  • What people fail to realize is Kobe had to work from ground up to become the legend he is today. He wasnt gifted a 6'8 280 pound body like LeBron was. He had to build up from scratch. Kobe wasn't good his first 2 seasons. The 3rd season you saw a huge improvement. His work ethic and his determination and his will to be great and his hungry and passion to be the best is the product you see today. Kobe is the most skilled player of all-time. He is hands down the GOD of making tough shots look easy. Kobe doesn't get the luxury of having 1 defender guard him. He gets 2 and 3 people gaurding him EVERY GAME and some cases 4 people guarding him. His footwork is the greatest the NBA has EVER seen. He is the only player in NBA history to outscore a whole NBA team, which was the Dallas Mavericks, who finished that season 67-15 that year. 62-61 Kobe vs Dallas, end of 3rd quarter. Sat out the entire 4th quarter. Countless other times has he had games where he scored 50 points in 3 periods. Kobe should have at least 4 70+ point games and 2 80+ point games, but he is all about the win. All this from a 6'6 215 pound player. I don't EVER want to hear somebody say LeBron is better, EVER. That's a joke. LeBron isn't 10% of the player Kobe is. All LeBron does is put his head and shoulders down, ram his way to the paint, hope he makes it or gets the foul call. That's his game. That trash isn't even top 10 all-time. Kobe has been to 7 finals, winning 5. He got robbed of 6 MVPs and 2 other finals MVPs. I don't EVER want to hear this LeBron James none sense ever again. Kobe bean Bryant GREATEST basketball player to EVER LIVE PERIOD. Have Have a nice day.

    • Agree

      @rosariojoffremastachi3048@rosariojoffremastachi304810 жыл бұрын
    • agreed. lebron may be better STATISTICALLY, but hes not the better PLAYER. besides, they play completely different positions! of course lebron is gonna have more assists and rebounds...kobe is a SHOOTING GUARD. kobe is going to SHOOT MORE. kobe always takes those bail out shots to ruin FG%. lebron always passes those up to keep his FG% high. kobe from 05-07 is the most dominant scorer the newer generation of nba has ever seen. lets not forget when kobe did play "point forward" ( cuz nash was out or whatever) like lebron does, he averaged about 22, 9, 9. and thats OLD KOBE. Lebron has so much media hype to be the "best" its just gross.

    • Cameron Honma 100 % agreed

      @sm8488@sm848810 жыл бұрын
    • Cameron Honma Also your so right about when Kobe played PG or PF. He could have easily averaged 35 PPG, 10 AST, 7 REB, 2 BLK, 3 STL a game in his PRIME, had he played those positions. Remember when Jordan played PG? His stats were looking VERY NICE. 32PPG, 8AST, 8REB, 1BLK, 3 STL a game. Its a joke when you compare a Great player like Kobe or Jordan to Lebron. What Lebron James fans fail to realize, is that he depends on his athletic ability 100% of the time. He doesn't have a MAJOR skill in his game that is KEY for playing a long, consistent career, and that is FOOTWORK. In about 3 years he will DRAMATICALLY, decline in his athletic ability. He has no jump shot to depend on when he cant blow by defenders any more, nor will he be able to out run the younger generation and forget about the paint, that will be his worst enemy. Its a joke and disrespectful to Kobe when people talk about how much better Lebron is, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah... As for him being better STATISTICALLY. Your right depends on the position, also Lebron takes all his shots in the paint. Kobe on the other hand, takes 20 footers, with defenders giving him barely, any room to breathe. Of course Lebron will have a better field goal percentage. To shoot 43% in a season, with the defense Kobe see's, every game. That is AMAZING. Also in the clutch its not even close, at all. Kobe leaves him and really any player in the dust, - Jordan, when it comes to making the game winner. All in all, Kobe will go down as the greatest in my book. Many will say Jordan, but Kobe is more skilled then Jordan and a better scorer, and to me that's what puts him ahead of Jordan. When he retires, say goodbye to REAL basketball. After he is gone, it will be a LONG time until we see one like him again. A ONCE IN A LIFETIME PLAYER.

