Finding the right mouse can be hard. If you want to aim your best, I recommend looking for one that's just under about 60% of your hand measurements. You can get suggestions from the mouse search on my website.
Gaming mice are so good technically now it's pretty much all about shape, weight and cable. As always, shape is king. So use the search to find a mouse in your size range, watch the review, see if it suits you!

The first search I had on my website was really basic, this is pretty advanced by comparison, but not super advanced. The reason I wanted this search fairly basic still is I don't want to confuse people. I might add an advanced search later for the super serious gamers who know exactly what dimensions and features they want. At least this way it keeps it pretty general and shouldn't scare new viewers away with crazy specifics. It's meant to be a starting point to give some suggestions. Obviously if you know you can go smaller, you're probably better off putting in a smaller hand size to get the list of mice available. Or just search with higher leniency and arrange by size to see the smallest. Hope it helps. Will be adding more mice soon. Good luck finding the right mouse for you!
Brilliant
If you continue to review and get your website as a standard point for people looking for mice(which i think u will) you are going to get big.
I'd recommend either linking to this video or having pictures of grip types for reference when people are searching through the database. Also I know I've mentioned this from time to time on your videos, but a focus on 1-3-1 grip. I know we are in the minority but it's not 0. If you jotted notes on mice that would be particularly good for 1-3-1 and added this into the search it would help people like me. Most notable would be a good groove on the right side for the pinky finger to fit under, making it slightly easier to lift the mouse with just your thumb and pinky. Something like the MX518 or updated versions have this for example and I know you've said many times that it's too big and heavy, etc, but for 1-3-1 it ends up being quite nice because of the shape. I'm attempting to switch to the model 0 and it's ok but it will probably never feel quite right because of it's ambidextrous shape, lacking the groove for the pinky finger. It's just relatively easy to pick up because of how much lighter it is. Hope you find that feedback helpful!
OH! And one more suggestion. Lift Off Distance preference! Another reason I'm having a hard time moving on from the ORIGINAL MX518 is because its LOD was so much higher than mice these days and (again in the minority) I really like that! The model 0 adjusts up to 3mm so it's relatively ok, but nowhere near the original, and the updated versions of the MX518 are actually really LOW LOD. Lower than the Model 0 from what I can tell, so it's really disappointing when I bought the updated versions. So another feature that would be really helpful!
Nice! Bug report: sort by weight not doing natural sort order - it always places 100+ g first

I wonder if we can get it stickied on like r/buildapc and buildapcsales. This is the kind of info people need.
@@lcplPoop True. Most people just buy any mouse at all and call it a day. Thats fine, but there are a lot of competitive players which do the same thing. Obviously not ideal
I just ran this program and I got the mouse I already have 😂

damn lmao i did it and got some heavy ass chunky mice and i daily a viper lmao
I got the g305 because i ticked the wireless option, removing that gave me g102 which I've daily-ed for almost a year noe
same here, I got the MM710
I got finalmouse ultralight 2
Nice to see your updating the search function, this will certainly help people narrow the mice down to focus on 👌.
*you're
that first shot of all the mice are so F'ing epic !! Thanks for the informative video man, love the content keep it up !
This is actually so great. Even small details, like explaining during a few seconds what grip styles is each hump position best for, is huge for someone like me who tries to make the best guess possible on choosing a mice from themselves, just by watching reviews and reading info. I chose my new mouse a month ago, so too late for me on this one :c I have done that by re-watching maybe 20hours of your reviews and going through your website list a hundred times, and eventually went for the EC1 (I even left a too-big personnal review comment on the latest EC divina video), info like those and even the search tool would have been great for me back then, so I'm really happy you made this, it's of great use for the community !
also just pointing out than when you arrange the list by the weight, it breaks at 100g ! Which means it breaks the list in two, one part for under 100g and another for above 100g e.g. 99-97-80-130-110-100
Ive been waiting for this all year YESSSSSSS
I was waiting this for sooooo long ! Thank you
Thanks for all your hard work over the years!
I want to thank you Zy you helped me so much to find the best mouse. Your reviews are very useful and complete. Greetings from France you do a great job.
I'm going from a Rival 500 to a Razer Viper, thanks for your review and your website !
You put so much effort into your videos man, your response to my comment 2 years ago gave me a mouse that I still use today and I still love it :D
Always great to hear, thanks!
