  • If you have never spray painted try practicing ona aluminum soda can or beer can. If you can paint that, you can paint that tank. If you have a old lazy Susan, and can balance the part you are painting, then you can spin the part while painting, and you won't have to walk that 10 miles you just did in that session! Good job as usual.

  • Similar biking incident. Never thought watching you paint red oxide would be so enthralling. Looking forward to the next episode. Cheers.

  • Morning Tony liking the paint Technique, the amount of paint you use on these Beasts is ridiculous🤣 Bins look cracking mounted to the mudguards and work very well by the looks of it. Look forward to the next one

  • I love how you take us through all the steps of the build. Your really fill in the gaps left in other series. I’m mesmerized by the work on Oddball’s channel, but he rarely goes into this level of detail on how to actually accomplish the build. Thanks so much for taking the time to show us. Someday, when I can afford an Armortek tank, this will be invaluable information.

    • Thanks Jeffrey, that means a lot to me...I watch Oddballs channel and to be honest this is the reason why I started my channel..I needed to find the in's and out's of building a model like this, but struggled to find anyone showing the sort of detail and information for beginners like me...The Tiger build allowed me to develop skills I already had and discover new ones...on this build I thought it would be good to show off much more of the build so that novices like me could see through the mist and feel confident about building one of these amazing kits..I really hope you manage to get one of these and experience the journey of building one. Thanks for your continued support.

  • I agree with Jeffrey Cohn's comment. I also appreciate Tony's response. I'm looking forward to the next weathering because I have no experience. I think the video time is just right. We hope to see you next time.

Thank you so much. Your support is very much valued and appreciated. I have had some negative comments about this video, but I want to cover more of this build than I did with the Tiger, so anyone watching can feel confident should they choose to purchase one of these amazing kits. There can be long tedious sections of the build and this is part of the entire process...no point in skipping these if you want to show the real experience...Your support is amazing and thank you so very much.

  • A gentle gust of wind! Absolutely typical, just as you set everything up and think you are in the clear, Mr British Weather comes along and ruins it... Against the grain, I DID enjoy watching paint dry.

  • Thanks for the vid Tony. The tank is going to look great! Re; your ‘bike riding’ comments. I’m retired two years now and i do trail riding on mountain bikes. I love it, but it can be dangerous. Have you thought about an ‘ebike’? You mike enjoy a cruiser ebike.

  • Thanks for the upload Tony, it's amazing how much a spot of paint changes things, also nice to see I'm not the only person who ends up spraying outside in a breeze lol, great to see the Tiger putting in an appearance too, have a great weekend buddy.

    • Thanks Russ...Typical British weather :-)...just as I start to paint the wind picks up....I am pleased with the results and have gone on to weather these up before I stowed them away. the Tiger is a permanent companion...took it through some more paces last weekend and still runs brilliantly.

    • @@tonys_workshop I'm sure I thought you said you were gonna donate the Tiger when you've finished building it?! Or did I just imagine that?

    • You are correct...I have offered this to a local war museum as an active display...they are considering it...?? what ever that means....crazy...thought they would have loved to have it...I still hope to donate this to them or a similar good cause...should they want it....In the mean time, I will continue to enjoy it....

  • Hi Tony, you have cost me a lot of money!!! I love watching your videos, thanks for taking the time to make them. They are truly inspiring. I had to go out and buy the Pershing kit which I am enjoying building. Whilst not quite at the first painting stage yet I am trying to do some forward planning and to get some paint bought. Can you tell me roughly how many cans you used please . Keep up the good work…..

    @johnelkington7729@johnelkington77296 ай бұрын
    • Hi John, sorry about that😂 I bet you are already addicted to building these incredible kits. The Pershing is a great choice, you will love it...maybe not the grilles 😂 but you will love the finished results. I used approx 4 cans of etching primer, 6 cans of red primer and 8 cans of the Olive Drab green. I bought 10 cans just in case, but only used 8. Hope this helps. Thank you for watching and commenting on my channel and hope my build videos of the M26 are helping you. Please do not hesitate to message me if you get stuck on anything, I will always try and help.

  • Thank you Tony for patiently taking the time to show all the steps in your build. If it's not there already you should add "inspirational" to your CV. After watching your first 13 videos, I took the plunge and ordered an Armortek M26 Pershing kit of my own. I'm now nervously waiting delivery, but I'm pretty confident that I'll follow your build sequence. I'm also clearing space in my garage/workshop as you've shown quite clearly that this is a large scale job! May I ask, did you choose or would yourecommend a specific Olive Drab paint? Having just seen the large number of aerosols needed I'm wondering whether I should be looking at using a compressor & spray gun combination?

    @keith-morgan@keith-morgan10 ай бұрын
    • Hi Keith, thank you for your very kind and appreciative comments. That is great news and you will enjoy the experience. I can assure you when you unpack it and especially the turret, it will blow you away...I really hope that my build experience will help you through the process and if you get stuck at any point, give me a shout and I will see what I can do to help. I used paint by a military paint supplier for Industrial Army Paint, Color: Olive Drab RAL 6014, 400ML spray can, Gloss level: Matt....The painting process is broken up over the entire build so I used the spray cans, so I can quickly pick up and paint when needed... Hope this helps...

  • Are you going to use an airbrush for the weathering process, I've seen it done on 1/35 models. Looks great. Have you thought about another tank build? If so, what would it be. The tank is coming along great, can't wait to see the top of the tank come together.

    @outdoors7076@outdoors707610 ай бұрын
    • Still thinking about this...I went on to weather these away from camera and used a combination of brushes and sponges...i am really pleased with the results...even put a few muddy foot prints on them....will be a different story for the main hull me thinks....I will share this when the time comes..Air brush will be used for the decals. Thank you for your continued support..

  • Morning Tony great paint tutorial. I always drop the cans in a bowl of lukewarm water for 10 minutes before spraying to thin the paint down. Are you going to get that trusty mallet of yours on those side bins and mudguards to show wear and tear ?

    • Hi Steve, that is a good tip and will defo try that with the paint....Not sure about beating it up :-) but I have already weathered it and really pleased how it looks...I will show that when its time to install on the tank...Thanks for continuing to watch and support mate, it means a lot to me.
