Now at 50 I still take care of my face and it makes me feel good when people think I'm in my mid 30s.

  • I have a video idea: how to keep a relationship going past the initial stages. I feel most men and women only know how to get through the first few stages of a relationship before they just learn to coast hoping for it to last. It’s be interesting to hear your opinion and tips on how to keep a relationship going whether it ends or not.

    • Just my opinion, but to offer a perspective here: I think most folks are actually pretty decent at meeting people and casually dating. What is much harder and is where most of the people I've met struggle is transitioning from dating into a healthy relationship. I think this is rooted in the fact that most people are hyper fixated on outcome dependency and end up self sabotaging though they have good intentions. When you put too much effort into your mental projection of the relationship, you neglect the real person in front of you and end up breaking down your own reality. Most folks do much better dating because they tend to view it with far less strings attached, and as a result, are more focused on what's in front of them versus what is in their heads. If you really want to have a successful relationship, you have to get out of your own head. This is especially difficult for hyper rational or hyper emotional thinkers whose brains have gotten them very far in life. The one thing your brain can't do is advance your interpersonal relationships through some magic equation or projection of reality. You have to do that for yourself in the moment and you're not going to be able to do it if you're killing yourself with performance anxiety.

      @ryanbarker3978@ryanbarker39783 жыл бұрын
    • @@Redouku 100% agree, though I think it is important to acknowledge being caught up in a power struggle in it of itself is not secure behavior. I'm not saying it's impossible to have a healthy relationship with somebody you're playing this kind of cat and mouse game with (right person wrong time absolutely happens), but if you're stuck on it, you need to walk away from that dysfunctional situation. Never-ending shit tests are a pretty clear sign that at least one person involved is too damaged to be in a healthy relationship in the present moment.

      @ryanbarker3978@ryanbarker39783 жыл бұрын
    • @@Redouku I get what you're saying but am going to agree to disagree. There's an incredibly fine line here and if you're interested in someone, having a mature conversation about boundaries at the forefront of dating is always the better route to go. I understand why people shit test others to gauge what they will tolerate, but it's a form of sabotage that will damage your ability to trust and respect someone else. In my experience, things generally work out better in the long term when you assume the best in someone else but are prepared to deal with the worst. It's also always better to be the person introducing healthy communication into a potential relationship versus being the person introducing passive aggressive behavior like shit testing. The concerns I have with shit testing have nothing to do with the jovial or playful nature of it and everything to do with the fact that excessive shit testing communicates a damaged individual. If you are not secure enough in yourself to not question the character of every person you enter a potential relationship with, you are going to crumble when any relationship you enter is actually tested by real difficulty. It's also impossible to escalate or be intimate with somebody you know doesn't actually reciprocate your trust or respect. I'm all for playful banter, but if you can't have a mature and direct conversation about whatever boundary is so important to you, then you can't have a successful relationship with another person. I do think that everybody deserves an opportunity to have that conversation regardless of if they lead it with shit testing or not. However, if you shy away from it, you are also going to be incapable of regulating pain in healthy ways or letting go. These type of people are always better off single working out whatever is causing their anxiety, avoidance, or fear. I am not saying somebody has to lay out all of their deepest thoughts when they just begin dating, but the number one mistake people make in dating is fearing the vulnerability it takes to speak what is actually on their mind. You do much more damage to your relationship with someone when you play games surrounding what is in your head than you do if you just talk about it, however uncomfortable it is. Learning to be a part of the successful 10% who transition into healthy long term relationships is all about learning to leave behaviors like shit testing that deconstruct trust and respect behind. Period.

  • very interesting channel !!!! i was told to watch and this was my first time watching. true humored from the start. the length of this video grabbed my attention being that the length 11:29 is my birthday lol. my female friend told me i shouldve done one of these videos years ago. since a kid ive been groomed by my dad who was always taking care of himself from clothing shaving and stance to the words he used at all times. now 55yrs old ive never dropped the ball worked hard my whole life maintained my body weather its skin nails hair teeth classic style of dressing that has never been wrinkled or worn out. the best in casual clothing to amazing suits and a healthy weekly workout. ive also been the single father of my daughter since she was 7. her mother passed away and that being told i never dropped the ball with catering to a young ladies needs from hair being done clothing perfumes and now 32 she has continued to not only continues to maintain but as a mom to a 6yr old son hes into being clean when not playing in the dirt but loves showers and smell good products and has amazing manners. SOOOOO my question to you is why on gods green earth does my very attractive daughter find herself picking guys that absolutely in my option refuse to maintain themselves !!!! hair months behind in needing cut beards nothing short of disgusting and dressing like hobos with zero respect for themselves and respect for others when out in public. days between showers !!! im a non smoker and my daughter is as well but she dates guys that not only smoke but often chain smoke !! there not even attractive !!! not that looks are everything or even a requirement to be a good person. none of the guys she has dated make sense to me or anyone else that know her.. im terrified to this day to even ask her WHY !!!

  • I routinely clean and trim my nails. I stopped using hair product and shampoos and since I stopped I noticed my dandruff went away and my scalp is no longer dry and itchy. I thoroughly clean it out every time I shower and rinse every night before bed to clean the daily grim, sweat, and oils out. I just use my natural hair oils to style it and I’ve noticed my hair is healthier and doesn’t look “greasy” and has a natural shine to it.

I normally would use Neutrogena acne stress control every other day and switch it up with Citaphil skin cleanser. I would also drink plenty of water to hydrate my skin. Lotion is also key especially in the dry cold winter season. I shave my head and put lotion afterwards. Is that OK or should I use something else?

  • Guys, Courtney's advice is sound. But remember that the best changes are the ones made to please oneself, not others (women, in this case). That's what contributes to value in a man. If you're high value, girls will line up before you, I promise!

  • I agree with all the aspects of nailbiting for sure. However I have been trying to stop doing it my whole life and nothing has worked. I tend to bite my nails when I am stressed, I don't even realize when I am doing it. However I don't bite them down to a stub like ever, there where the nail clipper would stop is where I stop biting. Not that that is a pro....

  • For my skin care routine, I wash my face with regular water, then wash it again with rose water, the rose water is superior to regular water but it does not last long because I have to buy it LOL... once a week I will put on an Anti Bac (Acne Lotion) mask, let it soak in then wash lotion off with another round of rose water. I could do the acne treatment more often, but I'm lazy and too often would dry the skin out. Rehydrate my skin after washing with avocado oil which also seals in moisture (especially important in the winter) and does not clog pores badly. I don't use lotion on my face anymore (too many chemicals). Dove lotion only for my hands, and elbows/knees. For fragrance, I do couple sprays under my undershirt, then on my wrists, inner elbow and a collar shirt goes on over that, then I spray on the neck and let some get on my collar. It usually last most of the day. The Eau De Toillete I am using is rather weak (I think at least), so I have to spray multiple times and get it on clothes.

    • I struggled with this as a teen and when I cut back on dairy and started buying lactose free, my cystic acne went away! It was bizarre. I know that doesn’t help everyone but a lot of times cystic acne is caused by food sensitivities. I would try cutting things out of your diet and see if that helps!