Love it helping me and others find a better mouse. :) Can't wait for the advanced search!
Thank you a lot. So much work done, it deserves respect. Keep on going !
What a wonderful work man! Got a sub!
Just used your UK Amazon affiliate link. You’ve helped me a lot, not just with what mice I should use, but in life. Thank you, Zy.
I've been eyeing the model o-after seeing we have comparable hand sizes and you enjoy using it I also use a similar grip and I opened your site and it was the 2nd top recommendation for me I appreciate all you do and this was so helpful I cant thank you enough
Nice work! Thank you very much for your highly informative content! Thanks to this I now own a Logitech G Pro Wireless and it was an eye-opener coming from Roccat Kone+ with extra weights in it.
Amazing! Thanks for this, I've already bought mice via your suggestion before, but this will help me dial down the specifics. I am a palm grip, so far the DeathAdder is the winner, going to try this out and see what you recommend. Thx again, awesome content.
really miss these reviews man, so many mice coming out
Wow, the 60% rule is really true! I've just seen the video and measured my mice, the only ones I've always found comfortable during the years are the ones which are proportionate to my hand on a precise 60 percentage! I thank you for the quick video, I hate when videos are stretched out to annoy people Keep it up!
his website is great . thanks for your time bro . really appreciated
Just checked out the new website features and it seems pretty sick! Cheers for doing god's work!!
Awesome as always
Just want to say i'm glad this exists. Used this guide and your site to buy a G703 a year or so ago and love the mouse, but in that time the scroll wheel has started to fail, so i'm using this once again to find something that will hopefully be more reliable.
This is sooooo useful, thank you for making this wonder machine
Waiting for this since I found your KZhead last year
Setting up a way for other people to update the list with mice not on it along with its dimensions would be really useful even if there isn't a review to accompany it yet. Would obviously need some quality control, but this could become a massive database.
I just bought the deathadder v2 based on your reviews and website. Thanks bro
How do you like it
@@michaell6892 love it. I have relatively large hands and it fits perfect. Also the cable feels like nothing
His mouse collection costs more than most setups overall.
Hey Zy I know you probably won’t see this but I love your channel and you have helped me decide what mouse to buy after my g pro broke. I used your website and do feel like the viper suits me better thanks for helping me and many others with what you do.
I have the exact measurements as you! I just ordered an mz1 I can't wait to see how it will fit my hand
Omg thank you, its finally done
Every esports org and mice manufacturer should recommend this. Keep it up. 2020 will be the best year for you m8.
Dan It would be good for esports orgs to recommend however, if they’re sponsored or mouse manufacturers themselves they’re going to recommend their own products.
Great video zy! I agreed with all your points
This is a great video and a great idea to have this search function so you can quickly find the mouse that is right for you
Never said it going to now, I love the vids. You seem to be sooo sympathetic just keep it up man Used the calculator and it turned out I allready have the right mouse (Ultralight 2) Sorry for my english im german :D
lol...unfortunately there's no mouse in the database that fits my hand. I knew it. My hands were supposed to be shovels. I'm a freak.
are u the guy from phineas and ferb?
y o dude don't put yourself down like that, shovel bearers get mad pussy
So I'm not the only one that has issues finding a mouse
Really good tool the website, but I suggest photos of each mouse to compare shape and height, that would be awesome and the perfect final tool to search for the perfect mouse. Aniways awesome job as always.
How can i thank you for all this amazing work? You're amazing man.
You already have by watching and commenting! Thanks!
I'm really stuck between the Razer Deathadder V2 and Glorious Model D. Good size for my hands without being too heavy like some other mice that were technically better for my hand size and grip style. I have a Deathadder Elite currently (left grip came off and the RMB doesn't always work, also a little bit heavy towards the back for my liking.)
The best method still is to go in a store and touch some mice to see which feels most comfortable. However manufacturers like Zowie, Glorious etc. often can't be found in a store. But when I touched some Logitech or Razer mice in the store, I had an idea of which sizes and shapes suit best and then could look online for similar models and sizes from other brands.
