Great video. Facecam looks the best, maybe you could make a extension to this video and use room light bulb settings 60-100watt (low light) without lighting set up. The avg person doesnt have lighting set up. If you do please add the AVerMedia PW513.

I wish you had included links. I'm having trouble finding the Elgato Facecam on Amazon. They have a ton of cheaper models but that's not what I want.
I have the previous generation Razer Kiyo webcam. It's ok, but honestly not crazy about its color rendition, aggressive autofocus hunting and that dated Advanced Settings you mentioned with the software. I bought it for the built-in ring light, but even that disappointed. I'm ready for Elgato or Logi.

I have the streamcam and am extremely disappointed. It does not handle color or light very well at all. The adjustments in the logitech software are nice but the inability to save the settings to the camera killed it because if you try to adjust lighting for you face, you either get really weird glow or it's too dark to see details. Also if you use if as a virtual camera in OBS, the camera is laggy and always desynced. For this reason I'm now buying the elgato face cam. I'd recommend you save yourself the headache and do the same
Was Ashley able to test with the latest firmware on the Kiyo Pro? Synapse now shows a passive/responsive option to make the focus less aggressive. Essentially it has been addressed. Also, it is $100 on sale right now, so it's the best option possibly now of the three cameras, especially for low-light.

One thing to note is that the synapse software is bad in general. Froze my pc every time it was opened and after realizing it was an issue I had to uninstall. I got it since it was on sale too but ended up returning it.

Prime lenses can focus, you just can't zoom optically. (Digital zoom is effectively just crop)

you could have tried to get a better manual focus on the Razer. That wasn't a good comparison.
Fun review! I think the Elgato Facecam is the best webcam here, Logitech's is alright, and Razor's should be avoided, it's not very good imo. Look at the motion blur when she moves her hand, pause at 20:35, the Facecam's sensor is clearly more effective and crisper overall. I personally own the Facecam and think its exceptional, especially compared to the older Logitech c922 Pro.
21:02, just look at the difference. Clearly Facecam wins in clarity, it is a much better webcam.

The Razer is in mf mode and clearly out of focus. That's a testing fault, just saying.
I have all of these cameras. The razer is the best. She isn't calibrating it correctly... The low light from the razer is also amazing.

Hey, hoping u can answer this. I work in a company with high security and as a result, wer not given access to download any softwares etc. Would these webcams work like a simple plug and play or do we also need to download a software to run it. Thanks
Software is needed to adjust the settings for all of them. You can use any of them without software on the auto settings. The facecam allows you to tweak the setting using the program on a different computer and save those setting to the hardware so when you plug it in a different computer you will use the saved settings instead of the auto default ones
The Elgato just seems to have a higher internal ISO. Not really a ding against the camera considering the jump in sharpness.

I think the reason these cameras are a bit washed out is they are expecting most people NOT to have good lighting. But, that’s only my opinion.
For people only watching the comparison part of the video. It's not reflecting the Razers ability to record detail, it's out of focus as you can see between 14:26, 19:50 (both razer and second timestamp is very blurry) and the auto-focus issues has mostly been resolved by firmware updates.
I want to buy this camera, the autofocus doesn't seem to work well
@@gonzalohillary7224 I have it, I like it. Id say it sometimes goes out of focus but most of the time the focus adjusts back again within a couple of seconds
the facecam is so good and sharp.. daaaaamn. is a level up against the others.
Review dell 4k ultrasharp webcam next, although not for streamers

Elgato hand down (once optimal settings are dialed in). It's the only one where you can literally see her eyelashes with how crisp it is.
Honestly, they Kiyo Pro looked better before you changed the settings. Looks like you left it too warm during the side by side. I think you should have kept the white balance on during the comparison.

Just like how you don't usually use monitor speakers, you probably won't use a webcam mic either.
Huh. from the Side by side comparisons it seems the Streamcam actually has the highest frame rate? I thought they were all @ 60? On my 144hz display it almost seems as if the G Streamcam has almost double the frame rate.
Elgato's Facecam has an aperture of F2.4, Razer's garbage has F2.8, and Logitech Streamcam has F2.0. So idk if you're a photographer or videographer, but higher the number, smaller is the aperture that lens can do, smaller the aperture, less light goes in. That means the camera will compensate either on the shutter speed or the ISO. I can't tell you how each of these cameras work exactly, but I would guess it'll compensate on shutter speed, slow it down so makes time for more light to go in the camera. The consequence of slowing down the shutter speed is 2 things, if you shake your hand fast you'll notice a motion blur, and if the shutter speed is lower than 1/60 the camera will decrease the fps, even though if you look at the properties is gonna show 60fps. So that's why you'll notice the other ones can't keep the same consistency as Streamcam. If I may give you an advice, when you're interested in buying a new camera, prioritize the aperture (of course dslr and mirrorless is completely different, then it's good to know how powerful and clean is their ISO). Oh and never buy Razer they're just bs, I mean gorilla glass??? Wth are you gonna do with a webcam to need a protection against scratches?!? I'm a hobbyist photographer for 6 years, and thank you for coming to my TED Talks, I broke my left hand and now I have have lots of time and boredom.
I might be misunderstanding something. The Razer is f2.8 and the Logitech is f2.0 but you said the Razer has the smaller aperature..
The Logi Cam is great but the StreamCam program overrides QuickTime on the Mac and causes the Mac to freeze and shutdown. It’s fine on it’s own though.
Is there a way to workaround that ? Trying to get a cam soon but i use an imac

Prime lenses can have focus. A prime lens is just a lens that doesn't have zoom. So most webcams use prime lenses.
Picture of Elgato facecam is the best. It is sharp and realistic
80 bucks: c920, c922 pros 100 bucks: Streamcam Logi 200 bucks: Facecam Elgato currently the best option is the Streamcam if you tweak some settings
Watching this video on a 4K screen makes the Logitech and Razor cams seem more blurry than Elgato. Is it just me?

The Elgato Facecam looks the best, but seeing it’s currently £129 and Logitech Streamcam is £75 (Black Friday deal), Logitech seems like a much better option for someone who is looking to start streaming for the first time and doesn’t have the biggest budget for it

Downgraded from a EOS R to Elgato Facecam. I’m fine with my decision.
Do you notice picture noise on the facecam? In every comparison the picture looks grainy similar to when you increase sharpness

The Logitech cable is so short, and USB C so you can’t use an extension successfully. Disaster, wish I never bought it.
why would usb-c not be able to be extended?
@@Decenium you could. It is just the cable is not removable so you have to get your own extension with USB c female adapter or end.
