They going to milk this as long as they can
That isn't going to be long by the looks of it.
it’s already the 15th year of r35 the are starting to milk it dry
On god.. till they see ribs
They're doing the same thing like dodge
They sucking on blood at this point
I think we are at the point where we just have to be happy it’s got an engine
Exactly with these times ..... The whole Green energy electric car bullshit...
@@georgexander7170 As opposed to the ongoing geopolitical conflicts that can very well end our ability to obtain fossil fuels without a war? Ah yes you're right. Jesus you ppl dont think, there is no perfect system, and i get youre stuck in your ways but it doesnt matter because we're going electric whether you like it or not, thats just how life works. The grid will accommodate eventually, we won't phase out completely anyway for another couple decades at least, so you can keep chugging along with your ideals till then.
I would be perfectly fine if it was a hybrid tbh, the added electric motors would help the R35 perform better than just the V6 itself (And it's automatic only anyway, manual fanboys 😅)
But what about the corvette zo6
Mazda needs to get on this market. They have great potential.
It’s simple . Japanese car designers dont do what American car companies do where they completely throw away master crafted designs to simply make money. They improve and increase already perfected designs. That’s why all of our USA cars always have “all new “ designs that sell but always have design flaws and the same problems over and over
Thank you🙏 someone said it
💯
Bro nissan just can't afford to make a new GTR. And if you think Japanese are all about improvement, they are the ones responsible for eclipse cross 😂

If it isn’t broken, don’t fix it.
what a great way to justify nissans laziness. if it aint broke than we’ll surely see nissan sell a bunch of these right? wrong
It’s definitely broke though lol or at least outdated. It’s been the same car basically since Tokyo drift lls
@@ZaahirGames seriously though. the car has been out since george bush was president. its had 3 damn face lifts. and this laziness is reflected in nissans other interiors
I agree. The power is fine because the platform can hold an absurd amount. And at least it did get a facelift, imo a facelift changes the whole look.

A while ago I saw an incredible looking concept that was basically just a modernised r34 I wish they did that instead of this design
Oh, come on, people, I know the great Past was a good time, so many bad things didn't happen back then. But maybe it's a little too depressing to have a car that just slightly modernises something of the past. There's two things: 1. Preserve past and make it live as long as possible, and 2. Make that thing evolve and live. If you want 1 than just buy an R34 and be happy. If you want 2, than accept new designs and other changes. Just look at R32 to R33 to R34 lineage. BORING AS HELL! Almost the same car living through 3 generations. It's not good! I know they have different dimensions, a lot of different components, but they still are VASTLY SIMILAR, and big role at this plays the design.
The Romaninah design? Yeah it's pretty cool but i wish it have flatter bumper than his design
I saw that too that’s what I was really wanting it to be
@@ldmtagthat's absurd man have you even ever driven them all cuz one can just counter you're point with the fact that yes all are kind of similiar in the sense that there all 2 doors and awd, but that's what makes a gtr a gtr too say the r32-r34 are the same cars is absurd like have you driven them all irl too be able too say that? or just in forza my boi?😂
@@Fax_my_pants 1. Are you insane, you seriously think an average person, even an average car enthusiast have THIS big chances of getting behind the wheel of sold only in Japan GTR? Dude, the argument "have you driven it" is the shi ttiest, most stu pid one can bring up in online discussion about rare sportscars. It's also very often conveniently brought up when someone has nothing else to say. 2. I've driven a lot of other cars and I know you BARELY FEEL THE DIFFERENCE if you drive cars of similar sizes and designs. In case of two nissans R33 has a slightly longer wheelbase, slightly more downforce, I believe, and slightly better brakes. This means you'll notice the difference only in close to limit conditions, and I'm not a race driver and don't plan to be one. I actually don't even like sportscars that much, I prefer bad**s SUVs like Ford Bronco or jack of all trades master of none types like Grand Cherokee Trailhawk. 3. THE SAME ENGINE, THE SAME POWER, THE SAME OVERALL PROPORTIONS - it's not trully the same car, but it's close enough! They barely qualify for different generations, just like Evo VII to IX.
I'm glad they didn't discontinue the GTR line. Boring or not, it would break alot of hearts if they one day said no more GTRs.
They're extending time for the next gen production. I believe it will be hybrid.
@@DEFCON1.as long its not Fully electric im fine with it. Its still had the engine sound its still had the engine to work on and its still possible to put fully manual or sequential on it.

