This has been one of the most time consuming and expensive rebuilds ive ever done! But in the video i finally complete the Mercedes C63 W204 i bought crash damaged over 1 year ago. The car was wrecked and we have replaced pretty much everything. But i received a letter from Mercedes AMG which told me i need to bring it back! Not what i wanted after repairing it.

What I find most impressive about all this.. Is that I'm sitting here at my mum and dad's house for Sunday tea, and the whole family is sitting watching Mat on the big screen. This is mad to me.. I've went from sitting by myself watching an episode on my phone, to sitting down with a bunch of non-car people who find you entertaining enough to watch every Sunday evening.

I work for a Mercedes dealership based in Holland and seeing you pull out that letter regarding the airbag made me chuckle a little bit. We do around 10 airbag replacements per day.
I couldn't wipe the smile off my face the whole time watching this. The c63 has been the most involved project on your channel and seeing it finally come to fruition is so satisfying. Great stuff as always Mat ❤️

How the hell do you keep smiling through all the agg you got rebuilding that car ? The tenacity and drive you have is on a different level, I never thought I could be so enthralled on watching a video of a car that bad been fighting and repaired. My old mate was always buying stuff from auction or Ebay that was minced I talked him out of a range rover sport as it was delivered about to be unloaded of a transporter, all collapsed with a nice tide mark where it had been swimming . Unfortunately it never stopped there he died with several unfinished projects that his mrs Baisicaly gave away bless her, best Chanel by far on KZhead imo in every aspect. Respect young man brings a big smile to this miserable old bastards face 🤙

All of this is just incredible. Mats intelligence, hard work. Camera quality got so much better. Video itself is so fine tuned, my man got 3 promotions in a video and its not feeling like its forced. That little edited sequence of the car. Fucking well done man! That revs after the tune made me emotional haha. Crazy

After viewing most of the other projects on here you’ve referenced the C63 a lot. Finally seen every episode and can see why! What an amazing build so many issues and the modifications added more problems. Literally blood, sweat and tears. What a reward though it’s an absolute beast of a car 😁👍
After a month, the colour choice was spot on. So many going down the solar yellow route, I'm glad you made yours unique and just as beautiful.

Great videos Matt. I've just discovered your channel a few weeks ago and I'm really enjoying it. The c63 especially as I've just bought my own, mine's pretty mint so I'm not going to mess with it much but great to see what can be done. It looks so much more aggressive with the black series body kit.

Mat I love your channel! One thing that I might have missed on this build is how you worked out lining up the rear tail pipes to go through the tips on the rear bumper. I was waiting for the bumper to melt or catch fire everytime you got on the throttle. I still don't know how you had the patience to push through this build. Awesome job bud!

Im doing the exact opposite rebuild on another 240 GT Volvo sleeper / rally / drift build.. Almost ALL pristine used/salvage HD parts from pickup trucks and wrecked whips.. Ripped every inch of wire and plumbing out of Volvo, all interior, all dash, all heat , all ac deleted. Drivetrain deleted. 10pt cage in, LS7 9000 Rpm build done(took me a year to score a knife edged lunati bottom end😍 ). 7sp manual trans and slipper.. big disc brakes and coilovers that are from a 1000lb heavier car... Almost done and it all cost under $10k and a couple weeks of work so far stacking cars /easywork.. Local insurance salvage yard lets me know when some funky destroyed built car comes in, and i harvest high perf aftermarket odds and ends. Then work a day or two operating equipment in exchange. My Volvo Still need wheels tires, a haltech or Holley Ecu and harnesses. But the build ends in sight, almost done! Hopefully spring 2024 be drifting A LOT😛 and drag racing a lil..😋
Mercedes didn't want the car back, they sent you a Recall notice to have something fixed. It's no big deal. While you are at the dealership they can do a full inspection and clear all the trouble codes.
Well done on the build mat and I can say from 12 years of ownership it will constantly put a smile on your face 👌

I have to say the C63 w204 is my dream car... you have truly made this one, a one off. Incredible transformation, especially with the black series body kit on the 4 door version. You know what, if this thing came roaring down the road I would think black series or Brabus... normal c63 is not what would come to mind. This is truly amazing to see what you have done and how far your channel has grown, big fan mate... just sad to see all the emotions and happiness the combustion engine cars bring out in all the car enthusiasts are going to be taken away by the electric and hybrid powered cars... keep up the great work Mat, you smashed this classic and made it a Mat Armstrong original 💪🏼

Awesome! But, with that power I’m kind of thinking you could have pulled it under the radar a tad by NOT fitting such a pronounced spoiler. Plus, refinishing the brake callipers in the green to match the paint job would be top drawer I reckon.

I understand updating the suspension, but why in the world do you people think that you have to slam a car down, till the suspension is not working properly. The Gap around that tire was perfect, it does not have to go lower. It looks wrong when it's that low. And you cannot have a car without proper suspension travel work properly. Especially if you're going to drive it on the streets where other humans are driving.
Right? Can can ride much better with a meatier tire and it will fix the fitment I understand in the front tho maybe lower it and get it tight

I've got the c63 w205 model and that's an animal. So yours must be immense with 520+ bhp going to the rear wheels. These and the w205's are the last generation of big horse power rear wheel drive cars. What an engine that 6.2 lump is. Great series of rebuild videos 👍

12 to 13 turns on the front shocks and 10 at the back perfect setting for road and mountain runs i go 18 in front and 16 at the back that’s the sweet spot .
