DON'T Buy A New Mouse Without Watching This Video!
This video is intended for newcomers that are wanting to join the promised land of high performance gaming mice. I don't want to see comments like "wahh wahh this is wrong" etc. I'm trying keep this as simple as possible. I could have gone in to much further detail (which I did but it got cut) but then the video would have been like 20+ minutes long and then everyone would have gotten bored with it. And besides, the less people using a G502 for long hour gaming the better. In 15 years time I expect you to come back to this video and say thank you for saving your wrist and fingers from long term ligament damage. You're welcome. Also like and subscribe. @@ag2952 I bought it a week ago and I can say it is great and if you like to have a lot of buttons it could be a perfect option for you, I have used ryzer and other common brands (super light 60gr or more and just normal types of mouse) and so far in my opinion it is the best, of course the price is no reasonable at all but that is the only bad thing I can say about it
Great video as always, but I would like to add one thing: polling stability. Sensor matters very very little ever since 3310 (yes, i know, i know all about the error calculation, response rate blah blah- frankly, even the Avago 3050 sensor is also good enough for competitive fps gaming). What matters way more is the polling stability, motion latency and click latency. Roccat, Steelseries, MSI Clutch series, and many lesser mice had been tested with horrendous polling stability and motion latency. Even the new released GPX2 was tested with some variation of polling instability. Lamzu, Coolermaster, Vaxee, Zowie, Razer, Logitech, Corsair and even some smaller Chinese companies has been releasing with very good performing specs.
I'm not sure how you can say polling stability and latency matter when sensors don't. All of them are good enough on modern mice that there isn't all that much difference in game.

I find 3D printing mice from Printables gets you 90% of the mouse feel and if you are new to mice, gets you an idea of what mouse shapes feel comfortable.
Good idea, I'll save money on testing out mice by buying a 3d printer! ;)
@@BiRmOoN still cheaper by having a professional print it for u
One thing on the wireless mouse tip you mentioned the only issue you will have now is to remember to charge the battery, not true in my case and I can imagine others as well. I had a Ninjutso Sora 4k. Because these mice still use 2.4ghz, (should be switching to something different at this point.) You can have a potential issue if your using wifi bands on the same frequency. I have wifi 6e on one pc in my office and another hard wired. If al ot of data or traffic is passed through that band my wireless mice are practically worthless as they lag, skip and just flat out make for an unusable experience. Also tested this with a wireless Pulsar mouse, same issue. As soon as I plugged them into their cables, issue gone. I do have my router close by the mouse receiver as my current setup leaves me no choice but to put the eeros 6 pro on the computer desk with the 4k dongle close by. Perhaps proximity is the issue nonetheless its an issue with wireless.
stop mocking G502, please.
Lol why
coz thats a great mouse, Its amazing especially for work@@13_faces
@@13_faces I'm very curious about what it is specifically about the G502 that also doesn't apply to *all* Logitech mice? I had a G903 for a week and had to return it because it double clicked. I wish Logitech would release a vertical gaming mouse with good specs for those who have had wrist injuries. This is a great video!
Dude the timing on this was insane i literally just started watching ur vids like 12 hrs ago 😭
Logitech need to refresh a 403/703 with updated specs and without the rubber. It's the only mouse I want. Nothing else has ever come close to it's comfort.
Someday; I had preordered the sprime PM1 but canceled it. It’s a GPX sized G703 shape not an actually 1-1.
@@VanWapiti such a shame! I'd gladly take a true 403/703 knock off! :D
I like the rubber actually, made it feel premium even more than a good coating
I currently have my G703 on RMA because the mouse wheel stopped working. Assuming that I am given the option of a refund vs. a new one, I will choose a new one. I usually avoid doing that, for instance, I had an ussye Logitech G512 which seems to be pretty common (keycaps peeling off after a couple of months of use) so I ended up getting a refund and buying something else because I would probably end up with the same problem a couple of months later. However, in the case of the G703, I just don't know what else can I get that is at least as good (and the problem doesn't seem to be as prevalent as with the keycaps I mentioned). Especially since I bought it on sale for 40€ and it is virtually impossible to buy something on par with the G703 for that price these days. Even if I bump it up to 80~100€, I am not sure if there is something that is objectively better.
@@pedroalbuquerquebs yeah I haven’t had double clicking but the scroll wheel goes bad on the g703. I’ve had a few crap out and I just get another.
very very solid video. thanks a lot mate
I really like the G502 X Plus because the shape and easy acess to side button. One contra is his weight 😊
Unless you're playing FPS, it's optimally weighted. Although the shape is worse than the original.
I've tried over 15 different mice shapes until I found shap that doesn't cause major issues with comfort and control but now I know almost exactly what I want from a mouse shape and by just looking at renders and dimensions I can tell if mouse can be ok or I should avoid it.
3:23 Brought me straight back to Legolands's laser-raiders, man, good times

