Yeah, so I spent over 3 hours today just trying to get 3 Logitech webcams to work together in OBS for this video. If that doesn't deserve a like I don't know what does...😅
Any recommendation for an inexpensive lens for the a5100 that's better than the one it came with?
Yes you can stream to Instagram from desktop.... I’ve tested it and it works. yellowduck.tv
i know this is off- topic but how do i see my total viewers? like that have visited my stream? i haven't started streaming yet but 2 people have been on my channel and i'm just curious who it is.
Goofy like on twitch or KZhead if so you can’t see who is watching only how many people
@@imcrummy6114 oh well thx for the help
First video I've watched of yours, well done! Very thorough, slickly and cleanly presented. I also love for comparison you throw in a $500+ camera, just to show all the contestants who's boss 😂
Thank you for this! The effort you went through for editing and comparing the FOUR cameras was super helpful and appreciated!
Awesome video as always! One of my older C920s have been stuttering a lot so I had to swap my secondary one to become my main. I noticed the StreamCam was introduced to the market and was waiting for a comparison video and I knew this channel would be a reliable source. Thank you!
Thanks man, this video convinced me to go straight to the a5100. Very informative and well produced. Thanks again!
Thanks for this in-depth review! It was quite useful to decide!
This is soooo oddly satisfying too watch the 4 Webcame frames with different colours etc but with the same picture.
Great Video with great comparisons and your descriptions are the ones I asked myself most! Thank you Buddy😘✌️
Amazingly good review, and so much work put into it! Congratulations and thank you so much for this video!
really needed this, much love man.
Very cool video, exactly what I was looking for with great information and testings, bonus was the comparison to the a5100 as well. Awesome thanks again!
I love how you compared and presented the comparison. Subscribed and dropped a like. Very professional and kudos to you for including timestamps. :)
Great video, I was curious about the streamcam vs the brio.
Dude, your videos are awesome, top quality! Thanks for making this comparison, i'm considering the StreamCam for my streams but i'm just starting out tho 😊
Excellent comparison! I will watch for more of your reviews.
This is an excellent comparison. Thanks for putting it together.
I found your video with one of your gaming set ups and I subscribed since then! You rock, I’m a gamer and record gameplay. Been really thinking about streaming with a webcam, so this helps a lot! Thank you!!
This is hands down the best review of the StreamCam! Thank you! I just bought it and wasn’t sure about keeping it.
This was a very helpful review approach - showing all four cameras simultaneously, and highlighting differences.
This was an awesome super engaging, fun, interesting & insightful video as per usual, Pete! Thank you for going into an extensive level of detail during your testing for this comparison. 😁 👌 Cheers mate! 🍻
You're very welcome dude!
great job! this is the best review I have seen!
Im going to try and post my first KZhead video this Sunday. You really helped thanks. I ended up going with the c920 really the other webcams for the price aren't worth it especially since the webcam on screen is small and probably going to be outputted in 720p for new streamers
Fantastic review. 10/10, thank you for all the work you put in here.
Pleasingly detailed, and with honest opinions that are clearly your own. This is much better than I was expecting - thanks!
Exceptional comparison, Good Sir! Great stuff! ^_^ X
Great review and comparison. Thank you!
This. This is how you make a guide. 10/10, thank you for putting so much time into such a great guide!
Love the videos I always make sure to like. Keep up the great content
It seems to be built for irl streams and streams on the go. It could also be the reason it has image stabilisation
This was a super helpful video: to the point; visual comparisons; well produced. I'm researching webcams for a nascent niche academic KZhead channel with a friend, and the different Logitech models had been bugging me for a while. I think the Streamcam so far seems the best option...
The other use for the streamcam's rotation feature is when you have to clip the camera to the side of a monitor. Then you can reorientate the camera can shoot in landscape while clipped to the side of a monitor.
Superb video! Good to see your channel is growing consistently, I’ve been watching your content for a while because you cut through the BS
Great video. Really informative and well presented. Thank you.
I'm glad you compared them in dark lighting conditions. I hate playing with the lights on. I'm going with the brio all the way. Thanks for the video.
Very clear details of comparison....just by watching each screen. Thank you for this review.
Vr gaming. That's why. We need the easy portrait mode. A 9:16 webcam and 1:1 vr capture.
Brilliant video, thanks for your complete honesty. A real good review.
Thank you, really nice informative review with no fluff. Could you/have you done a review of the Razer Kiyo cam?
Great in depth review!
Great video, thanks! After two years still very useful 👍
Incredibly helpful thank you 😊
You're exceptionally good at what you do. I learn so much. Thank you!
