  • For people who haven’t been awoken to the world of high fidelity headphones, these will sound unlike any headphones you’ve ever used in your life. Welcome to the audiophiles world, masterful sound reproduction; and these headphones are at the bottom of that world. The rabbit hole goes deep.

    • GNR Frank I’m more into the hifi headphones, I really don’t need a mic much. You start getting into the Bang & Olufsen (B&O), Bowers & Wilkins, and Sennheiser headphones, you see how expensive it gets. You’re looking at $300 to $1000 for a single pair. That’s for music lovers though, works for games as well.

  • ive used astro a40's for 5 years, they're dirty and a part of it just snapped out of nowhere. Just ordered these feel like they're quite similiar; both super light and open

    @Zova@Zova3 жыл бұрын
    • How would you compare the two? Yesterday I purchased the a40s(standalone) they’re probably the most comfortable headset I’ve ever had. Thing is, I didn’t know about the mix amp and from what I’ve been reading, the a40s are pointless without it. The sound quality is good, I expected a bit better but that’s probably where the mix amp comes into play. Now I’m not interested in spending an extra $150 on an amp plus hdmi adapter for the ps5 I just want a simple headset without needing a mix amp and have wires running all over the place. I came across these Sennheisers and they’re currently on sale at my bestbuy for $119.99. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

    • @@ceezare3039 yea these are great, I use them for my PC so the audio might be a little different in some ways but I've dropped them many times, the wire has been tangled under my chair etc and it still works perfectly fine (use them everyday). Wasn't very comfortable at first compared to the a40s because they're a bit heavier but I got used to it after awhile and I much prefer these as the a40s don't really have sound protection so the audio can be heard outside the headset pretty easily.

  • Hi GNR frank hope you’re well... these look great are they wireless or just wired? Also as a ‘tall’ headed person any other headset recommendations please? Was ideally looking wireless bc the wire always wears too quickly or detached/replaceable. Thanks!

  • After your comments yesterday I watched this video and a few others and I’m really close to buying these. Just one question how are these with hearing footsteps or knowing where they’re coming from? I also play a lot of cod and can you tell if sounds are bottom left or up above or is it mainly just a stereo left or right sound? Thank you so much for your responses yesterday also helped a lot

  • how is the sound quality if you listen to music? equally amazing as in games? I like to listen to some piano tunes while doing some office work. I currently have a hyperx cloud flight and it has a huge problem with white noise. I cant listen to anything at low volume because the white noise just cancels out every other tune. How is the sennheiser doing in this regard? have you heard any white noise? And one last question: U said you can hear your fans crystal clear. Unfortunatly I have a gaming laptop, thus my fans are very loud while gaming and I am sitting right in front of the sound pollution :D so you wouldnt recommend it if you have a noisy surrounding?

    @pmb90@pmb904 жыл бұрын
    • So first off thanks for the comment! Here’s my take. The little music I did listen to sounded just fine as long as we understand that this headset doesn’t have a whole lot of bass behind it. Now if you’re playing or working in a noisy environment then this headset is not for you. Take a look at the Senheiser gsp series. Those are closed back. Great for noisy rooms.

      @StreamGearTalk@StreamGearTalk3 жыл бұрын
    • Great for Music! Not a lot of bass like he said but really clear, crystal clear to be clear

  • Don’t have this headset yet but going to finally replace my senheizer PC360s with it 😆 dude don’t discount DACs, try the senheizer GSX1000 with a senheizer headset…..it takes fidelity even further. I did have A40s, I soon learnt their garbage compared to senheizers setup.

Really thinking about sennheisers and just selling these two off on facebook or something, let me know if you see this please.