Yup. NGL the website is flawless but seeing too many options is confusing
I followed your guide a while ago, and bought the GMO-. I believe it's almost perfect, but my grip is odd. It's kind of like a fingertip/claw hybrid. So I bought the MM710, which I found was awful. The hump forces your hand into an awkward position, unless you're a palm grip. Though, palm grip, as stared in the video probably isn't good for aim, only comfort. Low mice are always better in my opinion, and lowish buttons are also good. You wouldn't hold a pencil by the middle or near the rubber tip. I also like ambidextrous mice as they seem more balanced. I went immediately back to the GMO- and am now just wishing that they had an even smaller version available.
Amazing stuff!
Man I got recommended 2/3 mice I was looking to buy that I thought were good for me. This site is so bloody good.
great video man thanks
A very useful tool ,what I would consider could be better are the info in the results. It would be also useful to include a column with alocated grades for build quality and in game performance. Congrats!
RocketJumpNinja = Mouse God literally the answer to any mouse related questions
I used to let RJN get in my head about "small is better" and I had a bad time with my Model O- so I think weight and shape are much more important than size. Switched for Model D and am much happier now.
Classic case proven - size matters.
It's just about preference. You can use this tool only as a rough guideline. This tool recommends me Finalmouse Ultralight 2 and MM710. But I have no problem switching between G Pro W and MM710.
Perfect timing! My old trusty g700s finnaly died. This will help narrow down what I'm looking for.
Great website 👍 With good and trust-worthy reviews 👌
This is brilliant! Did you develop this by yourself?
me: i want a new mouse but dont know how to chose rocket jump ninja: i got you fam
Went to the website everyday to see the "advanced mouse search" section being developed. Finally paid off :')
This video is very informative and accurate. Similar to what you said, it all comes down to comfort. I find that I play better with the Death Adder V2 Pro. I tried using the Logitech G Pro x Superlight and the Razer Viper Mini; they just don't seem to suit me because I have large hands and I didn't like the shape of either of them. I'll use your website and affiliate links when I make my next purchase. Thank you for making great guides.
Yesss, the new website is here!!!!!
Nice! But one issue was when sorting by weight it was sorting alphabetically rather that lowest to highest number, so it showed 100g then 50 then 60 so the 'highest' was 99
I have pretty small hands and only tiny mice are recommended for me yet its always really large mice (Mamba for example) that feels comfortable in my opinion. I'm currently using a Basilisk and even that one feels too small for me, at the point where I only can fingertip grip it to make it comfortable
You don't have small hands
21cm long, 12cm wide, palm/claw or claw(depends, i tend to change it) grip.. pretty much only mouse for me has been the Logitech mx518 model so i was happy to see they made the legendary edition, also been using that same model since the mx500 ages, so about 20years.
I'm conflicted. If I look at my hand size and previous experience with other mice, I know a small mouse like the Viper Mini would be great for me. But I also pretty much stopped playing shooters.. When I still play them it's just casual. So now I don't know if I should still look at buying a mouse the same way as before or just go with a more comfortable mouse like a G502 or Basilisk. Your website works great and it gave me some suggestions I didn't even know could work for me or existed in the first place so thanks for that.
Hey you should have a ego mouse for simple task, also im pretty sure you will comback to fps sooner or later
Any thoughts on the SteelSeries Rival 3? The release was probably kind of overshadowed by the Sensei Ten, which is sort of a pointless re-release as you already talked about, but the 3 is actually something different. It's like they decided to make an FK2 clone, but actually make the improvements everyone asks for (better wheel, separate buttons with better switches, programmable, etc.) that Zowie themselves can't be arsed with. I bought one just for a laugh, but was very pleasantly surprised. Coming from the FK2, it really just felt like a straight upgrade, at least to me.
you should add the type of mouse (ergo or ambi), either way brilliant video and website
even though i got the model o thanks to your review, it still shows on the search bar, along with my g403 (still the best but it is heavy) and g102 if i play in public cafes
Honestly, I went with the Razer Basilisk v2 and I love it
Hi man! Really good video. Could I ask you what is the mouse you show at 3:29 ?
