  • To weld this big metal piece you have to preheat it at least to 500 to 800 Celsius degrees.With this cold weld method the joint should be unstable and three different metals comes out. The big piece the smaller and the melted electrode.Sometimes is better to don’t do anything than do it wrong…the risk of accident is very big…

  • There's just no excuse for repairing this, that is putting everyone's life at risk repairing a structural failure like that, I understand sometimes you have to fix and make do but not with things like this!

    • The part failed half a kilometer down the road! lucky it broke down at the next repair shop. Its uncertain if any one was injured this time around

  • It was all going so well until the bubble gum welding machine came out , No penetration , its made from cast steel , its broken ,put it in the bin , it wont last long , especially with the precision angle grinding 😂😂😂

  • It truly pisses me off watching these videos. EVERYTHING is done wrong. People who are saying that this is an amazing work, have absolutely no idea what the hell they are talking about. It is a good entertainment video. This is not a repair. This will not work and will fail in no time. The only thing that those mechanics know is how to use a stick welder. That is all. They just weld everything without any preparations. And this specific part cannot be repaired. It HAS TO BE REPLACED!

    • Well, if the parts had been beveled more and reinforcement had been welded on the back, it could have lasted longer. And don't forget that you can hardly buy anything like that there. So you have to improvise.

    • I disagree. These repairs are very good and valuable, because in these underdeveloped countries there are NO old spare parts, because the factories discontinue them and, furthermore, the materials they use are sometimes better than those of the manufacturers. Your work is very good, it helps many people who work with heavy load transportation. God continue to bless you.

  • При сварке нужно снимать фаски с двух сторон до середины. Что бы был сплошной провар.🤔 А остатки смазки отрицательно сказываются на качество сварочного шва. Будет много пор‼️

  • that spindle back is too thin. I machined spindles for UK Seddon-Atkinson trucks back in 1976 that were much more solid.

  • Guys, imagine they are halfway up the Kyber Pass in a tiny village. That little shop does that stuff ever day. Ok. The prep was fine, got fresh metal to weld to. Would have been nice to take the bearings out and preheat the parts. The fussy 7018 was the right rod on the clean steel. Would have been nice also to make more of a V to ensure full penetration. Welding was fine, the slag fell off. They only ground off weld where they needed a flat surface. Did not cool it rapidly so not brittle. It will last for a year or two, just don’t speed around anymore. Zero salt on those roads to wreck things. Pity about the truck weigh scale bit missing completely. Away we go!

  • Man kann ja vieles machen in der Not, aber hier hört der Spaß wirklich auf. Das ist ein geschmiedetes Teil, wenn das schon bricht, dann wird das geschweißt sicher nicht halten. Keinen Meter würde ich so fahren.

  • Absolute nonsense. These parts must not be repaired by welding, they must be replaced with new ones. It's driving a vehicle. You can weld anything, but you can end up in a graveyard. They make idiots out of people.

  • It's a cosmetic fix , it is nowhere near as strong as original steel . It will fail under stress, the molecular composition of the steel is laced with stress fractures .
