Great review as always! I'm still rocking my Acer Predator X27 4k 144hz 1000 nits GSYNC HDR Ultimate monitor. I'm not primarily an FPS gamer... Mostly RPGs so this is fine with me. To get 10bit I have to lower to 98Hz but that still on 4k res. I'm just waiting for the next upgrade for my 2080ti and I don't want to go the SLI route--been there done that. If 3080Ti is not at least twice as fast as my 2080ti then I'll probably going to keep waiting. 😁

I have the 27GL850-B. Im not someone who has equipment to test response time or anything but it looks good and I love it. It also has no backlight bleed or ips glow that I can see.

I have the LG 27Gl850-B and its a amazing Monitor. Would recomment, but holy smoke idk why some tech in Switzerland is so cheap compared to the US. I paid 530 Chf- 550USD in late 2019. Perhaps of Covid- 19? But anyway keep up the great work! Ceers

Faiz 0 no, it’s genuinely one of the best monitors I’ve ever seen or used. The blacks are practically perfect and there’s virtually no ips glow. If you’re going to buy a new monitor then I endorse this one
i have that LG 27GL850-B 27 Inch Ultragear and it is a beast.. on paper people like to complain about the contrast ratio but man you don't notice it all all when gaming...
Thing is thats EVERY ips panel and I dont get it either. VA gets you better contrast but the tradeoffs arent worth it. IPS is where its at.
Nice! I got the Aorus stuff for my PC build, seemed like good alternative to ROG from Asus
I'm literally using this monitor as I type this comment out. It's a great middle-ground for both gaming and overall viewing experience (as it's IPS but still retains a high refresh rate). When gaming, or probably when doing anything, set the Overdrive setting to Speed - your eyes will thank you. However, there's a few gimmicky "gamer" features such as the weak RGB back-lighting and edgy monitor stand. It was a worthwhile upgrade from my shitty 60hz 24" monitor, but some alternative options I can recommend would be the LG 27GL850-B and the ASUS TUF Gaming VG27AQ.
I'd love to see a review of the ASUS ROG Strix XG279Q, I'm between the XG and the Fi27q-P. Haven't seen any reviews on the XG. Subbed!
Both the F127q and the F127q-p version both game at 8-bit dithering. I had the p version and now have the non p version and in game they only go to 8-bit dithering.. I tested it for weeks and couldn't figure out why. So you can only take advantage of of the 10bit at 165hz with the p model with web browsing and desktop task... So the p model is a waste of money and i returned it to amazon. Only difference is the black equalizer 2.0 on the p model. It had better blacks over the non p version. But that's it... Love my non p version though. Even bought one for my wife. Got them when they were $429.99 each on amazon before all this covid stuff. Great video btw. Best one I've seen so far talking about the F127Q
I am just curious if the P version would bring any advantage in case of photoediting because of the the 10-bit colours? Ofc, I am not a photo professional, just an enthusiast. I also considered the LG 850 but this one seems to have better colours and contrast for both rpg gaming and photoediting.
Vitek Hradec they both do 10 but colors just the p model will do it at 165hz for desktop work and not gaming and the non p model will only do 10bit at 120hz for desktop work. They both game at 8bit dithering

Where are the settings you said you will mention in te description?
I also had a XB270HU, accidentally broke it and got a X34A. Then I decided to order replacement panel from Aliexpress to fix XB270HU and it has become my go to monitor for playing FPS games. I also prefer ULMB or Motion Blur Reduction than Gsync for FPS...
The Dell S3220 DGF was a surprise winner for me at just over $400, gorgeous panel and all the productivity with that huge screen vertically. It’s a VA Panel though, so maybe not the best pick for hardcore FPS.

I own the LG 27GL850 ips monitor and it's amazing! I love the colors and everything is very smooth.

I also own the Lg 27GL850 and love it, but im actually really happy that theirs more 27" ips 1440P 144hz+ panels coming at around the same price range. Hardware unboxed tested the lg monitor and it had a 3ms response at gtg at the fast setting. I am very happy with that result since it you can also use the montior for content creation😁. The gigabyte also looks awesome and If it came out a little bit sooner I would had trouble choosing which to buy.
Have had lg 27gl850 for 5 months now... absolute BEAST of a monitor...and the low response time makes it perfect middle ground for me for FPS shooters, and mmo's or single player games. Never giving this bad boy up UNTIL a 240hz ips 1000 nitt, 1440p drops with low response times... until then, lg is my baby

Hey hey don’t knock the cross hair mode try hitting the mark in Kingdom Come Deliverance without a crosshair 🏹 🤞🏻 Maybe they will make an ultrawide version one day, once you’ve had it nothing else quite compares to that surrounded feeling I get from my MAG341CQ and at $375 was quite a compelling choice. Stand sucked though but “good thing MSI allows you to PURCHASE 😑 a hunk of metal with their logo for Vesa mounting $25) I do really like these gigabyte monitors they’ve been slowing expanding their product line and it seems each one is a solid performer.

I have an XB270hu as well. I didn't really hear an explanation as to the differences over the Acer. If they are both in the same class (1440p & 144/165Hz), it doesn't appear to be a significant enough of upgrade to be worth it. It seems that it is better to save the money and wait for DisplayPort 2.0 monitors; also, obviously only upgrade if there are upgrade aspects (i.e. higher resolution, FALD HDR1000 , etc). Going from 1440p/144Hz to a 1440p/165Hz seems silly to me.
I can see very tiny bright spots in the upper left and right corners. They are on the screen, but not on the display surface, so no dead pixels. Are visible when monitor is off and on. Is it normal?
