    • At the end of the day, I'll take Kobe's mentality over LeBron. LeBron is a quitter. He doesn't take losing seriously. After the Warriors blew him off the court in 5 games he had the nerve to smile and laugh at the podium. He talked about averaging a triple double. Losing didn't seem to bother him. I don't respect that.

  • I'll take the Kobe that dropped 50+ points back to back to back to back, the one that dropped 81, the one that dropped 60+ points and 20+ in the 4th, the one who's always been a lock down perimeter defender over prime LeBron. You can bring up stats, rings, accolades, and whatever else you want. But there's something about kobe that puts him above LeBron. Idk what it is. It could be that killer instinct and the fear hit put into people or how he wasn't scared to do anything or take on any challenge and never gave up on himself no matter how bad his shot was and no matter how many times he messed up. Even after those 3 airballs against Utah. It takes a brave person to shoot another shot in the WCF right after you airball. And then do it again and again. Or how he proved he didn't need shaq on his side to go get a ring. Or how he never left and quit on his team no matter how bad it got or how close he came to quitting on the Lakers. Or how if you made him mad, he would give you mad buckets. There's something about kobe that puts him above LeBron. You cant compare this thing with a stat or an accolade or whatever else. All you can do is use your eyes to see. (I'm not a huge Kobe or LeBron fan either). Prime Kobe > Prime LeBron LeBron is still a great and amazing player though

Kobe and Lakers fan for life.

No current NBA players ever said LeBron was better. No former NBA players ever said this. No Hall of Famers. No coaches. No one. Just the weird people I named. So you mean to tell me that ALL of these people are "hating" on LeBron? Like GTFOH saying Kobe not Top 5 scoring 81 of over 50 percent shooting in the era that was both the most skilled and physical at the same time...not one drastically overshadowing the other. You guys are weirdos. LeBron is amazing, but it's Kobe and everyone who has a high level knowledge of basketball is very well aware of this.

      @OfficialRocNation@OfficialRocNation6 жыл бұрын
    • @@OfficialRocNation Yes, if your team needs your iso scoring and on-ball defensive skills. Best team players have one specialized department around which their role is established in the team, and that lets everyone else do what they do best. That is the case even if you have other skills. For instance Bird never dominated the ball despite his playmaking skills, which meant lower individual assist averages but a better team. The same proved right when MJ stopped being the ball distributor after he had averaged 8 apg for a season. Filling stats sheets doesn't make someone a better team player, just like high assists don't mean you make your teammates better (and good passing skills doesn't mean good playmaking skills). Systems makes players better, not inflated all-around stats of individuals.

    • People who say Lebron is better than Kobe understand basketball. Lebron best straight from HS player #1 draft pick franchise player vs Kobe #13 to the bench player. Kobe played 20 seasons with 1 MVP, 2 final MVPs, 2 scoring titles and never had a season shooting over 46 % from the field (inefficient). These Kobetards want him to be greater than a guys with 1 scoring title, 4 MVPs, 3 final MVPs and 7 seasons shooting 50% from the field (efficient). Only players to win MVP, Finals MVP & Gold Medal in the same season - MJ & LBJ. Kobe has never been on this level. Kobe was blessed spending 8 seasons as Shaq's sidekick & having the knowledge of Phil Jackson. If Lebron's first 7 seasons with Cavs were played with Prime Shaq & Phil Jackson as HC, he would have 6-8 rings already. The Kobetards hype Kobe for team accomplishments that Shaq, Gasol & Phil Jackson got for him. Just look at his accomplishments when he didn't have any of the fore-mentioned. Kobe has be fortunate to have HOF coach & great teams. individually he hasn't out performed LeBron James and the sports writers & analysts understand this whereas the novice fan compare players based on highlight clips

Kobe led the Lakers in scoring and led them in scoring in the first and second round in 03 (b4 being eliminated by the Spurs) and led them in scoring in the first, second round, and WCF in 2004. Shaq was out of shape and nearing the end of his prime by that time and Kobe was getting better every year and had officially entered his Mamba phase. Plus in the 18 playoff series the Lakers played in from 2000-2004, Kobe led the Lakers in scoring in 10 of those 18 series.