Image stabilization actually sounds like it would be good for my setup when playing racing games. I have my monitors on a mount that clamps to my desk and due to the size/layout of my space I have to mount my wheel and shifter to my desk as well. So there can be a bit of movement for the monitors, which would also be moving any webcam attached to them. Thanks for this comparison video! I was literally just about to run to Best Buy to get a cam for streaming when I saw this!!!
@J B I did not. I looked at the features and of course the prices then talked myself down to a C922. Well, my wife talked me down to the C922 😆
Brilliant review! The StreamCam looks awesome!
Thanks for the comparison video ... I wanted to get the Brio, because it has "Windows Hello" and an USB C Plug so I can use different cable lengths. But now I am even more unsure what to get. :D
Thank you so much for this great comparison video ❤ what mirrorless camera setup are you using?
Traveling light and recording content from a hotel I think streamcam would be an excellent option
the problem is the cable isn't detachable for travelling.
Thanks very much for your videos, full of details, love your job 😉
well done!Thank you so much for your great presentation.
The reverted settings bug also exists in the Logitech C922 - for example set zoom, pan and tilt in OBS/OBS.Live and have to do it all again after reboot. Have read a few comments here and saw a mention of Logitech G Suite which I will be taking a look at regardless of having to reconfigure from scratch because this issue has had me pulling hair for ages - thanks for that comment and appreciate the great review done here 👍
Regarding the problem mentioned at 6:30 As I understand it (I've also personally experienced this), the issue is in the software being used. If you use the old "Logitech Gaming Software," or the default software, to control the cameras, it will cause the settings to be "forgotten" or "reset" upon reboot. The fix for this is to download and setup the "Logitech G Hub," which is a newer (using the term loosely) software that allows the control of multiple cameras/devices individually, and at the same time. The downside to using this software is it will default all settings for cameras (and other Logitech devices) that you allow it to start controlling, requiring time spent to set everything back up the way you had it, before.
I was looking for better software thank you!
Your comparison is great. thanks :)
Thanks for the review! Can you share as well where you got your key light?
Now thats how you compare webcams. Very well done.
Thanks for the side by side comparison. Streamcam vs the DSLR is noticable, but not enough to pay more than double. It's a nice upgrade to shoot for when I make it big, though.
What about being able to mount the camera vertically instead of horizontally and being able to rotate the camera to keep the image normal. Portrait mode could be useful for this.
Great video! You helped me make my decision, thank you!
Great review. How did you get the "looking straight into the camera" look in the later part of your review? What camera was used for that part? How was it mounted for you to stare right into it?
Really useful, nice one!
Thanks for this!
Great Video, what camera are you using to record the reviewe video?
Portrait mode might be used, as you mentioned on TikTok and Instgram, but also on Facebook. Stabilization might be important for IRL streamers and that's why the USB-C cable - to connect to your phone? Maybe?
cool review! thx soooooo much!!
Great video thank you mate. Just saved me a fortune xxx
Great review, thank you
great comment about the importance of sound from an external mic vs using cams onboard mic
Biggest issue found with the 920 is the focus. Auto focus is turned off and it still goes out of focus from time to time while live streaming. Looking forward to your final review of the new elgato cam
dude your setup has improved over the years ;)
Cheers for the Review Pete. I have the C920 & C922. Have you ever considered S DSLR?
Good video, thoughtful insight, Thanks
FINALLY a reviewer that also points out - PROPERLY - the downsides of a product. I would say the image quality between the 920 and Streamcam were significant though. So, StreamCam will be my first streaming camera. Yay :) And thanks!
Fantastic review. Making the jump to a new Webcam / Streamcam and at todays price can get the Logitech C922 just barely north of $100 US and I'd imagine the USB C and better throughput. That Save settings is a must also for those you set these up for don't want to have to reset every restart. -thx
great vid mate appreciate it
Great video! Im sticking to my brio, love the wide view, high resolution. The colors are off out of the box ut nothing i couldnt fix with some OBS tweaking when first setting it up :)
hey how did you tweak the settings in OBS? I need to do that.
@@ModernLifeDating you rightclick the camsource in obs, choose "filters". And then add the filter called "color correction" i believe :) here is an article with steps and pictures: streamshark.io/obs-guide/color-correction
Very thorough. Very analytic and I didn't for a second doubt his information could be wrong. No wonder you have 357k subscribers.
