  • Really great advice Courtney ! My skin care routine has worked for many years. However, I do need to drop back on the exfoliation. Most folks think that I am 10-15 years younger than my actual age. I've had women ask me what I do for my routine. However, I recently discovered and removed some driving related sun damage on the left side of my face. My dermatologist also recommended SPF 30 to me for future protection. Thanks as always for sharing :D

  • I would definitely say this is great for supplemental care but the three things most of us guys could do to clean up your skin are 1. Eat healthier, and less greasy. You don’t have to stop eating greasy/junk food just do it in moderation with healthier food. 2. Workout. Working out and building up a good sweat is great for your health in general but also good for your skin. 3. Drink water more often! These three simple things will greatly benefit anybody not just men!

  • Great info, and video Courtney. A couple of questions - What is the difference between a face WASH, and a face CLEANSE product? And you said not to exfoliate more than 3 x per week, but what if the face wash also exfoliates, but claims it is gentle enough to use every day? (Speaking of Harry's Men's Face Wash). Thank You.

    @jasonhurst8599@jasonhurst85992 жыл бұрын
  • I know this will probably sound silly, but can you do a video where you _demonstrate_ these three? My son has bad acne and I'm going to try to get him to start, but I also wouldn't want to teach him the _wrong_ way, either. And, you know, I might need to start these routines, too.

  • I was never into skincare until recently, I finally found products that I like and satisfied with. I learned that less is more so, what I use is a charcoal face wash, which cleanse your face a little better, then I use a moisturizer with sunscreen, and a simple eye cream because I don't want wrinkles under my eyes. I am grateful that my genetics are good, I had to explain my own mom why I need a skincare routine, even though I have good skin, it's the fact I want to age well as I get older as I am entering my 30s. I don't know many people who have a skincare routine and I wish I did.

    @stevec2569@stevec25693 жыл бұрын
    • Good! 👏🏼 totally depends on your preference but my recommendation maybe is to try a kit that comes with smaller size products and then when you finish the kit you can evaluate which products you liked vs. ones maybe you didn’t like as much and buy other products to replace those. If you have oily skin the products from Kiehls in my bio are awesome (oil control ones) and the Murad Clarifying line as well (I use this and it’s awesome!) and you DEFINITELY need to be wearing a sunscreen every single day!

  • I used to have a skin care routine (embarrassingly I found out about exfoliates and moisturizing through Alpha M). I used to wash morning and night and moisturize. After I lost my job, my skin care routine went completely out the window. When COVID hit I felt I had no reason to bother since I couldn't go out due to lock down. I also once thought that moisturizing was counterproductive since I'm washing my face to get rid of oil, why would I slather more oil onto my face? That was until I was told there's a difference between oil and moisture. But yeah, I haven't done any skin care since end of 2019.

  • @Courtney Ryan I just want to thank you for these practical videos, and also the practical videos I can trust. I’ve been trying to find a girlfriend for awhile and a lot of ones I could have potentially gotten, haven’t wanted anything to do with me, I think a lot of that has to do with my appearance I have a lot of acne all over my face and just things I need to fix because, I’m not the most confident of guys and I’m hoping that with your videos I’m able to fix the issues with my appearance as well as gain more confidence. I have a suggestion for a video if you haven’t done so already, that’s for some tips on if your shy and unsure what and what not to say to a woman to get a first date in the first place, as I’m sure as a extremely beautiful woman like yourself, you’ve had guys come up to you to ask you out and immediately say things that immediately turn you off and make you not want to give them a chance. More often than not, that’s what happens to me when I have a crush on a girl and I ask them out and not realize how rude or even sexually violating sometimes even, the stuff I say is. So, bottom line is, if you don’t have a video on just basics of talking to a woman in order to have more of a chance of getting her to like you and have more of a chance of her becoming your girlfriend that would be amazing. I’m obviously, not saying these tips would be 100% foolproof but, just some simple things that may give me more confidence in knowing what and what not to say when I ask a girl out.

    • Stop trying to "find" a girlfriend. It's easier when you're not looking or trying. Just go to places you enjoy where other girls hang out and enjoy yourself. When you try to find a girlfriend it becomes obvious and turns women off. Just be yourself and have fun. You'll be surprised how many women you'll attract just by being yourself. Good luck! 👊

  • A good face wash with a light chemical exfoliant, toner, and moisturizer should be plenty. Shave (also helps remove dead skin) and get a hair cut too guys.. Food has a lot to do with your skin as well, eat fruits and vegetables!! 😎

  • Acne mostly comes from inflammation in the skin due to overproduction of oils by the skin itself. Washing it too much will make the skin overproduce the oil and you get inflammations.

  • 2 questions, 1. Would this be useful for teenagers (like me)? I’m only asking because I’m really wanting to make myself look better. Yes I shower everyday, yes I brush, floss, and use mouthwash everyday, I use lotion every night, and I even use cologne and deaodrant. But my anxiety keeps telling me that it’s not good enough. That I still smell horrible and look like trash. Maybe I’m overthinking this or would I really need all of these at my age? 2. Could you maybe make a video for teenagers? I don’t think I’m the only one who is doing what I’m doing. I mean we all know that there’s downfalls to us, but I think it would be amazing if you made a video for teenagers. Only a recommendation, but would greatly appreciate it

    • It sounds to me like you’re doing everything right! Anxiety is a monster and I struggle with it too, especially with social media and constantly comparing yourself to others. Keep doing what you’re doing, you are doing GREAT! 👏🏼 and yes I will definitely make more videos for teenagers too!

  • Any differences seen in CBD skincare products versus normal ones?

    @mattkraig@mattkraig3 жыл бұрын
    • I’ve actually never tried CBD skincare products but I’ve heard they can help with inflammation if that is something you are struggling with. Other than that, I’m not sure the benefits are anything crazy!