I got the Lamzu thorn when they came out with the fnatic addition and its been my favorite mouse for a long time. I loved Zowie EC2's shape and its the first lightweight wireless mouse ive found that reminds me of it while having great performance and not breaking the bank
I'm looking for a wireless mouse that has charging dock... Is the Viper Ultimate still the ultimate (pun intended) choice in this case? Costs around 115 euros new. G703 is cheaper at around 85, but charging dock will cost roughly 30-ish. G Pro Superlight is super expensive
can u do a video on budget mouses that have great sensors /dpi mode since i have been using the hyper x pulsefire haste and its a really cannot go back to like the g402 or even steelsiers rival 3 since there feels like theres a delay when gaming im a compettitive fortnite player triyng to look for the best budget performance any ideas i dont have 160 to spend on the logtriech super light but maybe the version before it i use all mouse grips by the way so it dosent matter what mouse it is sorry that this comment has a lot of speling issues im on top of a mountain right now just watched the video and have some questions before they go out of my head
to be completely honest, if you're comfortable enough with wired. Sensors nowadays are all very very good and the 4k and 8k implementations hardly have any impact besides 360hz monitors, especially in games where static clicking is the most common. Ended up time and time just going back to the xm1r, premium build and the best coating by far.
Xm1r is an incredible mouse. I paid like 50€ for it and its performance is amazing and zero flaws. Not like my RV2P which has the dreaded scroll wheel issues
The xm1r just sticks on the hand seamlessly, such a good shape
That mouse is goated

Idk i kind of liked the glossy mice. They actually had good grip and it was easy to clean
Oddly enough, the Viper V2 pro really is the closest to a perfect mouse i can find right now. I used the g703 for years but wanted something flatter and lighter for fast-paced arm aim. I wish they had kept the original Deathadder shape for the V3 pro. Viper V2 is really comfortable for aggressive pincer claw.

average g502 enjoyer here. 7 years and still running. replace the mice feet and keep rolling. I might need some grip tape soon because the buttons are getting shiny and slick. I may pick up a g502x... I really like and use the extra buttons in every game I play.
Same, but I'm unironically looking for a lighter version of the G502 hero. Plz lmk if any mouse has a similar amount of buttons.

I mean you can feel a difference in 4/8k on a 5k rig with 480+fps if you can sustain that fps^^. It is but then so margial that it really does not matter much if compared to 1k. The benefit of lower latency is also mostly irrelevent especialy when you get better latency by an optimised 1k conection than the standard 4/8k one. You would get better latency with 4/8k if optimised but then again it uses so much more battery for a few micro seconds which really do not mater. So 1k, maybe 2k, if you are fancy is a sweet spot right now.
My dad bought a razer naga trinity a few years back for his pc and my hand fit it perfectly. Now I have my own and I love the thing to death, wouldn't trade it for anything.
I just bought a thorn Arriving in a few days Hope it feels better then my g502
My gpx is done after just 1 year and a half. The sensor makes my pointer go crazy and makes my in game camera go really fast in circle and my backwards button now double clicks. Most likely will switch to a deathadder v3 pro or glorious model d pro 2
Hello love your vids
the worst experience that i have with my current mouse is that my pinky finger get's wedged under the right bottom edge of my (redragon) mouse. most game mouse have the design for gripping on both sides, and some have additional extension to rest the thumb. but i don't think there is a mouse that has a part that can rest the pinky finger to avoid it getting wedged under, especially when being aggressive during games.
I like the zowie cw3ec3 or you know, only 3s wired. Light and my grips fits. I used death adders for a long since the first one came, it is decent but its a bigger one. Then I got razer basilisk v3 x hyperspeed for around 60 euro, wireless but 106gram with battery and the weight is strangely distributed IMO and then the right side doesn't really fit pinky and ringfinger, last is scrollwheel isn't great. With that said it definitely isn't bad, just a couple things that's wrong. I'm looking for the same kind of shape but what it would need is higher right side until you reach the button, lighter is a bonus but I've read about aaa adapter for aa size and lithium ones. Would love one/two buttons on the left upper side of left button. The thumbrest thing is great for not touching mousepad. Better scroll possibly tilt clicks. I know I'm pretty much describing one of the Logitech 502 but is the none lightweight with extra buttons and wireless that bad? Which ones are otherwise close to basilisk v3 x hyperspeed wireless or more hopefully the g502 one? What you pay in the us,$100 will most likely become close to $150 here, just 25% added tax here in Sweden to start with. I so wish the basilisk had that right button higher for finger space and the left side left button x2 extra buttons like 502. I really can't feel ok even at a discounted price keep the basilisk since it's hard to claw and palm and I don't have big hands even it's that bad. Size wise it is just longer buttons vs my wired mouse and ofc it's zowie ec3 so it has high sides and 70 something gram i think. 85 would a dream wireless with my specific wants and needs but 105 with aa bat I can deal with or fix. Liked the vid however I didn't get the impression that the only one I've seen that is shape wise better vs basilisk v3 x hyperspeed is one of the 502 ones. :/ What's my options now tho? No extra 2 left side left buttons aren't a deal breaker if it got most or all the other things.