    • Semir Mujanovic Yeah everything you said i agree with. if you imagine we were in 2003-2007 with the advancement of social media of TODAY, there would be no doubt kobe would be the most talked about nba player ever. twitter blowing up would be nothing knew for every game for kobe back in 2005. social media propels lebron to new heights because of the timing of technology and lebrons prime. all you hear is lebron is the best blah blah. and if people wanna go players with the best stats are the best , why dont lebron fans say oscar robertson?? that dude avg like 28, 9 ,9. sounds like he should be the greatest of all time. people need to WATCH GAME FOOTAGE not just the stats. its sad when people say lebron is the better dunker or driver to the room than kobe. i remember in 2000-2008 kobe would drive past defenders ALL DAY and finish at the rim. kobe has posterized so many more people than lebron (kobe has played much longer tho) kobe can pass JUST AS WELL as lebron, but like i said he is a shooting guard, just cuz lebron averaged what 2.5-3 more assists hes considered a better passer?? pshh. rebounds is definely lebron, because of the position he plays and his size. in shooting the ball, kobe blows lebron out of the water. stats dont tell the whole story just watch game footage.

    • RiverwoodHood Lebron hasn't done anything "historic" yet. Arbitrary records, sure, like most 30 point games in a row shooting 60%. At the same time, i could ask who owns the record for the most 35 point games in a row while shooting 56% or better. Could you tell me off the top of your head? Probably not and the same will happen with a record such as the one I mentioned. Those are arbitrary records that will only come up as trivia at best, they aren't significantly good enough to warrant remembering. Kobe on the other hand has had iconic single game performances as well as streaks that absolutely everyone will remember for decades to come. 4 straight 50 point games, averaging 40+ for an entire month on two separate occasions, 81 points in a game, 62 points in 3 quarters (outscoring an entire team by himself after 3). Have you any idea how many times Kobe has scored 50+ in a game and sat out the entire 4th quarter? That is Iconic, legend type shit. Lebron has put up good numbers but hes done nothing iconic yet. for what its worth, I know Lebron had a 52-10-9 game, but kobe has had a 53-10-8 game as well.

      @ParaditeRs@ParaditeRs9 жыл бұрын
    • ParaditeRs You're so disrespectful.... Don't watch basketball if you can't appreciate Great players.. I mean I don't even like Kobe but I respect what he's done. Lebron's got 4 MVP's 2 Finals MVP's and he ain't even 30 yet... and Kobe can't play all positions bro... Lebron can play all 5 positions. Stop being disrespectful nigga.

      @416Raps@416Raps9 жыл бұрын
    • uhjinlee I never said he wasn't great. I just said he hasn't done anything iconic. Who exactly is this disrespectful to? Maybe your respect is easily earned, mine isn't.

      @ParaditeRs@ParaditeRs9 жыл бұрын
    • uhjinlee I'm getting tired of hearing about all the "greatness" of lebron james. Sure, he's a great player, no question about it. But this bullshit about him "being able to play all 5 position", when has he ever played fking center? Like Magic did in the finals? And the 4 MVPs thing, this league has been watered down so much, go back and see who Kobe and MJ had to compete with for that award. Now who's in the run for MVP? Lebron, Durant and maybe CP3? For the first 3,4 years of his career, whenever someone touched him in the paint its an auto foul call. It's better now but not that much. If he's playing back in the 80s and 90s, I seriously doubt he'd be as famous as he is today.

  • This is the year after Lebron wet the bed against the Spurs and Bruce Bowen in the finals. Prime Kobe took it to these Spurs in this series. Then again Lebron was not in his prime in 2007 but he was still considered a top 5 player at that time. And what Lebron did against the Spurs in 2014 is commendable. He scored his points efficiently but he did not take over games consistently save for game 2. Prime Kobe would not have averaged only 18 shots per game like Lebron did in the 14 finals. No way.

That is also a rarity in nba history! To sum it up he went in 3 finals straight n won 2/3 back to back ! That is not easy in nba history!
