    • I'm sure its a directorial decision, believing (probably correctly) that having a bunch of other text on screen would detract from the viewer's immediate focus on the message they want us to care about. However, yea, I dunno *shrug* I mean, I know every SINGLE second of screen time is precious and needs to be spent on only the most important parts of the story, but I know I'd be on board for typically keeping the phone(s) up on the screen for like 1-2 seconds more, and having part of an old conversation show, cuz then for the people that wanted to read above (and could read decently fast) we could get just THAT much more background on the characters and what their relationship(s) are like.

  • 5:32 Yes, thank you. One of those things that always bugs me in movies is that no one in production ever bothers to come up with preloaded conversations to fill text histories. It's so easy and great opportunities to squeeze in subtle humor and no one ever does it. "Hey, person whom I've known for years and have regular conversations with. This is the only message in our history."