Holy shit i never thought getting a better mouse would improve my aim as much as it did, i've been hitting high scores on aimlab and clicking heads in CS like crazy. I have been using a deathadder since 2013. I upgraded my deathadder 2013 to a deathadder chroma when that came out, and then my deathadder chroma broke so I got a deathadder elite. All of those mice were too big for me, and also weighed too much. I just didn't know it at the time. I sort of realized this about a year or two ago whenever I came across your channel, and I tried getting a new mouse, and I don't remember exactly what mice I tried, but I bought 2 smaller, lighter mice and one of them was a zowie fk2 I believe. Neither mice felt good to me, and i was aiming worse with them, and honestly I just thought that the deathadder was as good as it was going to get. I came to this video more recently, and I did what the video said and took my hand measurements and stuff, and this time I was recommended a FinalMouse starlight as #1 and the razer viper mini as #2. The finalmouse is being scalped, and it's selling for like $300 on ebay, so i couldn't get my hands on it. But then I saw the price of the razer viper mini -- $40 msrp, a great deal. Then I went to amazon, and it was on sale for $25. Honestly i was kinda worried because of how little I paid for this mouse, but it came and I instantly fell in love with it and i've been aiming better, and I didn't even have to get used to it or anything, it was immediately almost perfect. The 50 gram weight difference is huge, I never thought going from a 110g mouse to a 60g mouse would be a big deal, but WOW it made me realize how heavy the deathadder was. I can't believe I got a gaming mouse this good for only $25, I was always under the impression that you had to pay $100+ if you wanted a decent mouse at all, but I really love the razer viper mini and I think i'll stick with this mouse for a long time. Maybe someday in the future, if I can find it on sale once the hype has died down or something, I'll try a finalmouse, but for now I'm really happy with this and I think i'll stick with it for years just like with the deathadder.
Let me just say that I appreciate the time you took to lay out all of those mice just to establish that shot.
Those are just the boxes and he’s showed that pile before he slowly adds it one at a time over 4 years
@@jakeman025 so your saying that he leaves those boxes laid out like that in his house all the time just because? Ya I dont think so.
Holy shiat, that is so useful, well done mate
Just found the perfect mouse for me: which is M42 RGB. Best one for me since i am a claw palm type with around W 2.25 in (Grip width). Now hopefully there will be a black Friday or cyber Monday sale for it😅.
i have been watching your videos for a long time and they have helped me alot. Im trying to practice my aim almost every day playing kovaaks for 30minutes/day i have now 40 hours in kovaaks. Im top 30 in tracking and i could get better at it but my hand starts kinda like tremble/shake and thats why im not getting the best results i could get so do you know how i could kinda fix my hand or like idk my mouse grip is claw/fingertip:)
Based on my measurements your sites top recommendation is a Deathadder V2 for fingertip grip. It’s what I normally use anyway. So next mouse I’ll be buying is the DAV3. 😅 Glad to know I’ve been picking the right mice all along.
would you consider your aim to be crispy??? i personally am using a superlight and havent yet tried measuring my hand to see exact proportions and i myself am wondering if the top line superlight is the play or will i actually benefit more from shape and feel?
Dang, I just bought Model O- 2 days back after searching through your videos about hand size etc. and lmao I missed this one. I bought Model O- the same day you posted this vid. Unlucky me.
0:40 thats actually 9.5 (from what i see on the ruller)
Amazing Job! Tanks
I am curious, but if you had to put previous finalmouse mice in your list (phantom, cherry blossom), how would they do against other mice? And why don't you add them to your mice list on your website if the ultralight 2 is there? I know you do it based on availability, but the ultralight 2 isn't available
Thanks RJN
i got 20cm by 10.5cm hands, and i use a glorious model o- 😅 i use finger tip grip and have no cramping or anything. with your calculator i get pretty big mice as recommendations. i think with finger tip grip it doesnt even really matter how big your hands are. since you're just using your finger tips and not your palm. thanks for all the work you put in your videos and everything! you're great!
did this and it came up with the exact mouse i was already thinking on getting
thanks for the helpful video
I've found a comfy mouse, but I wanted to see if your site could find a mouse for me with my freak had size. It kept saying there was no mouse that fit me 😂 not surprised. I'm 19cm by 12.75cm. love what you have done for the community ❤️
Sensors can matter because of LOD. For example the Rival 3 would be really good mouse for me, but the 4 DVD LOD kills it absolutely.
