I can't express how much I appreciate how he keeps these videos short and to the point. Every other TechTuber has videos that are 30+ minutes in length and put out like 3 of them a day. This takes a lot more time and effort, so thank you!
Other KZheadrs monitor reviews like Hardware Unboxed reviews are significantly better and actually test the monitor and claims of the manufacturer in depth, instead of just providing marketing for the manufacturer. If I'm going to spent close to a grand on a display I would like to have some more scientific data and information.
@@The2808erik this man is correct.
Both types of videos can be hard to make. This one has more edits and needs more shots for fill in. For the other types instead of a lot of editing,. It's a lot of testing to make sure that what the producer of the product is saying is there is actually there and performs as they say. Both take time and effort.
@@forgetfuljade it is not the effort that matters but the results. Would you call taking a 24h bathroom break succesfull if you could not shit? No, you just wasted 24h.

Thanks for that mate. I just bought the 32" version as they're on clearance now due to being discontinued. Was keen on the newer Corsair 1440p Xeneon 240hz & some others but it's so hard finding anything in stock (Australia). I settled/gambled because it had the specs I wanted but now feel reassured after watching your video!

I'm subbed to many tech youtubers and when they upload about things I have no intention of buying/not interested in (like a new monitor) I will just ignore that video, or put it in the my watch later. But when you upload I just click on the video without even thinking about it, because I know its gonna be a good watch. I don't really care about water cooling a pc but damn have I watched all your video's on it. Your editing and presentation is that damn good.
Amazing review man. Exactly what I was looking for. Just ordered this exact monitor because of you.
Nice review thank you. If you want to change brightness on a monitor with keyboard key (like mac os) you can do it with DDC/CI standard. I change brightness quite a lot every day, and it's really easy that way. More than all these anti-ergonomic UI for monitor.
This monitor is amazing, will be getting it as my new main monitor when i build my next pc in 2 years
awesome video like always, Another monitor that i think would be great for you to review is the Acer Predator XB273U GX. It is a 270 hz 1440p IPS that i have not seen much coverage on and i think it would make for another great monitor review. keep up the good work.
My man always fragging hard on Apex... Master gameplay for sure
I've been waiting for these for awhile, finally a few options for 1440 240+hz and more on the way
I have the Samsung Odessey G9 32Inch, which I believe was the first monitor to offer 1440p/240hz, and I absolutely love it. I also like that it isn't overly gamery in looks, compared to this Aorus model.
pristine video quality. 👌🏼
I got the FI27Q-P and i can safely say that's a beast also the amount of specs thats it got its unreal and quality of the display its unreal. Worth every penny
Ohm my god was waiting for good review and have it
I actually have this monitor! I got it in Germany for 660e and it's been a pleasure to play Valorant in it with a rtx 3080. It's still in stock in Germany and Austria but there isn't much information or reviews out there.
Appreciate the heads up!

