Your review is on another level. I dont know how but I've become your fan in a really short time
Nice I'm looking at monitors like this one to upgrade to from a 24 inch 1080p screen this summer. :)
Congrats!!! Excelent video! Do you have any problems with death or bright pixels?
hey jarrod! with all this pandemics ppl tend (including myself) to game more, so i'm also planning an upgrade to my rig. could you do your top monitors Q1 2020? thanks!
Price: $900 A bit excessive Shipping: +$950 Wtf
OZKORAPPA I can't even afford food
@@grampton F
Just a heads up, The FI27Q, pretty much the exact same monitor, is only $400 on newegg right now! The P version is $550 too
Yay, more monitors ❣️
hi jarrod. how do u compared this monitor against LG 27 GL850-B ? which one u recommend? i m planning to buy one soon. TQ . keep up the good work. Peace
Jarrod, am hoping the new aero 17 review very soon. And the Aorus 15G to arrive too. Its officially releasing on the 16th in my area.
Hey Jarrod. I have this monitor which I just bought and its a nice one. It just has a black light bleed on left corner and I am thinking to change it to viewsonic one that you just reviewed. What do you thing about that? What do you think about the colors? Does colors look better on viewsonic? Or is it the same between those two?
Jarrod, I am wondering between 2 laptops: one is the Asus Rog G G531GU, with 120hz, 1660ti and i7-9750h, 512ssd and 16gb ram dual channel. And the other one is the Infinity X5-9G6 with the same specs, but with 144hz, you have a review of it in your channel. Which one do you recommend me? I am in New Zealand though
oh my god i just want this monitor already i actually like this better then other monitors.
Hey Jarrod, wondering if you could help me pick out my next gaming laptop? I'm tossing up between the MSI Alpha 15 with the same specs as the one you reviewed recently for about $1500AUD. Or I'm looking at the Asus TUF505DU with the 1660Ti, and Ryzen 7 3750H for $1600AUD. Or I'm considering if it's worth getting the Asus TUF505DV with the RTX 2060 and Ryzen 7 3750H for $1800. Since you're by far the best tech KZheadr from Australia I was wondering if you could help me out 😊 the main reason the Alpha 15 is in the mix is just for the per key RGB lighting, but that's a bit niche. If you could recommend any other laptops with the same bang-for-buck experience I'd greatly appreciate it!
Can you do a vid covering what those NTSC/RGB/whatever values are? I know that it looks like a gaming monitor, I know what FreeSync/G Sync/refresh rate and resolution mean - but I have no idea what does the 10bit color give me or what do I get with that color accuracy thingy - as I'm not an editor, just a gamer. Or point me to the place in the vid which explains? I usually watch entire vids but when it comes to monitors I just skip the color part because I normally assume that it's irrelevant to me as a gamer
Can you make a video about 4K monitor with 60 hz that will be great to use when next GPU arrived?
can you recommend some options of 10 bit and image quality on lower price ?
This review was perfect. I've been looking for a 1440p 144hz+ 27" Good color monitor amd this is literally exactly what I was looking for. It's great when you do tech other then laptops too.
There's the ViewSonic elite with the same features and gsync
@@arnodolisandro It doesn't have HDR
I was worried about upgrading from my trusty acer but now I can’t wait till this arrives
Thanks for the video Jarrod! Just got this monitor and made an unboxing video on it. Keep up the quality content!
What's your opinion on it?
Any chance you could review the Acer Nitro An515 2020? Seems like a nice budget laptop. For under 700$
Hey jarrod can you compare this with the acer vg271up from acer it's cheaper and is using the same panel but at 144hz
Hi man. This is better than the Benq EX2780Q?
Hey Jarrod, I think that the level of depth in your review was great and easily compares with the best - Especially when mentioning which ports work with g-sync and/or free sync - BUT, I actually found your tone a little irritating. That's just my opinion. Others may find it a bit bland? I don't know if you've seen it, but you remind me of the current host of 'Police Ten 7' in NZ. Its like their version of RBT Australia? Btw, I saw a comment referring to Delta values? I believe that relates to colour accuracy? A delta value
Yeah just the way I sound, probably partly the Australian accent, either way not much I can do about it. Yeah delta E values are for accuracy, unfortunately my tool does not measure that
Hi I just bought this screen and I use Nivdia 2080s card so my question is I should use the display port only and unplug the HDMI ? I mean I don’t know the correct way to do it I’m nobie in PC world
Hi Jarrod, Recently I found my y545 power drop very fast, just cover the screen one hour later , 100%->60% How can I do? 😭
is this good for upcoming consoles ?
Hey Jarrod could you please include delta values of the displays in yours videos?
How do you mean?
@@JarrodsTech I mean the slight change in color like one green colour looking like another green color. It's hard to explain as I am not a expert in displays 😅
hey thanx for Review ... but i have some Issues ... When I change monitor to HDR mode from windos The picture becomes gray !! Then this is also reflected in the games ... Please, I want a solution
Since there's still no word on the pushed back release date of the Odyssey G9 I might grab one of these and switch it to my other rig when the G9 finally comes out. I mean nobody even said it was pushed back but it was supposed to be out by now and with everything going on I haven't heard anything so I'm pretty sure it got delayed.
