Lightweight is good and what did I use it for it’s a lawnmower kzhead.infoUgkxTPN04aT-Qdjr_KS3ql7ng8wnU3wwsCqk also recommend Yes it is lightweight so hence not as robust as our old one. But if you take care it does the job really well.
The engine's internal condition was surprisingly good given its miserable exterior condition. Great find!
I would guess that the previous owner threw in the towel because of the snapped bracket for the handle bar. Sometimes you get lucky with kerb side cleanups where the engine has great compression but there's a superficial issue like linkages/brackets/dirty carbs etc.
Thank you Daggerwin! You have given me many hours of entertainment this year with your FS and Restoration videos. Have a great new year! :)
Oh wow thank you so much for your extreme generosity. A very merry Christmas to you and your family!
Thats awesome of you bud. Wish i had some to give.

Excellent result. Beautifully engineered. In my youth, the "Hayter', was considered The "Queen", of the rotaries. You have done her proud. Thank you !
This is a MASTER craftsman. There are very few left these days.
Brand spanking new again. What a brilliant restoration video. I was hooked from start to finish. And to think I know nothing about mechanics. It was the most interesting thing I’ve seen in ages. My late husband would have been in his element watching it. He loved mechanical things. Thank you for entertaining this 75 year old senior citizen in Australia 🇦🇺 ❤❤
They were good those old Hayter mowers. Well deserving of being restored.
I've never previously seen anyone paint a Brigg's gas tank. Interesting!
I love, when it is a really old “thing”, and not just a “thing “ with corrosion/rust painted on! Awesome work!
Excellent video Daggerwin, one of my favourite mowers that I still use to this day. Wonderful restoration and looks good as new. Keep up the great work 😃
Fills me with joy seeing old equipment rejuvenated 😊
I love your attention to detail, you have restored this to showroom level. 👏🏻 👏🏻
You're probably gonna reply " i wouldn't have it any other way " but thank you using ALL GENUINE BRIGSS parts ! I truly didnt think you could source another dish with the blades as well. Excellent video ! Im 5months late but still enjoyed viewing !
A new MR restoration video? NOW It’s Christmas!
I always thought your mechanical work was superb on these mowers, but you really are improving on the cosmetic side of the restorations. They look cleaner, sleeker, and almost factory quality good. You're hard work and attention to detail does pay off.
What a heavily built mower deck, it should last forever if cared for.
What a great little mower, could have decades of mowing ahead of it now after that restoration.
I do not believe that I have ever seen anyone clean it the way you did before storing it away, Most owners just leave it outside and go from there. Very nice job on that engine too.
Good Job! glad to see your wasn't just sitting on your GRass during the winter time. Look forward to your next restoration project. Than You!
It's fantastic to see one of your new videos before Christmas. I always love watching them. I can't wait to see the next one.
Quality work, that’s what you call a restoration! I’ve fond memories of the hayterette..I used one for years, such a handy machine to have
777😮.🎉
Great work! That was a great watch, you covered everything. That mower will easily last another 30yrs.
I just found your channel. Great job making that 1987 mower like new again. I was 15 when it was new.
Those old Briggs and Stratton flatheads run forever. Best engine they ever made.
I have over a dozen of these in various levels of repair. My favourite is a simply Honda engine swap - that blade disc is a bugger to remove - only done it successfully a couple of times. I swear at them a lot but they are the best push mower I’ve ever used. Yes, it’s true - I have hater-tourettes…. Or Hayterette’s for short! :)
Great job. A beautiful piece of equipment! I love seeing these old machines brought back to life.
I saw that engine & said DANG, man those spiders love their home. Also great job on the restoration!
Cracking job you did with all the parts👍👏👏👏👏👏
Nice restoration there. I used to use the older model Hayterette with a red engine and light green deck in my youth and they were real beasts for rough undergrowth as you showed with those brambles
a truly wonderful restoration.attention to detail second to none! thank you!
That's a nifty piece of equipment. I love these restoration videos. Breathing new life into something old. Nice job as always!
This is the first time watching one of your video's. This is a real nice job you did on this brush mower. You should have a handy machine to last you for years!
Wow that's awesome, the difference between start and the finish is unbelievable.
Fantastic Job! A True Mechanic!
That Hayter lawnmower looks brand spanking new after the restoration.
I have a 1974 Professional model ready to restore right now!.. still a cracking mower in the 21st century.
I didn’t think I was going to like the engine all complete black. But after seeing it all together,it look very nice. Brand new. Nice job!!!
Great Job !! I don't blame you for cutting off the base / blade plate. You could have tried for another 5 hours and still ended up having to cut it off. It's not like they are rare. Love your work.
That restoration was absolutely awesome! Thank you
This is beautiful! Well done, never seen anything like this with lawn mowers at least! Very detailed as well. Hope to see more content.
Another beautiful restoration! I really would love to see a video of a garage tour of all the Restorations you've done
Absolutely a fantastic job. Transformation is complete with machine as good as new.❤
What a great Christmas Present, the roller coaster on silver run and a new restoration video! Hope you have a great break and merry christmas :)
For me this is a "Masterpiece" worth every effort, time and for watchers to learn what is a outstanding restoration.
You've gone and done it. 🙂 that looks better than Brand new !!!!! 🙂 i love it
Wonderful work, I love how you also give it a hard time when testing it. I think James AKA turbo conquering mega eagle loves this model and can be seen running with it while cutting brush in one of his videos.
