Big thanks again to Xtrfy and everyone for the support over the years. Stay tuned for my mouse pad coming too (also through Xtrfy).
It's been a huge learning experience but it's been awesome and can't wait for everyone to get one of these. I know it won't suit everyone, but even if it becomes a few people's main, that'll be pretty great. Otherwise, hope you like it anyway and it helps you understand what else you need to look for in your perfect mouse!
I have some crazy designs in mind so really excited to make more of these. This was my "safe" attempt, nothing too crazy for the first.
Enjoy!
I was not paid to make this video, all thoughts are my own ... but it's my mouse design so I was just explaining my thoughts behind it. I don't know if this counts as like a paid promotion or what, but for the sake of full disclosure ... I mean yeah it's mine with my name on it? :D

    • Gonna be honest, not entirely digging the ambidextrous shape, and the fact it’s a cheese grater. Dust, animal hairs and dead skin make them a pain in the ass to clean. I’ll definitely give this mouse a shot though. You plan on making a more ergonomic shape? >>No software yeah nah. I'll wait until there's software.

    • @@zync4269 Have you ever tried a mm710? Dude, you don't even notice it has a cable, the difference between those kind of cables and standart ones is so huge. I'm certain Zy ensured his mouse will have a similar one. Btw. im not even using a mouse bungee. I simply put the cable over the bent neck of the table lamp, but I also barely notice it if it simply lies on the table, as it is so leight weight - the cable and also the mouse. Zy's mouse seems to have similar weight, only 56g, which will be really good. I'm a "gamer" for over XX years now. Back in the days nearly everyone prefered clunky ergonomic shapes over simple ambidextrous mice, cause it was more comfortable, even though many pro's used the old ms-mice. That is quite similar to pro's prefering CRT-Monitors over LCD, cause the ladder can barely provide such clear motion. Then people realized how you have more control if you go "a bit less" palm when gripping and letting your fingers have more control. Just years ago people used mice that weighted more than 90-110g. It only took the last years to make clear how important light weight mice are. There is a lot of subjectivity in using your mouse, but also bad habits, using a cable is not a bad habit, if you have such a good one. People don't want to go back to cable, but there are solutions out there.

      @yosoy1loco@yosoy1loco3 жыл бұрын
    • @@yosoy1loco Can confirm, I have a mm710 and the cable is amazing at stock, that mice sadly had a lot of QC issues (mine is malfunctionating smh), but the cable is really good, I have the mouse cable taped to the bottom of the table and have it doing like a 180° angle towards me and for me it was the solution, it just feels like there's no wire.

I know you don't claim the perfect mouse, but as you continue to refine it, I hope you'll consider adding 8000Hz polling rate and removing the debounce delay via an optical switch or a software latch. Traditionally XOR or NAND latches have been used to debounce switches, but this creates a set amount of delay. Using a software latch equivalent, you can send the signal on the first registered button press while still allowing time for the vibrations to stop before sending further signals thus preventing both double clicks and increased latency. Thanks for all you do! Long time fan and aspiring electrical engineer here!

  • Thx Zy your mouse is a masterpiece! Got my copy yesterday and I’m really impressed. I used the Ultralight 2 before but your design just feels a little bit better. The rails felt odd at first but are super comfortable now and with my fingertips closer to my mousepad and the rounded rear part of the mouse, which makes adjusting with my thumb and ring finger more precise, I have a lot more control. I use both thumb buttons when playing and both are precisely reachable compared to the Ultralight where i would sometimes press both. You have guided my to a lot of great mice in the past, but your design is without a doubt the best one I used so far.

I used previously the following mice: MM710, Glorious model O-, Razer viper ultimate, Razer death adder, Zowie fk2 and Logitech g305. This one definitely feels the best for me. In short term, I can say that it really improved my aim, but I want to mention, that I have the exact measurements of Zy's hand. It feels like is crafted for my hand. I'm really grateful you made this product Zy.

  • Just got mine in the mail today, and already love it. Can hardly imagine how good it will feel when fully adjusted over time. Switching from my Viper Ultimate, which has served me well, but has a few quirks that I wasn’t fond of. Side buttons were always a little too small and squishy feeling for me, and my grip seemed to change a bit between relaxed fingertip and claw palm. Right off the bat, MZ1’s comfort grooves feel right at home, side buttons are larger and feel crisp, clicks are super satisfying, and doesn’t seem to creak like my Viper does. Filled in sections of plastic mostly line up with my grip, though my ring and pinky fingers are a little further forward on the right side. The big bump at the rear sits perfectly under my index and middle knuckles. Scroll wheel (which I use extensively, including scroll wheel click) feels tactile and intentional in use. While I do wish there were a wireless version, a cable is a small trade off for a mouse that feels perfect to me in every other way. Thanks for making such a kickass mouse!

  • Got mine a few weeks ago and already I am in love. Never felt this good with a mouse since I a Zowie EC1 back when I used to palm grip mice. This has the same great comfort and gives me the same confidence in my aim while being providing the additional range of movement of fingertip grip. It probably hugely benefits that I have hands the same size as Zy, as the first time I picked up the mouse my hand naturally sat exactly where the smooth sections of the mouse where (i have obviously got the same grip style as zy) I even forget the mouse has holes most of the time. This is a great mouse, I really hope it does well and more manufacturers pick up this shape. Good work Zy and Ztrfy! If you like fingertip/claw and have similar size hand to zy i cant recommend this enough.
