Because it's finished depreciating. So he basically only paid for insurance and gas. Not a bad move. Could be a nice way to enjoy a 2009 Nissan GT-R this way.

    • Couple problems with that. The transmission and launch control in the earlier models, 2009 especially, was kinda crap. People also beat the shit out of their GTRs so you never know what kinda half beaten to death lemon you could get that will puke out its guts 2 weeks down the road. And 3, that will soon be a 10 year old car. 10 year old sports cars usually need a boatload of money to keep working well. There are good reasons as to why they are that cheap. You could get lucky and get a good one and not have a thing wrong with it. Or it could be a catastrophe after catastrophe. Personally I wouldn't go below 2014 model year if I would be buying one today.

  • I'm kinda disappointed, because one of the coolest quirks of the GT-R is the steering wheel adjustment system. If you want to move your steering wheel up or down, it moves WITH the whole gauge cluster, which is crucial, when you want to see how fast you're going or how many revs are you pulling at the moment. Too bad, it wasn't included in your video, Doug.

  • I own a 2016 Nissan GT-R Nismo and i think i know a lot about the car, so i think you missed a few important things. The complete front, the side skirts, the complete rear, the wing, and the corresponding Parts under the car are Carbon as well. Also the trunk is from inside a Carbon structure and from outside aluminium. The complete Nismo Carbon bodywork is designed from the Williams Formula 1 Team. And these parts are very expensive... The brakes are the same like the other GT-Rs from 2014 but the Nismo has a brake cooling with blades under the car! Suspension settings, rims and tires are also complete diffrent and the most important part are the turbochargers. They are direct from the GT3 racecar! The only thing what i dont know is why in the US are the full carbon seats are missing... in Japan and Europe you can only have these... and they’re quite good and expensive...

    • Lin Chester Carbon brakes maybe an Option but with the Nismo cooling they are quite good on a track like the Nordschleife and cheeper to replace. My Nismo has a few modifications and runs good ;-) tires are really important. So I drive Michelin Cup2 on forged wheels 285 in the front 345 at the rear. The car is also lower and has a little bit more power. So it runs good on the Track

Before we can even order one. And it’ll sit in the showroom for a year because the area we are in a very middle class area, we sell like only 2 maximas a month, and it will sit collect dust and finger prints, and we’ll sell it and make no profit on it” Then EVERY SINGLE GUY takes a GTR brochure and those aren’t cheap!

Originally the car and its engine is from 2009 so why bother to say that something that is newer is better . Dzizzz. And about Tesla there is something interesting cause this car is also faster than some Super Cars so no offense here . TRIGGERED!!!!

Even in Charlotte I've never seen one, so my chances of seeing one here in rural NC are pretty much zero. And I grew up in the 60's, if you bought a Japanese car, you were looked at as a non patriotic American , lol. The gas mileage was a big thing because around 1973 there was a gas crisis, lines of cars at the gas station, it was crazy.
