How high is too high for blood pressure? At what point do you need to actually start getting concerned about your blood pressure? The crazy thing is, blood pressure and hypertension guidelines are much different in America as opposed to other countries. In this video, we go through some of the evidence and different guidelines in countries around the world and learn what is actually considered high blood pressure.
Hypertension is something that is important to think about, as it can lead to long term problems such as heart attack, stroke, congestive heart failure, chronic kidney damage and more.

I gave up sugar completely and have a new low carb diet with no processed food, seed oils etc, and only eat pasture raised organic animal products. 10 months later, and lost 20kg’s, blood pressure now averages 110/70, and all blood works are perfect. Now on no medications, all with diet and more exercise. To hell with big Pharma

Hospitals are no better they just use MD's to refer people to a specialist. Now that being said a lot of people need medical care for a whole host of reasons and diseases.

Having high cholesterol, I want that high blood pressure. I watched my father get better after a heart attack when he stopped taking all of the meds he needed to counter the side effects of the HBP and cholesterol meds. I refuse to take HBP or cholesterol meds and at 56, no heart issues have been found and my resting heart rate is in the high 50s. I'll start listening to the docs when they stop going to schools sponsored/funded by big pharma.

  • Thank you for this video. I'm in the UK and it too has gone the same way as the states with pills for everyone and everything. My pressure was above the 140/90 and still is, was even higher momentarily. Explained that feeling unwell and being ill, could have caused the elevated rates, ignored as they weren't determined to "diagnose" as if its something to achieve for them. No natural alternatives were even proposed just pills. Reluctantly, taken them and on second month, however will also implement any and all natural methods. I'm 42, fit, regular hiker/trekker across the world but treated as if morbidly obese unfit person. Monitoring past week, pressure subsiding but I know its not the pills but the changes I'm making. Elevated again this evening as picked up a cold from work thus proving my point that illness raises it. I'll be coming off life pills after this prescription, then see how it goes.

  • One reason why our guidelines are low is that we used military records when guidelines were set. Military personnel donated blood regularly for blood banks. Donating lowered blood pressure. Non military people donated more blood. Now people don't donate as much. These factors impact averages.

I didn’t think anything of it because I didn’t realize that falling was a side effect until I feel and got a grade 3 ankle spring. This happened about 4 years ago. The doctor who was treating me said that I had a torn ligament across the top of my toes and he said that ligaments never heal. Is it turn that ligaments never heal? Even 4 years out, my foot often feels funny and the area over my toes swell.

  • Ok here’s my study. First off all data and studies are based off of which pharmaceutical company wants to sell pills for high blood pressure. That’s how they determine the numbers. Because why in some countries normal blood pressure is 140/90. But in America it’s 120/80 and they even want to lower that number. From my personal experience when my blood pressure is 120/80 or lower. I’m dizzy and nauseous. But when my blood pressure is above 120/80. I’m fine. So my study is that blood pressure is individualistic.

    • I think the balance between potassium and sodium is most important. Many individuals eat processed foods high in sodium and lack Whole Foods rich in potassium. We see the effects of sodium both ways - decreasing excessive amounts can definitely lower blood pressure (increasing potassium does the same). If someone has low blood pressure or gets dizzy when standing, increasing salt intake can raise BP and improve those symptoms A high potassium diet makes you pee out more sodium

Every single time I go to get my meds ( Lisinopril ) they take my BP and then say OH your BP is high, no shit. Well, I have as anyone no idea how my days or years I have left. Had an EKG and the circulation is just fine. Feel like shouting in the MD face to shut up and write the scrip. Then tell them less the 3% of men world wide make it to 80 years old and only less than 1% make it to 90, think you will make it to my age? It is a money mill that I have to walk to get my meds. Then he asks are you seeing a cardiologist, answer no. Just exactly how would that help another $200 blown with no plan from them. It is see you in 3 months. My answer is NO. And my latest blood work up ( 4/26/2024 came back with everything within the normal range)