I like it it’s nice to still have a good old r35 you can still buy new . Personally I also love the refresh of it and that it still has that awesome engine.

The R36 will definitely be hybrid.
People don’t understand the financial crisis that Nissan is going through right now. They can’t afford to make one new sport car let alone two. Nissan is currently running two, the Z and the GTR (not counting Infinity). Just be happy that they continued it, now with everyone going electric and discontinuing legends like evo, sti, focus RS, etc (RIP). Be grateful that we still have a GTR or Nissan at all. Great job Nissan, love the facelift!!!
It’s crazy because 85% of the people complaining cant even afford to own a new R35 lol. I mean, the new 2022 and ‘23 Frontiers are a huge hit for Nissan but those are a whole different ball game
@@imcrux6583 For real bro this is why car companies give up can’t make anyone happy. Love how Nissan in the face of bankruptcy they still doing their thing. Imma check out this frontier now thanks 🙏🏼 for the info!
Finally someone who understand
Holy hell I agree with you🙏🙏
Thank you for this comment, finally someone with sense around here
Even though it seems drawn out now, when the R35 is out of production its super long lifespan will keep it accessible and make it iconic in a similar way to old Land Cruisers
I have a slight feeling this is just the introduction to an actual r36 gtr🤷🏿♂️
If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. People love them and buy them, and the people that complain can’t afford them.
But why make it a new generation?
Yes😎👍
It's called upgrade. Not fix.
@@JiTiAr35What will they upgrade? If we get a new generation it will most likely be an ev. I much prefer this one.
This guy gets it
If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

you conform to so little lmao they’re too lazy to redesign it after 15 years
@@e30connoisseur Pretty sure you count as the minority. Why should they build it from the ground up when people continue to buy them? It makes no sense to make a completely new car for the 5% of salty Nissan fans.
Then we would still have the r34 with a face-lift. No r35. Innovation is what pushes the competition and in the end gets us better cars.
@@DoWorkNP Only if it is needed, you don't need to re-invent the wheel.
Wish they would’ve upgraded the infotainment system at least
I cant even afford the GTR logo so i wont speak on it 😂😂
When you have a legend like Godzilla you don't screw around with a good formula I'm glad that the GT-R will still be living🇯🇵👍
But Godzilla died in August of 2002, the current overhyped, overengineered, over priced, autotragic( yes I know it's fast, don't care, it's an automatic so it sucks in my eyes regardless of performance because numbers aren't my concern), lump of ugliness incarnate with too big of an engine is at best Momzilla and at worst as boring as watching the news.
If that was the case, NISSAN would still be selling R32s.
When the r35 first came to the US market they sold 1700 gtrs the first year. Last year they sold about 300 in the US. People are not buying it like they used to. It needs a full redesign
It’s the only car I had on my wall as a poster that I can now buy new. I also had a rx7, r32, r34, evo, Murcielago, f1 and f40 on my wall. I believe that is why they are still making it, it’s not for everyone, it’s for a certain generation that grew up having posters of it and now they can buy one of their childhood dream cars, NEW WITH WARRANTY.

Nissan should not discontinue this car. If anything they should keep improving on it and sell it directly to the customer via online orders so that they can bypass dealership markup and lower the cost for the consumer. Then only the real fans will buy it and keep the legend going.
@@jbphilly1234 it’s main improvement would be lap times. It’s weight contributes to its grip around corners, so does it’s power boost, and front limited slip. The 35 ho increase was meant to increase straight line speed. The added downforce and front limited slip was for corners. Will be interesting to see the new lap times.
They shouldn't but I don't think the new look will benefit them or save them, I understand they are trying to cut costs since RND will be costly, but they have proven they can do better with the 400z, even though, this is still technically the same thing with the 400z.
"don't fix it if it's not broken"
“If it’s not broke don’t fix it”

