The EPOS I SENNHEISER GSP 601 headset is one of my favorite gaming headsets I've used thus far. I absolutely love the comfort, passive noise isolation, and looks. The sound profile is so special that specs do not do it justice. If you want a straight forward, no BS headset that works well with any headphone connection, the GSP 601 should be at the top of your list at this price point. Side note - the GSP 600 is the same headset but in black, and the GSP 602 is the same headset in dark blue.

Amazing channel. Listened to ~10 reviews and wow, man, you are just great. Though, I doubt: GSP 300 ( budget choice), Corsair HS65 wired or Steel Series Nova 1/3. Mostly MMO games and youtube, currently using HyperXCloud 2 and do not like them. Sweating ears, not so adoptable position. Appreciate your advise.
Very good review thank you Are these good for listening to music. I listen to a lot of bass heavy music but they would also be used for some gaming. ? Would the Epos Amp make the sound better and louder as I like them loud and booming. I guess there are others better but I love the look of these.
I'm a Controller in an Operations Centre. So I spend 12hrs a day/night shifts with a headset on. So I reviewed and reviewed all sorts of headphones and spent a good few hundreds pounds over the passed couple of Years. I got these 4 weeks ago. Absolute game changer. Feels great on the head and doesn't hurt my ears of head. And the sound Quality is unreal (and yes I game with them to sometimes). Defo recommed getting these.

So, about sound quality, how is this compared to the HD 569?
You are 100% correct about the bass. I have a GSP 602, and also a H6pro, and still, I like the 602 better. They say the 602 and the H6pro have the same drivers, but I hear the bass on the 602 to be better than the H6pro. Maybe is a placebo effect, I don't know.

You try the Epos H3 headset? That's a lower priced option that sounds amazing. Or if you like open-back headsets...the GSP500 is really nice.
I’m hoping to get the H3 next for review. The GSP 500 is really nice. It it’s a bit older now so I don’t think they want more coverage on it and I don’t think it would do well viewer wise enough to justify the cost of buying one for fun. It’s a great headset though!
@@GadgetryTech Yeah I'm surprised they didn't refresh it with a new color. The GSP 601 is basically the older GSP600 in a different color. I didn't see any difference spec wise

Could you tell me how well this performs for actual music listening? Im currently on the Xbox Wireless headset but I feel like that it performs poorly as a music listening headset even if its EQ tuned. Oh and I really like the content its always very helpful.
Thanks! KZhead lost my response to you (some weird error) so I'll try typing it again.. Out of the box it has a very strong sub bass, flat mids, and a couple recessed points on the highs. It's a joy to listen to with music. Depending on your genre or listening preference, you may want to tweak the highs a bit to open them up more or widen the sound stage. I'd say these sound better than most sub $300 headsets I'd tested, and work well with music. On bass heavy tracks, you may even dial bass back a bit, but again that depends on your preference.
Are they including the dac thru the Amazon link you posted? I don't see anything about the dac in the link..that's a great deal if they included that.

Does anyone know if the GSP 600 series uses the same drivers as the H6 Pro ? This might be a dumb question. I know the frequency response is completely different between the two.
I was comparing the GSP 600 to 601, basically they both have similar mics but the sound quality better on the 601 model

Depends on your play style. That setting will sound incredibly immersive but if you want to hear foot steps easier I would consider boost.
Would this headset couple well with the new Turtle Beach Recon controller?
It works extremely well with it! I used it more than any other headset when using the Recon controller. The efficiency is higher than most gaming headsets which means it get's much louder at the same output. I like using it with Signature Sound or even the Super Human Hearing mode if you need just a little bit more volume.
There was no spare pair of side plates in the box of my gsp602's. :((( Only cost $99aud/$62usd though so I shouldn't complain. Don't like the clamping on my head and prefer my audiotechnica ath-adg1x and beyerdynamics dt990's tbh. Sound wise they are ok paired with my g6 amp but the closed ear cups just feel weird to me.
Torn between these and the Turtle Beach 700 (Gen 2). What would you go for? I've got the Series X. I've been a fan of wired headsets in the past, but acknowledge it's maybe time to try a wireless headset as well. Wired are better in my opinion, Bluetooth still looses some quality. Might not be noticeable for gaming tho.
@@false-set Bluetooth? Most of the gaming headsets don't use bluetooth. They use a 2.4Ghz dongle which is a huge difference in range, power, and bandwidth.

Do You need an audio enhancer? Because i remmeber buying GSP 500 for PS4, i connected then to my PS4 controller and I didnt Hear too much sound. Si eventually i buyed "CREATIVE Sound BlasterX" (USB DOCK)to Hear to Game bacause the sound Was too low. I already have PS5. I don't have the GSP 500 anymore
They can connect directly to PS5 controller without needing any enhancements to boost sound. They are very efficient.

Does this actually work with the xbox series x? I use an elite series controller 2 and am trying to find a new wired headset. I have watched a few of your videos and am deciding between this and the A40's with mixamp and Optical/HDMI converter
This works with the Series X Elite 2 controller without any issues. I've used it a lot in that exact configuration. The A40 w Mixamp Pro gives you more control with audio settings, so if that part is important it may be better for Xbox use. The 601 is straight plug and play.
@@GadgetryTech I ended up getting the A40 with mixamp pro but I can't assign it to my gamertag. I dont know how to fix it and had to manually download the firmware to get it to updaet .

I do own GSP500 and with this design, the comfort is a little questionable or just not suit everyone. In terms of look and sound are incredible

Honestly with the amount of headsets I test, I change things up weekly, sometimes several times a night to compare. My go-to analog to controller has been this GSP 601. With wireless, I tend to use the Stealth 700 Gen 2 the most because the clarity and comfort is excellent, and I can use bluetooth to PC at the same time. If I go more hardcore with my setup, I route the audio to my headphone amps which are the Schiit HEL 2 and the JDS Labs Atom.

I've owned about 3 pairs of these, my biggest gripe is the bass distortion. With the volume on max, anytime the bass gets heavy the treble gets distorted....kinda makes me question why they cost so much if the drivers can't handle the power of a proper amplifier.
i bought this headset for my son. at first we had troubles to install. and then the sound is really shitty. no bass and in general not clear. can you help me please?

Hi there im just curious but does an audio jack effect the quality of an audio? And will having a better audio jack actually makes it better?
as opposed to wireless? If so, I'd say wired is much better. especially with a dac.
Do you think thise headset is better than the audeze penrose ?
H6PRO is a little better than this. Penrose is amazing but can be a little buggy. It works really well in aux mode but doesn’t have the same crazy volume it does in wireless mode, which is where occasional connection issues happen.
Whats the best headset for an xbox console. Xbox one x. Have a artic 9x an they keep un synching. So i got the new xbox headset an it works just want your opinion
Best wireless headset, regardless of price seems to be the Astro A50 if you can feed it optical somehow. Next best wireless is the Stealth 700 Gen 2. For mixed use, the Beoplay Portal is good for gaming but amazing for music. I have the Penrose X as well right now from Audeze (only for a couple days so far) but there's some popping that happens when using it for more than 15 minutes. On Xbox, Atmos for sure. On PC it's subjective but I still enjoy Atmos the most.

H6PRO closed back has a bit better detail retrieval and I think they are a little more comfortable as well. Both are great though
Epos worse assembly quality than sennheiser. Sennheiser used to make these gsp 600's what not without epos with no problems but now ive returned epos gsp 600's 2 times cuz the things on the inside rattle they arent like screwed together
