** Why Do We Hunt Hogs? **
Feral hogs are a non-native and invasive species in Texas. Each year hogs cause millions of dollars in damage in the form of damaged crops, contaminated water supplies, broken equipment, transmission of diseases and injury to livestock.
Feral hogs compete with native wildlife for resources and also prey directly on the eggs and young of ground nesting birds and will actively hunt small mammals, frogs, lizards and snakes.
Due to their intelligence, adaptability, and prolific breeding habits, traditional methods of hunting and trapping have been largely ineffective in reducing the feral hog population. The introduction of night vision and thermal optics has greatly increased landowners' ability to mitigate the destruction caused by feral hogs.
Feral swine are not considered game animals in Texas and may be hunted by any means or methods at any time of year.

ABOUT US
Ultimate Night Vision is an industry leader in night vision, thermal imaging and digital NV devices. Night vision is not just a profession for us, it is our passion. Here in Texas, we are fortunate enough to be able to use NV and thermal scopes for hog hunting, coyote hunting, and hunting other predators and varmints at night. The firsthand knowledge gained through hunting with NVD's on a regular basis allows us to provide accurate and relevant information to our customers.
Our channel features product reviews, instructional videos, comparisons, and plenty of hunting footage.
"You would never use that gun for hunting!" My fellow Texans:
God Bless Texas
I love Texas, i usually take my Mosin Nagant and go hunting hogs and its a lot of fun to say the least, and my neighbors always ask me the next morning, "huntin' hogs again?" Thank Jesus Christ this state was born
He just did😮
Lol
its not hunting moron

I love how effective and efficient .50cals are compared to other mounted guns, but still expensive af. Really good skill and experience, consistently hitting your targets
I never knew hogs could be so agile and athletic. Some were turning flips, jumping up backwards...Very impressive.

Veri good 👍💯
Dude has a literal technical for hog hunting that’s awesome
Technicool now
Awesome? that's shameful and sadistic. A whole military armament to kill hogs, that's why the Americans are missing a screw
This ain’t hunting, this is slaughter. Let’s go ‘Murica!
You’re a fucking clown that probably doesn’t hunt. If you do hunt you probably sleep with your sister
@@Waterybong It’s necessary, if they did not do this then the hogs would pose a greater danger to the environment, other wildlife and humans alike.
This absolutely needs to be a video game.
Excellent idea ❗️
so gratifying
That field must be littered with casings XD
Man you definitely needed the thermal drone to follow the truck on this one. That would add another level of awesome to this video.
The fact that the hogs get hit and keep running is insane
Apparently sometimes the adults' skulls can be so thick that a smaller caliber round will literally bounce off of them. They're tough, mean little fucks

When the ammo costs more than the damage, but the fun is unmatched. 😂
Yeah because ammo cost a billion dollars! Lol.. you people are so completely ignorant it’s not even funny!
What's crazy is that you can actually buy belted Lake City 50 BMG for cheaper than 308 or 30-06 hunting soft or hollow point ammo. Its pretty retarded how much manufacturers mark up the pricing of their hunting ammo lines
This is America. (Donald Glover) 😄
I think it's like 130 per hog
@@rickiecollier7313 .50 bmg is around 5 bucks a shot at retail prices. I pay that for sabot slubs in my 12 gauge man. .50 bmg is not nearly as marked up as more common ammo.

I love the point where he’s about to shoot but they recognize it as a fire hazard if they did. Outstanding discipline.
lmao like bullets set things on fire THIS IS NOT A MOVIE plus dont they have a fire extinguisher in the car or something i think its regulation that you need to have a fire extinguisher

@@bahshasdidn't see the incendiary rounds, genius?
@@bahshas This is in Texas and its been a very hot, dry summer down there. Any small spark can set grass that dry ablaze and cause a MASSIVE fire in a matter of minutes. If not seconds. @@borneowarriors4586 Ya im kinda torn seeing stuff like this, feral hogs are definitely an issue and nuisance. But i feel like i respect people that hunt and use their kills to eat themselves or feed someone else. Looks like they are just killing them for fun which is their right, but i just see it as wasteful. I dont follow this channel maybe they do use the meat but the 50 cal is pretty much making the pigs into mush lol i dont see them going back to use the meat.
@@carvedfromlife8949 your comment is a red herring. they are not doing it for fun. They maybe having fun as anyone destroying vermin using skill might, but they are not doing it *for* fun, it is not their prime motive. As far as feeding people, ferals are huge reservoirs of pathogens including trichinosis which causes lifelong disease. Trichinosis in ferals is about one in seven, where in farmed swine it is under 1/1,000
@@carvedfromlife8949 Same as Emu wars at Australia. They are such a pain in ass, that everything will be good. Unfortunatly hogs are much harder to control then emu.

Absolutely what the founding fathers intended
Not exactly but it does help with animal infestations.
Own a 50cal. to eradicate invasive species because that's what the founding fathers intended, 200 hogs coming into my field "What the devil?" Pulled back the handle and started firing on the first group, run out of ammo and had to utilize a nearby SAW to mow down few more of them, had to resort to the minigun mounted on the top to kill the last few because the SAW jammed.

You should come down here and try it out, there's companies that will take you out at night to do the same thing. Either on foot, land vehicle, or helicopter.
