Join me as I set off on another epic tank build. This time the incredible 1/6 scale M26 Pershing tank by Armortek.

Hearing you talk about the constant need to search for the fittings needed for each stage a bit of pre planning might help with this. Either get a set of parts drawers to put the fixings in with each drawer labeled with the bag number and contents or get a pegboard and pin the bags up in order of the bag number or what they will be used for. A bit of work preparing before starting construction will reduce the amount of work later on. good luck with the build.

Nice looking kit! I just unboxed my Tiger 1 #35 and inventoried the parts. I did not unwrap any parts, but as you say, you got to find it at some point. I saw 1 builder here in the USA unbox,unwrap, and pile everything up. That seams to me to be problematic. I repacked my boxes just as they came until I get started. I promised my wife that I would finish my Pocher kit first! Keep up the good work, and your tool video was very helpful.
Hi David, that is the best way to do it. I cannot imagine how difficult it would be to find these parts once you get into the build unless you keep them in the packing. I tend to try and separate the packs into Hull parts, wheel parts, suspension parts, top deck parts, turret parts and so on, so when I come to that stage, the packs are together. Good luck with the Tiger build and if you need any help, please feel free to give me a shout.

Three boxes full of WOW factor, and yes, just like Xmas morning. It was lovely to see your obvious excitement at each lucky dip. I found myself shouting “ there is only one tow cable”🤣 I know how that felt as I unboxed my kit and started the journey that we are on. Yes,I felt the same way Tony. I was like a kid on Christmas unboxing. This is the most fun I have had in a long time building something. I also was in awe of the parts and the beautiful machining. I have just added welding seams with milliput and filled some joints as well. I am also modifying the exhaust to look a bit more like the original, and also added some Milliput around some areas on the front casting to round out areas that are a bit more hard edged than reference photos I have of the original. So much fun. All my parts have been primed already, but I am ready to put final primer paint on the lower hull assembly, then olive drab mix with khaki drab Good luck with the build.

I luv this video! Makes me wanna get 1 or 2 M26 Pershing one for house display and one for testing the armor and shoot it with Guns maybe a 50 cal so its kinda act as King Tigers Projectile 😅 But I luv this this is so cool!❤🔥❤🔥

The M26 Pershing came way too late during WWII appearing at the end of 1944 early 1945. The Germans actually expected something like the Pershing to have appeared from day 1 and were amazed that the might of America only produced the rather lame Sherman with its weak low velocity 75mm gun. The German PAK40 canon could take out a Sherman at over 1000 meters, with the shell often going straight through. The M26 Pershing had a powerful hi velocity 90mm main gun that could penetrate a Tigers frontal armour at 3,000 meters, its just a pity the Americans didn't put this tank into production much much earlier. As far as _Tonys Workshop_ is concerned, its going to be a very interesting build as it was quite a large tank with a large turret and long barrel, so definitely going to take up some space!

I’m so excited to see this build. I very much want to own this kit, and detail it to match the Pershing involved in the famous battle vs the Tiger in Cologne. I hope it’s available in a couple years when I (may) have the cash.
Hi Jeffrey. Thanks for watching and supporting. I have the same plan...the Eagle 7...my sons helped me with the purchase of this as they knew how much I wanted it. Armortek do have payment plans, if that would help you. Thats what I did. I pre-ordered it and paid in instalments.

love it, the only 4 vehicles i would love to build at this scale is the tiger, sherman, halftrack, and the 88. my only issue is i cant afford these lovely kits
Thanks Ken. These are great kits but yes they are expensive...my sons helped me to purchase this as they know how much I loved building the Tiger. I really hope you do manage to get a kit from Armortek. It took me 10 years to get the Tiger, and I do not regret it. Looking forward to better weather so I can get both tanks on the go. I was thrilled to see Tony's smiling expression when he opened the third box. What a unique turret! ! Looking forward to building. PS. All of Tony's Pershing boxes were beautiful. My Tiger 1, FAMO, King Tiger, Jagd Tiger, Pak43/41 The box that arrived in Japan via China was wrinkled. I unpacked Tiger 1 and Pak 43/41 with anxiety. (not yet opened) 3個目の箱を開けた時のトニーの微笑みの表情が見ていて私もワクワクしました。 なんと個性的なターレット何でしょうか！！ 構築を楽しみにしています。 追伸。トニーのパーシングの箱はすべて綺麗でしたね。 私のタイガー1・FAMO・キングタイガー・ヤークトタイガー・Pak43/41は 中国経由で日本に届いた箱はヨレヨレでした。 不安な気持ちでタイガー1とPak43/41を開梱しました。（他はまだ開けていない）

When you built your tiger, how long did it take. I mean 3, 4, 5 months or longer? Just trying to gauge how long its going to take for the Jagdtiger
Hi...so I received the Tiger Jan 2022....and I was ready for the option packs by early May...to complete the entire project, approx 6 months....that was made up of say 2/3 weekends out of each month and a few evenings...Hope this helps. PS. the build part is a fantastic journey so enjoy the time it takes.
Talking of cameras what ratio are you filming in, your video doesn't fill a 16.9 ratio tv there are massive black bars all round the picture? Good luck with the build looking forward to seeing your progress. Best wishes Vic

I am not able to answer that question...my son is the whizz on cameras...he set this up for me....I am using a DJI Pocket 2 Creator Combo camera and mic...again, what he recommended...sorry I cant answer your question, but hope you continue to follow my build.

Omg Tony you got the Pershing! Just the one I want (saving up for one, keeping my wife in the dark lol). I want to do a replica of the m26 that was used in the famous cologne battle. If you havent read the book "Spearhead" its a great read. Anyway you're awesome sir. I'm real excited how this will turn out, and I'll know you will do it great. //Kris

Yeah I probably will eventually. Only thing i fear is that it will be out of stock before im done negotiating with the missus. That could take longer than the Swedish entry to Nato. Anyway thanks again and looking forward to your next video. //Kris

Hi Jeff, they vary in price...Armortek have kits currently listed from below £2,000 rising up to £4,500. They do offer payment plans as well. Hope this helps.
What is the cost of that in usd?
Depending on the exchange rate about $6000 including shipping to the US. The motion, sound, smoke packs, batteries and RC are still needed to make it operational.

I have kit #16 and live in the USA and have been wanting an Armortek tank for at least 10 years and have missed out on the Tiger 1 and King Tiger, I was not going to miss out on another tank.
@@DKR977 For shipping to the US, it depend of the tank. About 500 to 600 pounds, you would need to covert that to USD.
