There are only a handful of things that make these old cars stop usually. 1 ignition system is most common. Usually the generator brushes wear out and the battery willbno longer charge thereby killing the car, distributor points cook or condensor is fried, coil is also a huge problem after so long.

Well done.. perseverance paid off.
I would rock this car lightly restaured, such a peace of history with an engine and tires. You guys are amazing, always surprised with your videos and job. Love your chanel man !
You like the Moskovich cars I see!
I can’t believe it still runs 🥳 Great youTube channel without blablaaa but just skills and automotive love !!
Its a knock off of the continental 4. It was a good motor,
I believe this old girl is mechanically based on NOT on Opel Kadett, but, on WW2 Italian Mechanised Brigade. They can run backward faster than moving forward in the face of the advancing allied troops.
Good job!! Over here in the USA we’ve never heard of this model . Pretty cool old car👍👍👍
We only had Opel for a bit i the early 70s. I had an Opel wagon for a while. and yes, its an Opel Kadette.
Thank you Flexiny for this video. In the early 80-s my neighbor had the same Moskvich. That's why everyone called him "Stirlitz"😁
you do a well good job on that Moskvich 401 and i well like that is can Drive 😁👍 and i like how that oen door is open 🤣
I love how the car started running better as it went on. My dude can easily make this his daily car.
What a passion!
Only thing I don't like is, that someone replaced those beautiful white round meters with something, which looks like binnacle from 408.
Flexiny is the damn Gandalf of Automobiles.. Amazing as ever Dude!
And that clutch as well working! A mechanic great day 😮😊
I had -75 Elite, 1.5, i have deep respect to these things💯
nice video, but i have a question before starting an old car you should change the old oil and fuel why you didn't do it ?
Gyönyörű autó!!! Érdemes lenne felújítani!!👍
Great video flexiny, great work, lovely classic car 👌👍😀
Such a beautiful and unusual little car . Wish I could get one here. Great job! Tom in Idaho
That thing sounds rough but it has its charm.
Great car and great video my friend! Greetings from germany....❤🎉
interesting cars that were made in russia. reminds me of Toyota AAA. strange that no adjustments were made to the brake and clutch. like the video. Very good. continue with this.
Amazing what year is that car?
This Moskvich 401 reminds me of 1940's era English made cars of the day. Wouldn't this be a grand old car to rebuild and restore!
Amazing , can't stop a good old Russian car
One beautiful project car!❤
That car is worth saving.
There are only a handful of things that make these old cars stop usually. 1 ignition system is most common. Usually the generator brushes wear out and the battery willbno longer charge thereby killing the car, distributor points cook or condensor is fried, coil is also a huge problem after so long.
Sounds you had stuck valves in the very beginning. Did the previous owner convert the starter to I2V? The Moskvich has still lot of potential most of the things are there.
loved the video! thanks for this.