I agree with all of your points 100%, except the portrait mode. I actually see quite a few people, myself including, cropping the webcam to portrait mode these days. I would definitely say it's a growing trend. Is it massively used? Not yet, but it certainly has a potential and I personally would use it and I know a few other streamers that would as well.
I've had the streamcam for a few months and I love it but I'm also mad that WHY WHY and WHY logi didn't make the cable detachable? It's a great little webcam but the cable is annoying. Easy to use, decent image quality.
Excellent video, and EXACTLY what I was looking for. The Brio and the StreamCam are about the same price atm. I do wonder how the Elgato FaceCam compares.
Really nice video! My favorite thing about the StreamCam is the usb-c 😅 I just miss 4K.
Cheers for the video. Good stuff.
I am currently using c920 considering to buy streamcam.. finally found something that actually compares them! Subbed!
The annoying thing about the C920 settings bug is that it carried over into the C922 as well. Every time I restart OBS Studio, or the PC, I have to reset the camera properties for zoom, pan, tilt, lighting, etc. However, it would have been interesting to see you run the comparison using the C922 instead of the C920 - the C922 is closer to the price band of the Brio and Streamcam.
What're your A5100 settings? I got the A6400 but the colors on OBS is washed Out
The portrait mode could be handy for green screen streamers? We don't want the background, so if you have just You visible with no room background then I think the portrait mode could be handy, I think I'd use it :)
Great video! Helped me a lot to realize I don’t need the streamcam, the c920 will do the job! Thanks much ✌️
Thanks for the awesome video, I had some questions if someone could help me out. Would using an adaptor and USB3.0 lower camera quality? I recently got the streamcam and I've noticed its barely any better than my C920. I also noticed when I turn on 60 FPS the picture itself gets much darker and looks awful. Could this be because i'm using an adaptor and usb 3.0 and not 3.1? I'm eventually going to upgrade my computer but was very curious on if that's affecting anything with the webcam? I've tried messing with settings a lot but nothing seems to fix the darkness of 60 FPS either. Any help/advice would be much appreciated. Oh Also would a cam link + go pro be better than a streamcam/c920 in terms of quality?
Muito bom Review. É raro encontrar alguém que fale toda a verdade sobre os produtos. Obrigado pelo tempo que dedicou a este vídeo. Mais um inscrito!
Nice work. But which camera are you using to record this video?
Great channel. I just bought it. I thought to many was going way to hard on it. Its abit confusing to use with OBS and Logitect capture at same time for me though. But its a real good cam, especially with the auto framing.
Silly question here, but you can turn off the mic function on any of these and use a Shure mic with audio interface for the audio portion, right? Well done video!
Great comparison
Great video. Congrats. Would it be a good idea to use an iPhone 11 Pro Max or iPhone 12, Pro Max, as the external camera instead?
Very good comparison! A pity it doesn't cover the C930. I upgraded from the C920 to C930 and was pretty happy with the jump in quality. Less noise, more detail, more accurate colour, and a wider field of view. Downside to the C930 though is the auto exposure that tries too hard. It overexposes when there's not much light. You end up being able to see more in a dark room but things like a streamer's face get blown out. I'd be keen to see a full comparison, but at a guess the C930 sits somewhere in the middle of the 920 and the StreamCam.
The vertical mode seems to be aimed at Facebook live streaming.
Or IG live as well.. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
@@boogeywoogeymanboogeywooge1273 u cant use external cameras on ig live, only your phone's
great video, thanks! :)
awesome video! do you also recommend the 16mm sigma for streaming games? or it's too wide?
Totally up to you, I like the look of it but you can definitely go for something longer if you want to!
Best review in the web!
I like the image stabilization feature. I stream live using video arcade machines and my camera is attached to the machine. I have found the machines move some while playing. ??Question for you is which camera would work best for capturing an arcade video game machine monitor/ TV. I get the black rolling bars. I understand it's due to FPS issues but I just can't get rid of the black rolling bar on some of my video games when recording.
good review bro, thanks
Wow that was very informative. I am a Phys Ed teacher at an elementary school and being that my school is closed for the rest of the school year (in New York City) I am currently using my old laptops webcam to stream live workouts on youtube. It seems that I am leaning towards the C920. I had a question..is it worth it for me to get a microphone? My setting is in a room, I am exercising, speaking, and playing music out of a speaker at the same time. In your opinon, wha twould be the best way to set this up?? I am trying to give the best video quality for the kids at my school and your opinion would really be appreciated! I need better quality video, the kids to be able to hear me when im approximately 5 feet away from my laptop and for them to hear the music I am playing. All the best, Eric
