  • A glaring recurring theme in these matchups during Kobe's prime is the Lakers defense blowing leads in the 4th quarter due to a lapse of defensive effort by the team. Mike Brown was integral in the Cavs having a good defense. Kobe could be on fire but the team couldn't hold defensively this is also the reason in 2006 playoffs vs the Suns why the Lakers blew that series. Having guys like Ariza, Artest, and healthy Bynum, Gasol, and an overall commitment to that side of the ball later on would spearhead the Lakers to 3 straight NBA Finals appearances.

    • Anyone commenting actually from Ohio...and what would define 1v1 and forcing within a team sport🤨🤔? Personally I don't think either superstar could contain the other in prime... however, when it boils down to natural gifts and physique, I'd put money on Bron if all are in their prime. I've seen no one in 22 years make it difficult for him to get to the rim, impossible... especially since he doesn't have the character to naturally shoot his team out the game, within a team sport.

  • Why can't Lebron play like this anymore? I mean it's quite clear that he lost some of his athleticism compared to when he was Cleveland (at least that's what it looks like), but damn what happened to that explosiveness and aggression to attack the rim? If Lebron today played the same way he use to play with the Cavs with that improved jump-shot, better post moves, and better overall game, he would easily average 35 a game shooting at around 55%.
