When you mentioned that you did the whole video with that very microphone, I was like "what!?". **Que jaw drop and eyebrow raise.
That's why I love leaving the reveal of that till mid way in :)
It was obvious to me: it sounds good, but not nearly as good as his normal mic.
I had a suspicion that you were recording with the headset mic, but to have it confirmed still surprised me. It is so clear and sounds high quality. WTF EPOS?
Great video blunty, your headphone/headset videos are some of my absolute favorites, those and the camera stuff, also I’m definitely after I get my PS5 paid for I am definitely gonna check out one of these headsets
amazing mic. Great review Blunty
Thanks for the video - I initially used the GSP 670 but I kept having bad interference frequently. With much regret I returned them. I am currently now using the PC38X’s and am super happy! Will definitely stay on the lookout for EPOS new top of the line wireless model
I've had a GSP 350 for 2 years and it's probably one of my favourite things I've ever owned. Sennheiser is amazing.
's what I'm sayin' :3
Still rocking the Game One's that you recommended back in the day. Like Blunty, would recommend headsets in this range - a premium but definitely worth it.
Still rocking my GSP 300. love these headphones. :D
Just got the 670's and they are amazing, really really enjoying them, thanks to your review from a year ago
I'm thinking buying them also.. Just tell me how's the sound of movies and music.. I know it kicks ass on games..
The sound of music is pretty good, you'll have to set it for music specifically, but they sound pretty amazing, bass is a little less then I'd prefer but I like a lot of bass
Nice. I’m currently eyeing a pair as a Christmas present to myself and have a question if you don’t mind. I’m aware you can have a simultaneous dongle and Bluetooth connection but is it able to mix the audio from both? Listen to music on a phone while gaming on a pc for example.
First time hearing about these. They seem nice. Expensive but nice. That mic quality is unmatched and I can only imagine what the sound is like. Next time I upgrade I will definitely consider the 600s. 👍
So many Hands!!! Maybe when my current headphones break. HyperX Cloud Stingers that you reviewed a few years ago, but they are still going strong. I don't use the mic that much, but that Mic just sounds soooo good.
Hey Blunty, nice review! Before I head to Sennheiser's website to buy my own pair of GSP 500, can you tell me what do you plug yours into? Is it the on-board sound card in your motherboard or do you have a dedicated AMP for them? Just want to make sure I get the best sound out of them and make sure my MIC will sound as good as it possibly can. My motherboard seems to have a decent sound processing system built into it. I'm using the AORUS X570 MASTER. Thanks :)
These look promising, I’ll look into them :) the mic quality is a pleasant surprise. How would you say the audio playback quality compares to something like a pair of ATH-M50x’s? They sound fantastic and I understand comparing them to a gaming headset isn’t exactly fair but I’m getting a little tired of having to use a seperate microphone so I’m thinking of getting a combined headset again. That or get a modmic.
I just got the gsp 600, they are the best sounding and most comfortable headset i've ever had. The spring loaded speaker arms are amazing. I heard bass tones in War Thunder explosions I never heard before, the frequency range is impressive.
I previously had the game zeros and loved them, unfortunately they got destroyed while traveling. I bought the gsp 600s last year and love them. Also blunty there's a new headset by sennheiser + drop called the pc38x that use the same internals as the gsp line up. Maybe take a look at them
I recently just bought one of these, I need to find my manual because I only just learned the bit at the top moves and I don’t understand it. Also pretty sure the microphone is very picky when you use noise sensitivity. I wish I bought the epos 500 as I do agree open back is better as I’m a bit loud when playing video games sometimes and my room is a bit closer to a certain bedroom
Thanks for the reminder video about these awesome headphones Blunty! I've apparently had a long term "Brain-Fart", and didn't realize that the EPOS brand was connected with Sennheiser. Don't know why the heck that flew over my head and didn't sink in. But knowing this now, they're on my radar for first set of quality wireless headphones! Thanks!
Yeah. The change over to EPOS is still relatively new (and consumer awareness of it, is part of why they sponsored this very video)
Throwing a bone to the algorithm, but at the same time saying HEY, thanks for caring and giving us the truth :)
My PC 350 SE's, HD598 SE's, HD58x and my momentum ear buds agree on the build quality :) The look of the GSP range is a bit too gamer for my own taste bu they all look solidly built.
