Here is how to lower your blood pressure naturally. In this video, we look at the most effective ways to lower blood pressure without medication. I have used these tips to help many individuals get a healthier blood pressure, and the best thing about it is that it is all natural.
1) Diet. A high potassium diet, especially when mindful of sodium or salt intake, is perhaps the most important thing to emphasize in the diet. Also make sure to get enough magnesium. Great diets are the mediterranean diet or DASH diet. Consider reduction of alcohol and caffeine intake. Consider adding specific foods or supplements such as beetroot
2) Sleep. Getting a solid 8 hours of sleep and making sure you do not have sleep apnea is just as important as diet
3) Exercise. ANY type of exercise helps control hypertension! See specific goals in the video for aerobic exercise, strength training and isometric resistance training.
4) Weight management. Maintaining a healthy weight is perhaps the most important strategy of all when it comes to naturally lowering your blood pressure. We expect a 1 point drop in blood pressure for every kilogram of weight you lose, even if you are already at a normal weight
5) Stress management. Easier said than done, but this goes a long ways
6) Take a look at medications and supplements as many contribute to high blood pressure!

  • It’s because some people have the MTHFR gene. You Can’t methylate B vitamins and other amino acids so you will be anxious and have high blood pressure. You have a protein in your body called homocysteine. when you can’t methylate that protein it becomes high in your blood, and constrict your blood vessels. You can take SAMe supplement for your anxiety. The methylated B vitamins, lower homocystine In essence curing your high blood pressure. You never had a problem with your heart or blood vessels. You just can’t methylate B vitamins. You need to supplement with L-Methionine, that will help immensely lower your anxiety level. It also helps clean your liver out. Also Nattokinase is a big game changer, but do not take it with blood thinners. Also look into L-arginine

    • @@murknellnewton726 i’m not a doctor, but I would say consult your own doctor, but most doctors aren’t nutritionally educated. There are some supplements you should not take with certain pharmaceutical drugs especially ones that thin your blood

    • @@dougs4given thank you for answering me back, I am on plavix and a a baby aspirin, but he cut my plavix down to 3 times a week cause it was causing bruising spots. I take 2 hbp pills and spiroloctone to keep potasssium in my body, because it depletes quickly, now he prescribed me potassium pills. Doctors definitely not nutritional, just like pushing medicine, your Help is greatly appreciated

  • Hey Doc: That was one of THE most thorough and well-rounded videos on the HB topic! Thank you…I mean that sincerely🙏🏾. Just turned 54, and found out I have HB and have been working on this issue since late February. Most info doesn’t explain the “whys” enough: what to eat and WHY? Which exercises and WHY? Eat leafy greens, more potassium, magnesium, etc. but WHY? Thank you for giving the SPECIFICS/numbers on magnesium, potassium, exercise, etc. I would imagine most people who watch your vids have certain health issues, and are smart enough and interested enough to do what’s best for them, but it’s gotta be specific. Thank you for your approach and please keep that in mind in future videos. #Subscribed😀👍🏾🙏🏾

  • Usually, it’s not salt intake. It’s salt retention, which brings up another health issue that needs to be addressed. No I am not a doctor. It’s just my opinion, but I have researched.

  • Thank you Doc Mike, this is so informative and direct to the point! May I ask about aerobic and strength exercise, can we do AMRAP workouts or should we stay away from it? I did strength exercises and Crossfit before, but working on long and stressful hours in advertising and sitting in front of the computer made me sedentary and ate unhealthy foods. Now that I became hypertensive recently, I'm trying to be healthy through food and exercise, now wondering can I do AMRAP workouts? I really don't want to be on a prescription leash. Thank you!

  • Excellent video! High blood pressure rarely has noticeable symptoms. But if untreated, it increases your risk of serious problems such as heart attacks and strokes. Making healthy lifestyle changes, can help reduce your chances of getting high blood pressure and help lower your blood pressure if it's already high. Many thanks for sharing this very helpful video, Dr. Mike! 🙌❤
