2009 Western Conference Finals Game 3, May 23, 2009 | One of my favorite playoff performances by Kobe. There was uncertainty with the Lakers after they lost game 2 at home to go to Denver, one of the toughest places to play for opposing teams, in a tied series. Kobe had that look all night long and you knew he was all business from the opening jump. He poured in 41 points, none bigger than his dagger three over JR Smith to put the Lakers up 1 with just over a minute remaining. The Lakers wouldn't look back after that three, ending the game on a 10-2 run to win the game and take back the series lead at 2-1.

Equivalency of himself at that age... it’s proven we all know Kobe is the real goat... and when MJ was asked who would win him or Kobe he said he would lose end of story don’t care if he stole all your moves you still said you would lose... 91’ Jordan vs 05’ Kobe not even close... as big and more Athletic MJ was Kobe still would of beat him...

Let's compare playoff records shall we? *NBA Playoffs Records*: Most points 5,987 by *Michael Jordan* Most Points in a Game 63 by *Michael Jordan* Highest points per game average (min. 25 games) 33.5 by *Michael Jordan* (179 games) Most 50-point games 8 by *Michael Jordan* Most 40-point games 38 by *Michael Jordan* Most 30-point games 109 by *Michael Jordan* Most 20-point games 173 by *Michael Jordan* Only player to record consecutive 50-point games (2) Most consecutive 45-point games (3) Most consecutive 30-point games (19) Most consecutive 20-point games (60) Most consecutive 15-point games (179) Kobe? Oh here's his stats: *Kobe* = Most field goals attempted (4,499 Bricks) *Kobe* = NBA record only finals MVP to not shoot above 50% in a single finals game (2009 and 2010) *Kobe* = NBA record worst shooting performance by any finals MVP in history (40% shooting) *Kobe* = NBA record most missed shots in a playoff series *Kobe* = NBA record most missed shots in a finals Kobe has virtually *ZERO* meaningful playoff records other than what has been mentioned above.

  • Kobe you are greatly missed on that hardwood. One of the most greatest competitors and greatest players of all time. Most ruthless and relentless basketball player ever. Every time he played you always got something special from him. To the amazing, beautiful footwork. To the extremely beautiful, difficult shots that he made regularly. To all the clutch shots and all the game winners. To fully taking over a game at will many times and to all the championships and all the injures his been through. Everything about Kobe will be missed. Kobe was basketball. Played basketball with a passion and a true love for the game. He will forever be cemented into basketball history as one of the greatest. Hardest working athlete of all time. Even Kobe's workout were a thing of legends. You can look up many stories of NBA players or NBA Coaches speaking about witnessing Kobe's workouts. And almost all the NBA players said it made them feel like they were not doing enough after seeing Kobe workout and the time and effort he put into his workouts was insane because how hard he worked EVERY SINGLE PLAY of EVERY SINGLE MINUTE in practice. Kobe never took days off and has battled multiple injuries throughout his career. (The most famous one was when he won a NBA title with a broken finger!! Amazing!!) There will never be another Kobe Bryant. We witness something special for these past 20 years of Kobe's career. Thank you Kobe for showing me how basketball is suppose to be played and thank you for all the basketball memories. Kobe Bryant the GOAT.
