Today we're looking at a premium gaming headset from an audiophile friendly company, that company is sennheiser or EPOS and their premium gaming flagship, the EPOS GSP 601. This is a stylish modern gaming headset, that has people pondering over its design. Some people love it, some people think it's the worst thing to ever exist. It's been out for a while, but maybe has been dismissed a little by the gamer community especially the console gaming and PS5 community. However, we give the headset a voice by testing it out with PS5's Tempest 3D Audio engine, and boy does it surprise. Is that a good thing? Watch the video to find out.

Actually the first person ive seen talking about sound quality in single player games. FINALLY!! Have you tested maaybe God of war for PS5 of course and bloodborne? Im interested in buying this although i think its a bit expensive right here. It goes for 155 euros in Greece. I only play single player games and i couldnt care less about multiplayer shooters lol. If you have tested it in more single player games i would love to hear your opinion only for PS5 of course. I own over 40 single player games and im a bit stressed about it... Anyways thank you for the video and all the hard work you put in. My respect from Greece!
Glad I could help you out! If the audio is good in one single player game usually it's good in most the others. It's just time-consuming to test all games for a headset, a few will give you a good idea. these will probably be great for God of War

@picsoleated do I need an adopter for the PS5 dualsens Controller when I will use the mic from the Headset aswell? I Play a lot of Warzone with my Friends in discord, Party and ingame Chat. BTW nice review!
Thanks for this review dude. Is the volume loud on max using it with the PS5 controller?? I prefer harsh highs as I only care about footsteps and critical sounds in Warzone, but is the imaging good with this headset??
The imaging is some of the best I've heard with PS5

I cant seem to find the EPOS GSP 601 on the EPOS website. Only GSP 601. I am looking for a good sounding headset that is designed or takes good use of the PS5 3D Tempest audio. Dont care about price, any suggestions?

Word is Epos is being shut down soon. Makes sense considering Sennheiser sold their consumer division a couple years ago. I've been looking at these headphones for a while but finally ordered a pair (602, I really like that colorway) to add to the collection before they all went away. I'll be using this for PC gaming, run through a Soundavo HP-DAC1.
I ordered mine and it got delivered today. I noticed the microphone stick was way to loose. I contacted customer support. I always have this kind of bad luck…

@@djmervizzzy No problems so far, the mic setup for warzone was a pain in the butt however that wasn't the headsets fault. I've gotten compliments about the mic quality.

@@djmervizzzy I got mine for 60 aswell. Youll need the amp for another 40$ or so on ebay and the settings are a bit subjective but the jist of it is a balance of testing your mic on pc and making sure it's connected and working then making sure your voice chat settings are good on warzone. They are both similar, but since these are wired I would give these the edge
If you are having an issue with Warzone but other games seem fine, the only consistent thing is the game itself.

EPOS is dog shit, and if you're recommending it you arent being up front about how bad their products are and how horrible the software is.
Why? I have the pc38x and love them. Most reviewers love them as well. I’m curious why you hate them so much? Lol
@@JayCruz49er the software is basically non functional, and the quality was worse than headsets half it's price. I literally ordered a dozen different options to compare and EPOS unfortunately did not live up to Senhiesser. Even the old GSP600 crapped all over the newer EPOS options for quality, really was disappointing.