Hello! I watched all your video and i love your work! I have just one question, in website the tool “find a mouse” suggest me mouse very heavy like Corsair m65/roccat kone but i would like a lighter mouse and small, because it is better to aim (as you always said ) My hands measure 20x11cm fingertip. Im currently using viper but for long period my hands get fatigue and sometimes my ring finger stuck on the rmb. What is your advice? Ps: Im thinking to try mm710 or g pro wireless i already tested xm1 and glorious o but viper feel better. Sorry for my english, Great work Greetings from Sicily - Italy
Mice are an expensive investment. It took me awhile to find a mouse but I'm using the Deathadder V2 even though I have 17 CM of hand length. The reason I'm not using a smaller mouse is that the deathadder shape is comfortable for me at least. I'm able to grip it very well surprisingly.
On very low leniency the MZ1 is the only one there for my measurements. You drive a hard bargain Zy but I guess I gotta buy it!
Well done !
thanks man
Heavier weight will indeed steady your aim. Long as you're an actual high-sensitivity user. Same with more friction on a mouse pad, helps a high-sensitivity user. Just think about it... Makes 100% sense. Then low weight for low-sensitivity user, less friction better slicker skates. In end its a preference thing. But without preference, what I said makes the most sense. Thats my only real negative I have with you. Is at times, you seem to base the guideline according to your usage. Still my number one stop for a mouse review, hands down.
I disagree. I'm a high sensitivity player and use low weight mouse and MP510 mousepad. I don't overshoot and can make micro-adjustments with no problems.
I have the g102/g103 back at home and it does fit me perfectly well. I don't get strains or any complaints of the sort. Might just get the g304/g305 for that wireless functionality.
My favourite mouse is Aorus M2. The shape and feel is the best for me.
After watching all your reviews I picked roccat kone pure ultra. Smaller and ligher than my previous g502 but i love it. I have big hands around 19.5cm but it's kinda good for me.
Running a G502 now and used a Kone before and for my giant paws both are basically fingertip mice.
Man I wish I had someone to chat with about this stuff, I have a few idiosyncrasies that don't seem to fit what most gamers say about mice. I've been using a smaller/lighter mouse and I definitely get the hand cramp thing you're talking about... while the larger mouse with more weight was less influenced by clicks (clicking seems to throw off the cursor when moving quickly) so I've found that with my lighter/smaller mouse I am pressing it hard into the mousepad to gain more consistency. I felt like going from a cheap big mouse, years ago, to a nice lightweight small mouse has actually made my play worse, and I've been thinking of just going back to the cheap one... if I could find the body style of the cheap one with a better sensor I'd probably pick that up, but might end up having to test out 10 different mice.
You are the only KZheadr that I trust.
Aww
Why is it I get bigger ergo mice when I'm 19x10 and use pure fingertip. Even in the video, it says smaller mice work better. This is so true, especially for ftip. What am I missing? I mean, G703, Zowie EC1, FK1 and so on.. Luckily I know a thing or two about mice, but this could be very misleading for new people.
Been Looking at the G-Wolve Hati, didn't see a review by you for it. Wanted to know if you have looked at it. Curious to your thoughts.
Hello, could you say which mouse should i choose? Deathadder v2 or rival 600? Deathadder convinced me more, but I want to know things before I spend money :D For now i own DM1 pro S with Pixart 3360. I have had an opportunity to hold deathadder elite and it was gorgeously comfortable.
I just wanted to see if my current mouse was a good fit for me. I tried your website selector, and my current mouse was one of the two on very low leniency (G403 and 703).
I know this is a long shot, but is there any way you could make a video on how to force yourself over to Fingertip grip? Just asking, since you say it's normally better for overall aim to have this grip style and use smaller mice. Background of the idea: I was fingertip when I first started playing FPS games. Then I randomly swapped over to Palm grip, I think when I picked up my first Zowie mouse. Now, I'm into a Claw Palm, like you mention in this video, and am running the G-Wolves Skoll Ergonomic mouse. So I obviously can't switch over to fingertip grip with a mouse that literally forces either palm or claw palm. Just wondering, much love from the Midwest of the US!
i guess most smallest hands ever i have 17cm x 8,3cm and i cant find some mice from your calculator. I think mice height is so important, i try cooler master mm710 before. its so uncomfortable for me. İts press to mid point on my hand. My tip style is fingertip and claw mix. U use some basic amateur laptop mices but they dont have good optic sensors and dont have extra 2 buttons for leftside and its a poblem for me. Do you have any suggestions for me?
