MJ came into the league on a very poor team and got his teeth kicked in by 4 teams just in the East for 3 years but he pushed back (hard) nearly immediately. Kobe acted like he was the second coming of MJ when MJ was still dominating-again got handed his hat with a side of humble pie. Lebron never had any immediate rival or whole teams to tell him he is a bitch. BTW how many acting jobs did Lebron embellish just this clip?

  • To be honest, Kobe in my opinion is the greatest NBA player of all-time. The thing that gives him the edge over Jordan, LeBron & whoever else you want to throw in the convo is his mentality. The way he approached the game of basketball was totally different than any other player. If you never seen it before, go watch “Kobe Bryant’s Muse”. After you watch that you’ll understand exactly what I’m talking about. Allen Iverson tells a story of the first time he went to LA, he linked up with Kobe and told him he was going to the club later that night. Kobe told him go ahead, he’s going BACK to the gym. Iverson said whether it was 1,2 or 3 in the morning you know you could find Kobe in the gym. That’s why he was unstoppable

His athleticism and build did him wonders. Sad thing is the rings he does have, he had to team up to get every single one. Two of the rings he got bailed out by other people because he's not skilled enough to hit a game winner. They don't even want the ball in his hands because he can't hit free throws. • The guy was making those shots with a badly injured finger. We went from the Kobe era to guys choosing not to play games simply because of hamstring cramps, ankle soreness, and other minor injuries. Now 65 games is asking too much of a professional superstar basketball player. The very next season, Kobe would win a championship with a stint on the index finger of his shooting hand from a fracture, and he made it look like nothing happened to him. For most guys, that would either negatively effect their performance, or it would keep them out for the season. Kobe had to slightly change his shooting form to shoot more with his middle fingers, but he worked so hard at his craft that he was able to adapt to that injury so he could wait to have surgery until the off-season. Those two championships are two of the greatest championship runs in NBA history because of the meaning behind them for the Lakers, and Kobe himself. Their redemption from the loss to Boston in 08, and the level of competition the Lakers faced make those championships so special. Those Laker teams weren't stacked with All-Star talent, or even the best role players, but they made up for it by playing together as a team, and they beat a lot of teams that were actually more talented than they were overall, and even dominated some of them. Everyone had their moments for the Lakers in those championship runs from Kobe, to Artest, to Farmar, down to the last player on the bench.

I wouldnt even place him in all time top ten. You have to compare not based on his stats, but his competition at the time. The rules changed changed during Lebrons tenure - the game was far less defensive in order for advertisers to highlight the ball handling skills. Bird, MJ, Magic, they all played in a diff era. • Games evolve so much today. A lot of those attempts are low-efficency attempts that are not even allowed in the worst teams of the NBA today. Offense is also kind of stagnant. Today's game is so hard to defend in comparison because everyone is just playing much more calculated. Players of course could still make pull up shots or running hook shots but they are trained to run the offense until something more efficient comes up. It's not a knock on Kobe because I'm more than certain that if he had started his career in today's league, he would almost certainly adapt. Just diffeerent eras.

  • bro is focusing what they say on tv yo is not about numbers and been all time in score is about titles and skills better offensive player = foot work, fade away, turn around jump shot, pull up shot , free throws, long two jumpers , post going left or right and defense he got 12 times all defensive team vs lebron only 6 so what u mean don’t tell me more assist more rebound cause that’s not kobe position so obviously he won’t get more rebounds or assists he didn’t force playing point guard like lebron or been under the basket to get rebounds that doesn’t make u a better player the eye test say kobe but you listen to people on ESPN and other channels

  • The end of the first quarter is LeBron in a nut shell when Kobe guarded him alone. He never wanted Kobe 1 on 1 in ISO, Ever. Always avoided it & here, he threw it straight into traffic. End of the 2nd is pure 1 v 1 ISO. Kobe shat on him. Sums up 1 v 1 when it came to Kobe & LeBron. Kobe always got the better of him 1 v 1 ISO. It's too bad LeBron choked against the Magic in the ECF. Lakers demolished the Magic in the finals.

    • @jamesnichols5998 really? LbJ had to join or create a superteam to win his championchips , he literally picks and chooses with who he wants to play with, thats not competition, gtfo outta her dude, you dont know shit about sports. Kobe had Pau against a super stacked celtics team when the first superteam of 3 was formed and Pau is not a dwyane wade, kyrie irving, kevin love, chris bosh, anthony davis... kobe made pau also so theirs your answer and if your talking about how lebron took his team to the finals in 2007 single handedly, the east was no where as competetive as the west from 2004 to 2010.... thats why he got blown out vs the spurs ... your stat lining with lerbon and thinking hes better because of stats . Stats make the person but they dont make man.

  • I’m glad somebody posted this. These two guys were great competitors no doubt but neither of them were even close to Jordan. They had the drive, the desire, and the will to win but Michael Jordan was the greatest to ever do it. These two look like high school boys compared to Michael 😅They just didn’t have it like he did. Watch the amount of shots missed, 3 pointers, etc. Then go watch Jordan Vs Lakers 1991 highlights. He literally made every shot. It’s insane to watch as I lived through it. He was on a whole another level. The GOAT. Anybody who thinks either of these 2 guys was better is just plain delusional.

  • After their first four head-to-head matchups, Kobe was able to defeat LeBron only 3 times out of next 18 games. You are watching one video in which Kobe prevailed...while LeBron averaged more points, rebound, assists, steals, blocks, true shot percentage over their entire head-to-head matchups.
