You should play C&C Generals. It has everything you need - bio-weapons, nuclear missiles, huge thing that fires ''particle beams'' into a mirror in space which then burn stuff on the ground. And also some other more normal things - airplanes, bombers, suicide bombers, tanks with two cannons, napalm, helicopters... I think it would be great to see how you manage to eradicate infantry and civilians with all the stuff mentioned above.

Whiterun Guard NOD is also a personal favorite, since in 3 you can set up a chain aircraft with a stack of a dozen beam cannons in your base and bounce off of each unit all the way to the end of the chain and instantly destroy anything. Plus, the cannon reaches further than base defenses. Wormholes to mountains cut off from the rest of the map are also pretty fun, along with rushing fanatics into the enemy base and blowing up every bridge out of their spawn so they can’t expand.

When your partner is your own worst enemy... XD Also, I found that the best strat for the Gulag map was actually just to go headlong sprint for the end - you can actually make it before the enemies are in position to block / shoot you if you manage to go fast enough. I think best time I managed was mission finished in less than 30 seconds. Might be different when on multiplayer though when you need both players to finish.

Here's a play by play of what happened with that BTR and the predator. Vale runs at BTR. Missile flies down, blowing him and the BTR up. Mission success and failure triggers are activated, but it takes longer for the mission failed trigger to prock, meaning that, while you get the voice lines for both, the mission success trigger is actually ran, whereas the other trigger was too slow, and thus wasn't opened in time. Hooray, you are winner.

This makes me smile, I remember playing spec ops with my older bro and we were exactly like this. Bantering on as we were trying to get all 69 stars. Unfortunately we never got it and my brother passed away but watching MW2 spec ops missions never fail to fill me with the nostalgia I had when I was with him. We really bonded over this game especially trying to beat it on veteran mode. Good times..

Funny thing is... While pistol ammo can be stopped by a car or brick wall, assault rifles punch through that so there might be a dozen dead civies "off map":D And 7.62x51/54? That thing punches not only through walls, but through BUILDINGS! Of course I'm not talking about guaranteed power of each bullet, but if you had shot, that bullet is bound to hit something somewhere. [InsertMassEffectNewtonJoke]
I remember at the time of black ops/mw3 everyone was always ripping on mw2 because it was supper buggy and the devs never really fixed them

What happened on the confusing lost/won part, was probably along the lines of: Every frame the game checks for win and defeat states, being dead is a defeat, but completing all objectives is a win state. The programers must have forgotten to tell the game to stop looking for win states after a defeat and vice-versa. So even though you died and lost, you completed all the objectives before going to the main menu, so the win menu activated over the defeat menu(not literally over, over as in instead of the other menu because it had some dialogue to go through first)

Seeing how you guys play versus me going solo makes me think that if Mile High Club was a Spec-Ops mission, only co-op attempts would be possible on veteran and by that I still wouldn't succeed even though MW2 is more "forgiving" on veteran that CoD4:MW

If you pause exactly at 2:33 you can see the predator missile just inches from hitting the floor and annihilating both Valefisk and the final enemy target which was the BTR80, which was why they won in the end even though he died!

The mission success at 2:35 is because a friendly missile hits the Tank, being the last enemy and kills both it and you, but since you're farther away and the last enemy dies slightly before you do, you win, so you during editing was fully correct.

you won homeland security because when you ran up to the btr the predator drone fired a rocket 2 seconds before you died so when the rocket hit the btr the game recognized you as beating the level even tho you just died

My guess is in the game's code, it checks to see if you die and checks to see if the mission objectives complete. When it checked, the drone might have destroyed the btr first and then your death and the game read both instances. But because the mission passed first it read it as a success even though both dialogues were triggered.
I'll say it, mw2 special missions,where the shit, the fact that you can play with friends whas great cuz It brought this whole new type of game play into the game, I spent so much time of my life doing the missions trying to get the three stars with my brother

My very first nuke was extremely weird like that whole predator drone thing. I was playing 3rd person demolition on Highrise. Got my nuke and celebrating near the front window if one side. Guy comes out and headshots me with a Spas. Get this. Final kill cam.