Outstanding. Must’ve spent hundreds, if not thousands of hours walking behind one of these. Almost a shame to get it mucky after the restoration 😅
briggs + aluminium chassi = lasts forever. i love it
THANKS I ENJOYED THE VIDEO.. FROM NOLA, USA...
My friend,a gearhead, bought a mower from the flea market, around 10 dollars. Sharpened the blade, cleaned the carb, added 140 gear lube to the crankcase, topped it off with 104 octane fuel booster, bypassed the governer with some string, and mowed a backyard covered in waist high grass, laughing the whole time, because it actually was working! Every time he let off the throttle a purple flame would shoot out about 4 inches. Just a fond memory I wanted to share
P.s. it never blew up!
I really injured this viewing reminds me cleaning my dads lawnmower all the time years ago thank you 4 your viewing
You do such beautiful work! Thanks for sharing. Wish you and yours a Blessed Christmas and a safe and Prosperous New Year.
Great restoration enjoyed watching it from beginning to end.
That was a very nice refurbishing project. It looks and runs like new. Thumbs Up!
Excellent restoration 👍👍👍Thank you for sharing. Be safe🇨🇦
I am floored.. This is extreme top shelf work.. What a joy to watch!
That kind of blade wound make any mower a little brush cutter , nice work!!!
A Rolls-Royce job. Mr Hayter would be very impressed. Looks great and runs beautifully.
Great restoration as I was impressed by the finish on the machine !
That was an excellent restoration. Really enjoyed it. Thank you!
Love it bring it back to New. Thanks for sharing this video with us.
Fantastic editing and camera work in your videos. This might be my new favorite channel.
Really nice work, no part overlooked. Excellent
Nice work , runs great , looks brand new .
I love when something is brought back to life and can be used again..
Wow! I am so Impressed! So, neat too see a old machine brought back to life. Amazingly makes me really happy to see! I guess I see so many yard machines sitting in yards with grass & weeds grown over them. They become hidden yard art! I love the perfection that you put into them. First time I have seen your videos. You got another follower!
very nice bit of kit!!! Greetz from the Netherlands!!!😀
I don’t know why but this just chills me out. This mower was first used when I was about 5 years old.
Very satisfying Bramble footage! That thing is sweet. Excellent restoration video. Now where's your rototiller refurb? Gotta turn that beautiful mulch patch into a veggie garden. ✨😁🥕🫑🫛🥒🍅😁✨
Oh damn! I found it!
Excellent resto, nice to see a torque wrench.
Very interesting mower, never seen one quite like that deck/blade configuration in the States. Great job as always!!
Well done. I always enjoy your restoration videos. Thank you for sharing
The quality of your photography is superb!
ive allways liked the hayter i had a couple back in the day as they say awesome job on the mower well done
Absolutely beautiful! Great work sir!, keep on doing what you do! ROLL ON!
I love a video like this without comment or lousy music❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Excellent restoration, its been really enjoyable watching you transform something that probably would have end up in the scrap yard. Merry christmas
They see me rollin', they hayterettin' - what a beauty at the end! Unrecognisable from it's sad beginning!
Beautiful work!
Very clever bloke. I enjoyed watching that and others, cheers bloke 👍👍
Who needs a stump grinder when you can have a hayterette 🤷🏽♂️ great work buddy, very clean restoration! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 and merry Christmas 🍻
Awesome restoration of this mower 🔥🔥💪🏾💪🏾
It looks and performs woderfully. If I invested that much time & effort in restoring that mower, I would have a hard time using it to cut grass. LOL Nice video!
Awesome restoration/rebuild! Great video. Thanks for sharing.
Hugely satisfying to watch your skills and eye for detail.Best on the internet.Thankyou sir from Australia.
Many thanks
That green is gorgeous
Surprised you didn't find a tarantula in there 😁 you did a awzome job on that mower 👍👍
Wow this is so awesome you are so talented 😅 😊thanks for your work on this video I hope to see more in the future
2:52 very satisfying when the water get poured. Have a very merry Christmas
Iv seen many " restorations" and not one is done properly and all the way through i see major issues with the job done. This video is a proper restoration and a very good and high standard job done. Well done and very good outcome.
This was the most exacting and thorough restorations I've seen. You knocked it out of the park on this one. It was so beautiful I don't think I could have used it as you did.
Love the videos your doing a great job!
Hayters gonna hayte. Great restoration and video.
Museum quality sir. Job well done and to your satisfaction. 👍
Excellent restoration. I like the careful methodical approach you take to your work. Merry Christmas and happy new year from the USA.
Great work! I love seeing restorals carefully done
*Well done* Daggerwin; another great *restoration* video vs those titled: "restoration" which end up being: disassemble, reassemble [w/all the same old parts], wash and paint. I really enjoy these no narration, no music, no nonsense videos. I'm a bit late to the party, but Merry CHRISTmas and Happy New Year.
Wow, that is a wonderful restoration satisfaction.
An excellent restoration ! I've never heard of this brand before. I like to pay attention to the details, and the hubcaps is a very nice feature to add the little extra. Happy new year !
Omw , this is fun. I. Learning how to do lawn mowers now. Taking them apart an cleaning repairing. This is good. I Already ❤️ knew how to to do Automobiles and now this Thank you for sharing this Video