Rumored to be June of this year www.reddit.com/r/ultrawidemasterrace/comments/fxorxe/odyssey_g9_possible_release_date_and_price_from/? I'd bet on Samsung still releasing then. They are going to want to take advantage of everybody being at home.
i wonder why the screen doesnt cover all the screen space and it has those black borders. (not the plastic part but on the screen itself)
I know its not related to the video but i have a question : i have to choose between 2 good pc the first one is : Lenovo L340-15irh specs: i5-9300h up to 4.1GHz,8 memory cache 9th generation, Ram:16gb, 2Tb HDD and finally gtx 1650, 4gb The second one is the HP Pavilion gaming pc specs : i5-9300h up to 4.1GHz,8 memory cache 9 th generation, Ram:16gb, 512SSD and finally gtx1650, 4 as i will use it for both gaming and education which is better an answer would be so much appreciated
Mind sharing the wallpaper from 02:45 ? Cheers
TheDeadlyAvenger thank you! :D
@Jarrod'sTech As I can see even from your video this monitor as well as some other gigabyte monitors have black bars around the bezels can you confirm to me that it isn't a deal breaker since I haven't seen anyone talk about it and I assume it doesnt matter . Just saw a long reddit review of this monitor mention it and I just wanna be sure before buying .
You're likely to find that with any monitor you buy. I've never seen a screen that is only screen perfectly edge to edge
I will buy a Series S, sorry for the question as i don't know that much of technology so i want to ask... Can I reach 1440p, 120 fps, have hdr, and the free sync with the hdmi port? Because it will be perfect for the Series S
U should test Asus tuf monitor. It has a special motion blur on top of g sync. I don't remember the name....
ASUS VG27AQ
Does it have built in speakers?
I got acer nitro with almost same spec for 325$ only. So can you different the extra 20hz?
make video about i7-9750H vs i7-10750H laptops. MSI ge75 (i7-10750H, rtx 2070) is very good choose!!
Backlight bleeding or no?
92% of DCI-P3? This is getting great. Sadly I’m still using a TN monitor..
haha i just order monitor haha
will it work on xbox one x or ps4 pro at 1440p 60hz or even at 120hz?
That contrast ratio looks wrong to me. These are capable of reaching 1100:1 easily. Think the issue is down to the SpyderPro and it's software.
you should review more metabox laptops :)
Waiting for their next gen stuff
@@JarrodsTech oh cool when u choose a laptop to review review the alpha x laptops coz there the cheaper ones and not every one has the money for the work stations they sell :) cant wait for the reviews. quality is fantastic
This or the lg 27gl850?
I love your videos. I'd build a new mini ITX (Ryzen 5 3600, RTX 2060s, 32gb, 2tb SSD) I watched your last video, It was Amazing.
I'm feeling poor looking at these monitor reviews. LOL. I like these monitor reviews, they're short and simple. This monitor doesn't have a Usb-c, a small miss given the price.
Cab we use gsinc on this monitor
Love your videos, like the product, hate the price XD
Thanks!
At 1:57 in advanced display it shows 10 bit depth, but on mine it says 12 bit @ 165Hz. I'm using the same monitor ! I have not updated any firmware yet.
Hmm, mine wasn't 12 in any instance that I tested
@@JarrodsTech In any case it says on the box that it is 10 bit. I have mine set in sRGB with overdrive set at speed and HDR set at ON in Display.
@@JarrodsTech my i7 7700 16gb ram gtx 1060 6gb with 20inch LG MP48 IPS monitor with onky HDMI 1.4 shows 10 bit and 12 bit option with chroma sub sampling 4.2.2 in nvidia control panel at 60hz
how tall is the stand?
i really never expected to see screen bleed on any desktop monitor
I have this monitor and I was thinking it was defective, but it seems in your video that the bordersare also not filling the edges! Why is that?
even my laptop has it like that and I never noticed it
Hi jarrod..if u have spend time..u can check illegear laptop gaming product with rtx....make ppl know about this product...this product look good
Whats the best gaminge laptop that doesnt look to ugly for 1000$ max ?
Both the F127Q and the F127Q-P version both game at 8-bit dithering. I had the p version and now have the non p version and in game they only go to 8-bit dithering.. I tested it for weeks and couldn't figure out why. So you can only take advantage of of the 10bit at 165hz with the p model with web browsing and desktop task... So the p model is a waste of money and i returned it to amazon. Only difference is the black equalizer 2.0 on the p model. It had better blacks over the non p version. But that's it... Love my non p version though. Even bought one for my wife. Got them when they were $429.99 each on amazon before all this covid stuff.
Yeah doesn't seem to be that big of a difference between P and non P, they asked if I wanted to do a comparison between them but didn't seem worthwhile.
