  • I’m really impressed with the simulated welds once painted up they should look really authentic. Another great build Tony thanks once again for sharing your build experiences with us.

    • Thanks Keith, much appreciated. I really wanted to develop my skills on this build and bring it up a few notches from the Tiger...This is only the second time using the weld technique on this tank and really pleased how it looks...I am really pleased that you are following this build.

  • Make sure you have a fire extinguisher ready when testing/running those motion packs. Mine and another builders new packs have burst into flames. Pretty scary

    • Thanks Chris, yes, I have seen this on the Forum...I have decided to wait until Armortek are back open and how they respond to the builders who have found this problem, before I push 24v through anything...It is pretty scary and downright dangerous....

  • Will you - next year - join the impressive Armortek parade with two vehicles at Militracks 2024? (Really impressive to see those WWII 1/6 scale models roll) @Armortek: You produced the 'Elephant', maybe the 'Nashorn' next?; At Militracks, those models can ride next to their 1/1 size originals!

  • Love all the details you've added here, lights look good, more great welding - would love to hear more about the particular tank you are building, or is that something you might do when adding the markings etc?

    • Thanks Martin, I am aiming to build this to look like - "Eagle 7" the infamous Pershing from the 3rd Armored Division that beat the Panther next to the cathedral in Cologne..tonnes of footage on KZhead about this battle. I hope I do it justice. I will cover this when doing the final touches.

  • Liking the weld bead Details Tony, I have to say the grill details on the rear deck are exquisite when Assembled. Looking good bud, look forward to the next installment

    • Hi Gary, thanks mate...The grill panels do look good, but they are a fiddly, awkward part of the build...My next VID shows the first 4....Lost more hair on that part :-)

  • Hi Tony, ive just come across your channel and immediately subscribed. I absolutely love r/c tanks and can only dream of owning an Armortek version. I have been model building since I was a kid 50 plus years now. I built my Tamiya 1/16 King Tiger with Porsche turret approx 20 years ago and now watching your channel I am keen to dust it off and see if it still works lol. It's to old to even have the Tamiya DMD sound pack etc but a couple of years after building it i did manage to get the turret rotation gearing and motor so it's not to bad. Anyway I need to go to your first video and work my through to get up to date. Awesome video mate 👍👍

    • Hi and welcome...I am glad you found my channel...and inspired you to get your King Tiger back out and operational. I am relatively new to this hobby and filmed the build on the Tiger and now currently the M26 to show that with patience and basic skills these kits can be built by novices like me. I hope you enjoy watching and would appreciate any feedback. I love working with these kits, although sometimes a tad frustrating, it all forms part of the learning journey.Thanks for watching and subscribing.

  • Starting to look really good now, and thanks for sharing all the details. Tom Miller on the Armortek forum (May 16) found the same missing hole problem with his kit. I'm sucking up as much information as I can before my kit arrives. 👍

    • Hi Keith, I occasionally go on to the Forum and know Tom...he is a very advanced builder and his tips are very helpful. I hope the Forum and my Videos help you when you start the build...There are a few issues with this kit, so keep an eye on both.Thanks for watching and supporting, it is very much appreciated.

  • Can those hoops really carry the weight of the model when lifted using them? (would be an awesome sight to see a model crane lift one of those tanks on a railway carriage for 'transport' ) or it might come in handy to load in the tank into the boot of the car, using an engine hoist.

    @leonkrouwel1878@leonkrouwel187810 ай бұрын
    • Now that would be awesome...Definitely not strong enough to lift, but what a thought.

  • It is taking shape. Love the weld detail. Is it OK to put on top of paint? Will it key? Cheers Tony for a tankfastic Saturday.

    • Not yet Steve...Armortek are not long back from their break and still catching up I suppose...I hope to have it ahead of completing the turret and main gun.

  • Surprised you put the lift hooks and lights on at this point. I’d inevitably knock them off during the rest of the assembly.

    • There is not much more that would effect this area of the tank now and that Milliput when set is strong stuff. Thanks for watching and commenting.

  • What did you use to show the simulated welding? Why didn't you put the wiring under the battery plate since you said something about the battery sliding around! Then battery might break the wiring laying on the battery box! Just wondering!

    @billamos3295@billamos32959 ай бұрын
    • Hi..I use Milliput super fine white, 2 part....it is very easy to work with and has a long curing time, so easy to work and manipulate before it hardens. With regards the wiring, I see your point, but I don't want to have any wiring that I cannot reach once built. The MG wiring will be dressed so it does not get snagged. As with the Tiger, I will install retaining angles on the battery plate to stop the batteries sliding. Hope this answers your questions. Thanks for watching and supporting my channel.

  • Hi Tony. I noticed that on the drivers side of the humped fume extractor there looks to my eye to be a casting blemish. I think ,from my reference pictures ,you may want to grind this away before you repaint the front. Just my opinion but it doesn’t look right to me. Thanks again for the video.

  • Hi Tony The Lighting Pack knew existence for the first time! It wasn't in my Armortek Tiger 1, nor was the unopened FAMO able to order it. Did he increase from the American M26, not in German tanks? My guess is that as Armortek progresses, there will be more options for future series. By the way, my Tiger 1 has an orange LED that lights up with batteries. I love working with weld marks too! There are also new discoveries, so keep an eye on Tony videos.

    • こんにちは、いつもサポートと優しい言葉をありがとうございます...このキットの照明が大好きです...タイガーには前面にライトが 1 つしかなく、見づらかったです。照明キットはアフターマーケットのアドオンですか、それとも Tiger に付属していましたか? 模擬溶接は初めてですが、思い切ってやってよかったです...本当に見栄えが良くなります...タイガーでやればよかったのですが、これもすべて学習の一環です。 Hi and thank you for your continued support and kind words...I love the lighting on this kit..the Tiger only had the single light on the front and hard to see. Is your lighting kit an after market add on or did it come with your Tiger? I am new to simulated welding but glad I took the plunge...it really does improve the look...wish I had done it on the Tiger, but it is all part of the learning exercise.

      @tonys_workshop@tonys_workshop10 ай бұрын
    • @@tonys_workshop Since the lighting is aftermarket, it is manually operated by installing an on/off switch in the hatch. 照明はアフターマーケットですのでハッチ内にオン・オフォスイッチを設置しての手動です。
