First of many signature closeout game performances from Kobe in that 2008-2010 run. Denver was desperate to avoid getting swept on their home floor and threw their best punch of the series. Kobe saved his best for last in this one, scoring 14 points in the final five and a half minutes of the game to slam the door shut on the Nuggets and their season. He finished with 31 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 steals and 2 blocks, doing a little bit of everything to lead the Lakers to their first playoff series win in 4 years.

  • Kobe was the Nuggets' kryptonite, they couldn't figure how to stop him because of how unpredictable he was! (ex: the fadeaway shot over Martin after picking up his dribble with the shot clock running down 🤐)

  • That shot he hit on Kenyon Martin shows the art of foot work at 6:27. That shot was as tough as it gets and he makes it look easy. Kenyon just turned around and puts his head down after it went in 😂😂😂

  • The 2008 Nuggets were built to stop the Spurs, the defending champs, with Camby, Nene, and KMart to neutralize Duncan. Not the 2008 Lakers though.