Thank you for mentioning the Alienware AW2721D as well! I was just coming down to write in the comments that the Alienware has no bezel at all and then you mentioned it in the video! I'm definitely interested in the Alienware more than the Aorus, simply because of the cleaner look
I have the Alienware AW2721D and I really like it. I also have the Dell S2721DGF and the Alienware is a lot bulkier than the Dell. I'm guessing because of the G-Sync module. Alienware has really thin bezels, even compared to the Dell.
@@jonminchoi Yeah, it's definitely got me extremely interested
@@jonminchoi hey there, I'm looking at getting the dell 2721dgf or the lg gp850 b. Which do you think would be better?
I recommend ClickMonitorDDC. It stays in the Windows Taskbar and you can change brightness quickly by alt-tabbing, hovering mouse over the icon and scrolling up or down. New monitors mostly support DDC communication so it should work. Way faster than using OSD.
Got mine back in April of 2021, absolutely love it so far. I am looking to buy another for a dual monitor setup but can’t seem to find any news on a potential restock? Did they already discontinue this monitor?
I have the Alienware AW2721D. It's all i need. Warzone on 2k, 170-240 fps. Settings - Low to Medium It's a DREAM!
I’m upgrading from a 1080p 240hz display to the 1440p 240hz Alienware AW2721D! What’re your pc specs? I’ll be running games like warzone as well on competitive low settings.
It's not 2k. It's 1440p.
@@svn5994 1440p is 2k , also called QHD
@@jordanbartek 2k is a misnomer, google it.
@@bobnorman3094 maybe you should google It , first result is 2K displays are those whose width falls in the 2,000-pixel range. More often than not, you'll find 2K monitors with a display resolution of 2560x1440, that's why it's often shortened to 1440p. However, this resolution is officially considered Quad HD (QHD) which agrees with what I have said
The OSD Sidekick software makes changing viewing settings and stuff a single click if you take the time to set some profiles up, ive got the KD25F and its a big time saver. boot up, launch, click profile, done. if you wana change settings on the newer Aorus stuff dont even bother using anything besides the OSD Sidekick.
I cannot wait for that Superlight to come into stock. The FI27Q-X looks perfect and the 240Hz is impressive I just can't go past the 27GN950.
Definitely going to get a similar monitor
unmatched content quality
Optimum Tech... You forgot the on screen OSD for this monitor!!! For me one of the biggest selling points of Aorus monitors and I use multiple it times a day to adjust brightness!
Exceptional monitor. Exceptional Wingman and Mastiff shots.
I completely agree that 1440p240Hz is the sweet spot. I got the Samsung G7 Odyssey 27" last year, and it is amazing. It is 1440p240Hz as a very responsive VA panel, rivaling the best IPS panels right now in terms of response times. I'd love to hear your views on it and comparing it to a monitor like this Aorus FI27Q-X.
Typically VA's have better response times but lack in colors. IPS has great, vivid colors, but response times were always slower. IPS response times have improved considerably though. Also this monitor is the first on a Sharp panel. 90% of the monitors out there are either AU Optronics or LG.
Can you do a review on the ROG Falchion for your next Keyboard Review? Always love your content Ali
I have the Alienware 27 240Hz monitor and love it. I was very iffy about buying it as you all my know, it's pretty pricey. Upon receiving it though, I got pretty excited. Color wise, it seems tool a bit off, due to the 8 to 10-bit color depth if I recall correctly. I can only game at 8-bit at 240hz versus 10-bit at 144 or 160Hz. Not sure if Alienware is suppose to come out with a firmware update to remediate that.
Superb review!
2:15 - Ali, check out Twinkle Tray. It's a sick UWP app that lets you adjust monitor brightness from the taskbar if your monitor supports DDC/CI.
Still happy and contented with my 24inch 144hz 1080p monitor.

Came here for a good review, got some cracked gameplay(and review, of course)
Great video, how did you check the color accuracy?
the aim with the wingman at 3:44...uff s3xy good vid btw.
It's nice to see monitors improving is a somewhat reasonable price bracket for these features but it's gonna be hard to get a GPU to get the most out of it for quite some time.
sucks to suck
This monitor costs more than my RTX 3070. If you are willing to pay that much for this kind of monitor, you can get yourself an RTX or an RX easily.
Of course it's easy if you're paying ~80% higher than msrp for your part. Most reasonable people aren't willing to do that.
It's good for like 3-4 God damn games, what on earth do you think can hit 240fps at 1440p?
@@zZiL341yRj736 there’s alot of games that can do 1440 at 240fps 😂. ik with my msi gaming x trio 3080 i can💯✊🏾. and i have the Acer Predator 1440p @270hz(OC)

Samsung Odyssey 32" arrived yesterday. I've still to unbox it - looking forward to it.