@@hacklaurent9412 well that costs money, a huge amount money i don't think Nissan is gonna upgrade the current generation GTR, they might as well put that money into developing the next gen GTR
@63 meetraj Aghara that's what I'm saying paying north off 100k for old tech seems a bit much, especially since it's been the same stuff for year you'd think it be a bit cheaper or at least all that profit could go into new stuff, that all
@J S you seem mad but please elaborate in the changes that's makes it worth 100k+
Nissan went from revolutionizing the race industry with it's gtr r32 to having a car that looks exactly the same as last year
I would still buy it cause I don't have one yet. Don't need to change anything just don't stop producing it until I have one
Nissan milking the GTR like Rockstar milking the GTA V.
Nissian and infiniti with their concepts are amazing and then they actually release the car and it always disappoints
what about was it Q60 or Q50 concept in Forza Horizon that was pretty close to real model
@@treyhale8063 if they actually came out with the q50 in forza horizon 4 with the same engine as the gtr that would have been amazing
Because they have to meet standards for safety and regulations, they also have to take manufacturing and general daily usability into account. A concept car is just that, a concept, a look at a new design language that may be implemented, a designer letting their creativity flow without taking all the restrictions into account.
@@HickxiMMA yeah, the Q50 Eau Rouge would have been insane had Infiniti gone ahead and built it. However, costs would’ve been too high to be able to market it. Closest we’ll get is the Q50 Red Sport (but all Q50/60s are dubbed “baby Godzilla’s” due to how the VR30DDTT is like a mini VR38)

@@jbphilly1234ell if you drive it like a normal person its fine
@Jimmy Two Times So… an R35 then. Sure, if you go racing with them they are. For regular road use though? I would have to drive one, but I doubt it is slow. Besides, isn’t the weight of it done on purpose?

@@AndorRadnai for regular road use I would just get an bmw m5 drives better for daily use and has 625 hp the hole point of the gtr is godzilla 🐲 a monster made for slaying porches at half the price of a porche now its expensive and over-rated I am a gtr fan boy but I sold my old 2011 gtr and bought an 2021 m5 comp because there's no reason for anyone to buy a gtr anymore because it's getting smoked
@@christohees9150 Ok, I cannot argue with the M5. But that thing is… whew… I’ve driven one, and it is an absolute demon. Still very well balanced though. The M5 is a lot bigger, and it feels like it too. Definitely too big for a few European backroads. So I think on one of those theGTR would be the nicer one to drive, but I cannot verify that one. (That’s my definition of regular road use)
The Hycade concept is the best one I’ve seen so far🔥🔥🔥
This guy is the first car guy I've seen who's ASKING for a hybrid, ASKING for old-school fun to be mindlessly removed in favor of "performance". 95% of people don't need a track monster with the quickest possible lap times and the most insane HP and torque because they don't race on tracks and don't know the first thing about real racing, they just want a fun to drive car, a beautiful car that sounds nice and provides an unforgettable driving experience--we reached that point in the 90s technologically speaking, all that's left is to stick to the basics. You want a car that goes 0-60 in 0.001 seconds? Don't worry, whether you like it or not we're going to reach that point with electric cars. You should enjoy the old-school cars while they're still around.
it’s not electric and they didn’t decide to just discontinue like so many other manufacturers with their performance divisions, i’m honestly just thankful
Don’t wanna assume but you more then likely can’t even afford one. They should’ve redesigned it or just discontinued it cause it’s getting boring now.
🤣🤣🤣
@@e30connoisseur well you've assumed incorrectly my friend, but live your life.
If only it was electric

