It’s was a police issued Luger. Someone struck the police unit markings off.
It's a police rework, DWM wasn't allowed to produce pistols after the end of WWI, and the pistol has a sear safety installed which was done in the 1930's. The aluminum magazine end caps also are part of the rework, original end caps were wood. The holster is a police holster, not a military holster.