Just curious, but, if given a choice between the Aorus FI27Q-X & Alienware AW2721D, which would you prefer (assuming you've actually tested both monitors). While my current 34" 3440x1440 120Hz monitor is great, I have been considering replacing it with a large 240Hz monitor. However, gaming would not be it's only use, as I also do photo & video editing, thus color accuracy is also quite important.
Theres also the osd Programm ,where u can adjust your settings with a mouse instead of the knob
can you test ps5 or xbox series x. If you can run 4k60 output...and how it looks
Great review, personally I think I prefer LG 27GN950. You can play Cyberpunk in 4K, and drop the resolution in FPS games where quality doesn't matter so much. Good monitor nonetheless.
Hi, can you make video side by side comparing this monitor (Fl27Q-X) with lg 27GN950-B idk which one should i get -.-
Best tech review channel!
Are the response times measured at 240hz? I find them more interesting at more reasonable framerates like 80, 100, 120, 140. Some monitors have a bad variable overdrive that causes a lot of ghosting at lower response times I've had the Aorus AD27QD (ips 144hz), but it was already notoriously slow and i bought it anyway. I've had to return it because it was just too slow to be acceptable. Thats a shame, because the monitor otherwise was very nice. Nice screen/top layer, OSD, frontal looks are good (backside is horrendeously gamery yeah).
Very good job with the video. If it wasn't for the tests done by linus with the pros comparing 144hz vs 240hz, I would consider 1440p 240hz but given how irrelevant it seems to be, I'll stick with 1440p 144hz 27"
This is the dream monitor. It will be a few years before it's somewhat accessible price-wise
What would you choose for warzone something like this at 1440 pushing the highest FPS you could or the LG905 4K pushing as close to 160 as you could? Of course setting will be lowered to achieve both. I’ve tried them all and currently using the LG905, I can’t make up my mind being new to pc gaming. I’ve heard you make a few different comments about the lg being good for bigger maps like warzone but also if your only gaming the 240hz 1440 might be better? Thanks for any response I need some help!!
Important question though, I switched back and forth between 1440p 27 inch and 240hz 1080p 24 inch. But what I noticed on 24 inch is that it is easier to be alert on the whole screen because theres less screen estate in your peripheral vision. How are you experiencing this nowadays and sitting so close? Might upgrade my 27gl850 for this one, or perhaps i'm getting a 240hz second monitor again for comp shooters. I'm not sure
Let's go 500k this year
These videos are just nice to watch I don’t even care about the topic 😄😄😄
Can you make a video regarding a 24/25 inch, 1440p, 144/240hz monitor or the lack there of? @Optimum Tech
using sharpen (freestyle or nv panel) fix the 1080p - > 1440p fix the blurriness of stretching, it just needs a bit of tinkering (games with internal render scale 75/80 + sharpen look best)
Love the A-roll with the game playing while you are talking.

Mr KZheadr sir, will you be reviewing the aw3821dw? :)
Modern gfx cards have data streaming compression which allows higher resolutions than this at high refresh rates. The Samsung G9 for example will allow 5120x1440 (7 million pixels) at 240hz with RGB chroma subsampling at 10 bit colour.
This is a really nice monitor but I'm still waiting for an OLED 27-32", 120-165Hz, GSYNC/FREESYNC HDR, 4K monitor to hit the market. I'm using an Acer Predator X27 atm since it was first released.
I just got this monitor in the mail a couple days ago, im unsure if its a defect in some way but it feels as there is to much backlight bleed through on dark images or playing shadow games. ive tried adjusting all settings in the menu but cant seem to get it to stop, any ideas? also could you post all the settings you have set for the monitor
How much more frames on a 3080/5900x build can you get in Warzone at 1080p vs 1440p? It seems in all the benchmarks I look at, 1440p on high end hardware can only ever variably hover between 180-210, with 210-215 being rare high points compared to the more common and consistent 180-190. 1080p benchmarks on the other hand seem to indicate that a constant 230-240 is very easily done. Please help, I want to know if I should return my 1080p/240hz Asus VG25QM within its return window for a 1440p/240hz display. For Warzone specifically, 180-190 frames doesnt really qualify as a true 240hz experience IMO.
I watched this on 1440p 240hz hdr (Samsung g7) Have owned it for over 7month
Wondering which one is better

Hardware Unboxed just did the Alienware.
If changing brightness via the monitor is a hassle to you I highly encourage you to check if your monitor supports DDC. Via direct display control you can change almost all options your monitor has in software. Gonna be time to upgrade the p279q soon by the looks of it. Not sure if I want to go with a native g-sync vs a freesync / gsync compatible monitor. I guess the later allows one to work with an AMD card in the future if ever desired.
Problem being any Freesync monitor won't have variable overdrive. Not huge but is worth considering.
