looks like a Lexus Tundra lmao
Exactly
Why people pay for 75k with v6 engine? 👎👎
Because the iforce max is beast 😂love it
I’m very disappointed at the inverter in the bed, only 400w for a hybrid. The f150 powerboost can go up to 7.2k w and that’s a game changer