A track oriented spec with intense weight reduction like a gt3rs would’ve been sweet
GTR is like the Skyrim of cars at this point
Aftermarkets out there are so creative that this is not really necessary anymore
They're doing it because they know people will still buy it even though they put in minimal effort
People are actually buying less every year. Last year only 300ish were sold in the US market, compare that to 1500+ the first couple years it was released. It needs a full redesign unless they are happy selling just a couple hundred every year
After seeing the Nissan Hyper Force Concept, I can say that I'm actually happy that the R35 is still around. 1300HP ev? Bullsht. Give me an R36 that is fully upgraded and tuned VR38DETT
If it’s not broke, don’t fix it. It’s an iconic look.
GT-R is basically the GTA5 of cars at this point...
Can't afford to make too many changes man, Nissan is going through quite a hard time
I think we've seen enough Lord. You can end the world now 🤦♂️
It’s a great platform already people are making insane power numbers with these so yeah they going to keep bringing it out
Worked for Porsche for years now keeping essentially the same design on the 911
This is probably something to kinda hold us over until they make a new gen version of the GTR
ya know what? I'm fine w/ it
But whatever it may be, the design is just timeless
I was a toddler when the R35 GTR came out and by the looks of it I’ll be able to buy one new 🤣
y’all acting like they making a whole new fucking car, just let them do them
imagine if they add a manual transmission option that would be huge not for speed but for fun
Nissan should’ve just made the GTR-50 be the R36 and make a hybrid system and/or make an even more boosted r35 motor. Upgrade the interior and toss in a Manual for the enthusiasts. How hard is that??
Keeping price down still kicking ass on cars that cost twice as much💯💪🏽
Put a turbo v8 in this with a killer manual and you got something
Not everything has to be V8 and manual. Don't you have C7 Corvette for that?
@@ldmtag yeah but a turbo v8 is different from just a v8 lol
The GT-R is a different type of fun car, Jeremy Clarkson summed it up nicely in his review of the R34. The GT-R was made as a technological feat of engineering. The R34 was actually never developed to compete against the NSX, Supra, or RX7. Nissan made the 300ZX to complete against them, the R34 was in a league of it’s own by itself as a computer on wheels. A fun manual is the new Z, the GT-R is for a different kind of fun.
Just a manual you can put that v8 somewhere else.

And here we we're thinking that Nissan understood their customers
Hycade design always great
i like it, it's keeping the gtr legacy going without overdoing the design or making it EV
We need more successors in our automotive department😢

atleast they are not using energizer batteries to drive the damm car. at this point as long as it's a petrol engine its a good release💯
Doesn't matter, i love it. Still good i want to get it really bad ❤
This foo said "i think they shouldve given it a hybrid powerplant for more power". 💀
As soon as he said hybrid I knew I couldn't take his opinion seriously 💀
yes but for fuck sakes the same power and rourq they could have atleast bump up the power not that hard to do at this point I'd rather buy a 2017 gtr then a new one because there is no difference and you are paying way to much for a knew one
The longer they make it the more stable the gtr market is, people went into a frenzy when dodger stopped making challengers and gm with Camaros. I hope they bring a new one out, but it’s better than stopping production entirely
Idk what changes they did in each r35 gtr 💀
Really had our hopes up with the new Z. 1 step forward, 2 steps back
Why don't they pull their head outta their ass and do what Toyota did, give the gtr the manual transmission it deserves
Ironically it was Nissan who make Toyota "pull their head outta their ass" by way of Nissan introducing the Z. Before that Toyota said they would never make a manual Supra.

Yeah Nissan is done, we are seeing the end of an era where this company used to give us good cars. Now Nissan is known for Altima memes
I mean they still make good cara just not exciting cars. They're becoming honda 2.0, just making good but not special cars anyone really cares about
It's not a snoozer....... It's just as amazing as it was it just didn't change much and that's what people don't like DON'T FIX WHAT AIN'T BROKEN it is perfect
They’re not selling enough of them to justify a whole redesign They’d have to raise the price by a significant margin on an already expensive car
Compared to the competition this is the cheapest supercar on the market
I think they should have a daily mode like eco mode which runs on like 1-2 cylinders which I think would be a nice touch in reducing co2 emissions and a low tax bracket to make this car an affordable runner because let’s be frank it’s the cheap price that got the attention for the gtr in the beginning
That's all good my 1995 240SX suits me just fine
Nissan been slacking lately
If it aint broke, dont fix it. You wont understand until you own one...
We need to make the rims bigger every single year because upgrades. So by 2030 we will be on 26inch rims and can lift the GTR almost like a lifted truck. Shit is so fire.
Absolute waste of a reveal. They should've used the R36 render by Roman Miah
But it's not the R36! There's possibilities: 1. Next gen is too early in developmemt, they need to fill the void, and better have an upgrade than the same version for extra couple of years 2. There will be no R36, and better have an upgrade than just stop the production without telling anyone 3. The new gen is almost ready, and they want... no, that actually doesn't make sense 3. They wait for a specific competitor to make the first move. Maybe it's Corvette E-Ray. Just don't treat this reveal as the NEW GTR, it's just an update.
First Todd Howard with Skyrim, then Activision with Call of Duty, and now Nissan with the R34??!! What the hell is going on??!! Man, I just can’t!!