Holy shit! A wireless gaming headset that *actually* has decent quality sound and mic?! I've been whinging about this for doonkeys ever since I begrudgingly got my Siberia 840's. Only got them because there wasn't anything else that supported wireless and bluetooth simultaneously (Little did I know that the bluetooth quality was shite and I couldn't use it for a phone call anyways because it literally sucks that bad) If these wireless ones sound as good as you say, (and I'd like to see a frequency response of both the speakers and mic) I'm totally going to get a pair. Was looking at Sennheiser's wireless headset umm-ing and err-ing over them for so long. But these sound like they really fit the bill and thank fuck too. Was really getting over companies releasing expensive shitty shit thats shit. Cheers, Blunty!
Can the GSP 670 wireless be used in wired mode and do they perform the same as 600/601/602 when plugged-in?
I plan to pick up the GSP 601 tomorrow they look like they are build perfectly. I'm picking them over the Razer Nari Ultimate.
My most recent purchase for a gaming headset are the HyperX Cloud 2. Not the most high quality gaming headset but still, compared to my sennheiser headphones they lack a lot. When I hear about these gaming headsets I feel the quality may be much much to what I am used to
is that a micro-usb port for charging on the wireless headset? :(
I'm pretty sure you also like the open back so you can hear yourself talking to check if you pronounce the words right. This is a struggle for me sometimes with a closed back
My problem is that I can't stand large over the ear headphones because my brain starts boiling in 15 minutes. I also can't stand in-ears with rubber seals because that pressure feel bothers me and I can hear my own heartbeat. I mostly use $20 old earpod clone buds because those are the only ones I can wear for more than 20 minutes without going insane... Looking for similar design that actually works good...
So I want to get a good gaming headset for Cyberpunk when it eventually releases. However I have difficulty wearing headphones for extended periods, as they give me headaches (whether by clamping too hard on my head or the sound just throbbing my ears. Which one of these would you recommend for me?
You mean if… IF cyberpunk releases ;P… and I’d recommend the GSP 500. I’ve worn their similarly constructed predecessors for many many hours on end in complete comfort.
Unless something better comes out before my current headset kicks the bucket, which to be fair should be a while from now, I know which headset I'll be picking up next!
what’s the microphone quality like on the wireless headset?
Not quite as good as the wired ones, but still MUCH better than most gaming headsets, ESPECIALLY compared the other wireless ones (which not only usually cheap out on the mic but also don't give much wireless bandwidth to it making ti worse still). You can hear the GSP 670's mic extensively in my original review kzhead.info/sun/ZduBfdZug3Vvq4U/bejne.html from about the 4 minute mark on I'm recording with the 670's.
Ever since the index came out I started to like the idea that nothing should touch my ears to get some nice sounds in my ears. Just never liked covering my ears in general. Too hot. Granted a lot of heat is built up in the eye sockets as well when flapping my arms and evading things.
Would these headsets be compatible with the PS5? Would you need an adapter to make them work on the console?
The wired ones will be 100% fine (PS5 controller still has the same TRRS plug the PS4 used) - Obviously I can't test that yet but the wireless SHOULD work pn PS5, with the included USB dongle, as it reports itself as a normal audio device so unless sony have gone out of their way to break comparability with standard USB sound interfaces (and who knows... it's SONY FFS) then they should work plug and play.
Sound excellent comfort bad I used 500-600-670 the construction is like a tank and it sits like a tank now a have the 370 ...comfort excellent sound very good
Wouldn't mind getting one if it didn't have a mic on all of them cause I already have a great mic
I don't suppose there's a wireless open-backed option is there?
Sadly, no. I've asked them, like literally spoke to one of their lead engineers a few years back & BEGGED for it. But no.
@@BluntyTV I am inconsolable.
I've been eyeing the 670 for a while, but so many people are reporting various issues with them...
U have cursed me with wanting these for the mic quality alone "Good news" my headset is starting to fail and will need a new one "Bad news" i had 90 bucks put aside for the new headset that now need to double
Wish they’d drop the try hard GAMER design, that is for more low end products, that need to overcompensate.
Only compromise is looks...oh and no wearing them with a beanie
I’m going to order the gsp 600 for now to see how much i like them then after a while i will get the 670 .. my last few headsets was turtle beaches the headband broke astro a40 and some logic tech wireless headset they all sound the same if the Sennheiser are actually that good ima be sennheiser dick rider
[sigh] micro usb charging
Oof $300 tho.
Over priced no thanks