AD27QD here.. basically the same. the sexiest display in the market..
I see your subscriber count is steadily climbing each day :)
Aorus is so underrated in gaming monitor market
Why do you say that?
For a 27" monitor is there a big difference between gaming in 1440p or 4K, assuming the same Hz?
yeah in single player games it does make a difference not too much but just enough but for multiplayer it makes no difference because you need lower graphics for 165fps
Where can i get those wallapers?
@@anxietyonpc6586 Thanks :)
it was on sale for a 350 USD bought it without thinking
great stuff, one hundred anyway :))
Im using Ad27qd and its freaking awesome
Good to hear!
when school ends, I'm going to build me a pc and I have no idea what monitor to buy can you suggest me one, please? (1440p 144hz)
if you want something cheeper check lg gl850. low fps performance is better but contrast is not as good as this.
ty
is it true 10 bit or 8+2 FRC?
Mmmh I saw other comments and the Amazon page that claims it's 8bit+FRC sadly
@Jarrod Could you please help me. I m planning to get a new laptop having 1660 ti Max-Q with a max price of Rs.114000 ($1500) and which weighs max 2.3 kg. Could you please suggest me the laptop?
I have only tested like 2 laptops with 1660 Ti Max-Q, Dell G3 and ASUS GA502DU, The i5/i7 in the Dell will beat the Ryzen CPU so will probably do better in games. Why is 1660 Ti Max-Q specifically your criteria?
@@JarrodsTech please correct me if I m wrong. I think that RTX series laptops are expensive and if we exclude that only1660 ti is the best. and Max-Q is used in thin and light laptops. If any laptop with RTX come under $1500 . In india that laptops will have higher prices than in other countries. If you have any other suggestions. it is greatly appreciated. Thank you for replying.
Can you compare it with the Asus VG27AQ ? Because according to me the Asus is better because it offers G Sync, HDR and ELMB for the same price (on paper)
Is it real 10bit or 8bit+FRC?
If you look at display specifications, its 8-bit + FRC
Jeez this is hard . So many 27 inch 1440p monitors with same specs. Which one to choose lol.
My best advice to give you would be if you care for colors more and black this is the monitor to go the P model since it has very good color accuracy amongst the top contrast in IPS panels (if you want perfect blacks go VA) contrast of about 1100 in the P model .Only real downside I can mention is that it has a bit of a more ms response time but since we are talking about MS it doesn't really matter unless you are gaming heavily competitevely AND are good enough to notice .I do competitive and AAA games and this monitor just seems for the perfect option . You can check the review of Hardware unbox and see what I mentioned for yourself .TL;DR Really great colours really great viewing angles TOP black levels amongst IPS panels and good response time.
This or vg279q
Imagine a monitor with a 100% prophoto color gamut
Ozzy price?
He said around 1000AUD
Wait Jarrod does that mean I'll need to connect a USB B cable to the monitor to use the other two USB A?
This is a pretty slick monitor. If there were not 120hz 4K monitors out in the wild I would be all over something like this. So I'm gonna wait till those come down in price.
I ordered it from scorptec yesterday !
Tell us please your experience with this baby monster :)
That price - woof, no thank you 👋
Wish it was a 16:10 or 3:2.
Hmm I guess not really a common size for gaming monitors
Wooof. If it was only 32inch
27 is already toooooooo big for my table man.
Jarrod I love all of your content but these days you seem to be doing more videos about hardware instead of laptops. Is there a reason why?
Because all the new laptops are still under embargo or delayed due to virus issues.
@@JarrodsTech Very true.
$715 on newegg currently. Way too expensive
Would rather buy a good mid range tower rather than buying this.
Get the lg27gl850, cheaper better g2g, less input lag, better g2g along all refresh ranges, more color accurate. Way better for $100usd less. Only thing is have fun finding it in stock anywhere
I can't for the life of me figure out how to set the refresh rate to 144 or 165hz...
@imgone monitor was defective, replacement works fine
There are better options like LG 27GL850
RIP Multi-GPU (NVIDIA SLI and AMD Crossfire) 2004-2020 Press F to Pay Respects
When the new XBOX is released I going to buy a monitor. Either 1440p or 4k depending on the price.
Go with TUF GAMING VG27AQ1A it's better price and quality ^^
Not really lol
How so? Can you please devellop on "quality"?
Movies onely 4K and FullHD, no 2K.
There is display with real blacks? Only oled display? Why always there is light in these panels. I do not wanna pay a lot of money for that display with a lot of glow.
Just bought it for 500 on newegg
Nice! Hope it goes well 👍
Jarrod'sTech thanks 🙏 cant wait to get my hands on it
How is your experience with this monster, tell us please :)
well last week it was 525.00
Hmm
Can someone just tell me if this is good for an Xbox / PS5 ? Lol
FYI: Refresh rate of the human eye varies from 60hz to 1000hz.
lol
Another video which i cant afford
That one dislike, was me. U R a filthy casual cuz u didn't test HDR n played Dota or whatever on a monitor like this.
