  • Great work! This looks like a really well built garden tractor. The deck looks strong, as well as the snow plow. It cuts great and the rear discharge is really cool don't see that feature too often over here in the states even on the older models. I'm glad you were able to save this one and get it back up and running. I know how much work this to get a project like that done. I have restored several older garden tractors over here in the states. Then to film and edit everything is a lot of work. I'm glad you were able to do that and share your process.

    • @@seanc8054 I had one on an old Gilson tractor. It had an operational rear deck. Ended up selling it to a guy who needed it for parts. Hopefully he was able to take both of them and make one work. They aren't really practical as they leave rows of grass, but if you need to collect grass (growing hay) it would be great for that.

      @cub1009@cub1009 Жыл бұрын
    • The rear discharge is common on the large mowing decks pulled behind tractors. Seen them used alot on large fields and along the highway. But yeah never seen them on a garden tractor

      @carlaskins3586@carlaskins3586 Жыл бұрын
    • Well there is a big distinction (usually) between garden tractor and riding lawn mower, since you call it the former it should be no surprise that it is 'really well built', but being 40 years old helps, as things were built much more heavy duty back then and with lots of features. Now they are mass produced junk, more or less, and disposable

      @Hjerte_Verke@Hjerte_Verke Жыл бұрын
    • @@Hjerte_Verke Modern day riding mowers that can be purchased at box stores are very cheaply made. They are disposable. They will last maybe 5 to 10 years. This one is 40 years old, and after being restored it will be around for another 40+ easily.

  • What a cool old machine. I was made to start mowing the 100 acres when I was seven years old. Steep and tall ditches, fields, yard, and pine forest with grass,….these machines take me back on a journey through life and time.