Also , 3 of those losses the finals MVP were Sf's.U think Kobe or Jordan would let their opposing position win finals MVP on them? Fuck no!!! Lebron is a goat but he's not "The" Goat. Don't let stats dictate who's better, Kobe's a better offensive player and defensive player than Lebron nothing but facts!! If u disagree u not a hardcore basketball fan or started watching after Lebron joined the Heat in 2010. I''ve watched Kobe's career since 98 and he's the greatest player I've ever seen. • 1. You're acting as though Lebron can't win more rings. 2. Out of the 22 matchups between Lebron and Kobe, Lebron has won 16 of them while averaging more points, assists, rebounds, steals, and blocks than Kobe. 3. You're acting as though Kobe lead his team to his first 3 rings when it was actually Shaq who lead them while Kobe was the second option. 4. Lebron has had to face way harder competition in the Finals than Kobe or Jordan ever have. 5. Lebron will top Kobe and Jordan in points in less time, less shot attempts, and less misses, but with more assist and rebounds.

    • 1. It doesn't matter if he win more rings he will never be the better player better career? Sure . 2. Once again you're letting the stats dictate your mind.Kobe owns him literally almost everytime they matchup. 3. Once again you're letting the stats dictate your mind. This is how i know u only look at stats and wasn't watching basketball back then because u would know they were both 1a and 1b. 4. Lebron only real competition was the Warriors every other finals he participated in he was the favorite . Do you not know how tough it was for Kobe to get to the finals having to go against Duncan, Garnett, Dirk, Nash, Melo, etc all in their primes also teams like the Trailblazers, Jazz, Rockets each year ? I mean damn i would hope Lebron would have some competition instead of just sweeping through the playoffs because of the weak ass eastern conference . 5. Once again you're letting the stats dictate your mind.

      @Ksndfg@Ksndfg6 жыл бұрын
    • If you actually watched both of them play in their prime you could definitely see that Lebron is better. I'm not trying to hate but when you saw Kobe in 05-06 and the mid to late 2000's when he was at his prime he wasn't as good as LBJ in his prime. People also forget that they were a 7th seed with Kobe averaging 35 and they only got to a championship caliber level once they acquired Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum started to blossom. Those two were beasts on the boards and on defense. Before they got Gasol Kobe was demanding to be traded because he was tired of the Lakers being at the bottom of the west in the playoffs. I don't hate Kobe, I admire how much fortitude and tenacity he played with, but just on the eyeball test he wasn't as good as Lebron. At least that's my opinion from watching but of them play without too much bias.

    • Now let me throw a few at you Jordan 1-9 before Pippen never won a playoff series without pippen won only 1 playoff game before pippen Jordan got 2 Top 10 player within his 3rd season in the league. Lebron played 7 season for Cavs & never got a first round Top 10 player Jordan never beat the best teams of his era. Top teams in the 80s. He won when the league became watered down in the 90s. Jordan played in the era of the big men vs Lebron who play in the era of Great perimeter players Every team Lebron played in the finals have a better efficiency rating than the best team Jordan played in the Finals When Jordan retired his team won 2 less games, so much for Jordan greatness. When Lebron left Cavs they got 3 number 1 draft picks and became the worst team in the league. Lebron at 18 a franchise player in the NBA, Jordan was not good enough out HS. Lebron at 22 led a NBA franchise to the finals, Jordan was still playing college kids at that age Jordan had a HOF college & NBA Coach. Lebron had only rookie coaches and still he rose to greatness Jordan primarily guarded by Jeff Hornacek in 2 Finals. Jordan has multiple games shooting over 40 shots a game. lebron never took that many shots and only 3 points less than Jordan in PPG Lebron will pass Jordan in every major stat total.

    • Xavier Vega sure just let kyrie or ray Allen take the game winner for him tho. There's like a 12 min vid showing all the choke jobs he has had in the 4th. Dude has no killer instinct when it matters most.

  • Kobe is the closest thing we will get to the GOAT Jordan. Lebron is the greatest flopper of all time. That's all he can do.