Im still in love with my mouse Logitech G502 had this one for mannnyyyy years now
I actually used a mouse for 3 years now that did just cost me around €50. That is the longest a mouse lasted for me. But sadly the mouse wheel click just broke, so I need to look for a new one. Which is so complicated, or I would just buy the same one again. (It was the Corsair Gaming Sabre RGB Pro)
I really don't understand the targeted hate on the G502. Anything bad about it could be said about all Logitech mice. But their latest have optical switches so the double click plague is probably over now. My current daily is a G502 Lightspeed and it's great, once you get used to hyperscroll I can't live without it. My receiver is plugged in directly and I get zero interference. The switches did start double clicking after 18 months but I replaced them with Kailh GM 2.0 Teals. I have esports Tiger ICE feet and BT.L grips. Sure, it's not the lightest mouse but it doesn't bother me at all. The only issue now is, and this applies to all mice, I am getting RSI from forearm pronation. So I'll be looking at modding the mouse to be more vertical with a 3D printer. Either replacing the bottom case or a wedge insert. Unless a decent vertical mouse comes with Hyperscroll. G Hub on the other hand is a flaming pile of rotten garbage and I'd LOVE to be rid of it ASAP! Same for pretty much all control software.
The hate for it is the weight, the shape, and the price.
You could get rid of G Hub with the Logitech Onboard Memory Manager if I‘m not mistaken. Most if not all settings can be changed in there as well.

Everybody talking about g703 superlight while I’m over here begging for a g903 reasonablylight with 4k polling and optical switches.
I found that shape pretty comfortable when I held it. I don’t like all the extra buttons personally. I do hope Logitech doesn’t get rid of the DPI button on the g703 though.
i'm about to buy a VXE R1, seen enough reviews and im gonna risk, ill update when i get it.
I use g502 wired back in 2017, accidentally spilled my drink over it and change to a g502 clone for "temporary" mouse, ended up using it for 2 years till the scroll wheel break couple weeks ago LOL. I planning get a g304 since viper mini is discontinued.. Only if they have g502 superlight coz i really like the shape of it.
My first mouse was g502 and for me its pretty cool mouse with no problem i have been using for 5 years and i changed for a another g502
The first mouse I got is actually Logitech G502, and I wouldn’t say it’s the most worst mouse ever. But, It’s very very bad for gaming and I really not recommend to use it for gaming. My biggest issue I have with it is how incredibly sensitive the scroll wheel is, like even with the slightly movement or placing the mouse down while gaming, it’ll make the scroll wheel move and it will messed up with your experience. For me, there’s another use for it and I’ll just use it for Blender. Mainly, because of the extra buttons and such. I am looking into Logitech G203 for gaming only, because I find the shape appealing and how light is it than G502 (Yes, you can control the weight of it but it’s still a bit heavy regardless), but I’ll keep on doing more research before I deciding choosing it or not.
I guess i buck the trend. I like heavy mice. Im a big guy so any too light just doesn't give me that satisfying feedback.
I got my Logitech G Pro on a sale for 99 and it also came with their Mouse Pouch! I’ve tried multiple mice but every time I came back to the G Pro. I’d recommend it to anyone as it’s probably the last mouse you’ll ever buy.
hey man you should’ve just gotten a superlight
@@juplex6866 feature-wise, the G Pro is much superior. When I bought it I initially wanted to go with the superlight, until comparing the 2
Superlight2 is gpro but lighter and better in every way Literally no point buying any logitech mice other than superlight because all other logitech mice have double click issues (including superlight 1) which superlight 2 doesn't as it has optical switches
I bought a Ninjutso Sora 4K at the start of Q3 of 2023 and after a few months, I bought a Steelseries Prime Mini Wireless up to this date. In terms of hardware, it's a downgrade for sure. And the software of Steelseries was too much of a clutter, but what made me decide to buy the Prime Mini Wireless was the build quality and the shape (both categories play a big role when I chose this, especially the shape). In terms of everyday use and performance in game, the Sora 4K is ahead, but not to the point that it will affect your games. I guess in the end, it's personal preference. (Note: I got the Steelseries Prime Mini Wireless for US$62 / CA$83)
The best looking Holly around.

a lot of people who want heavier mice think they want those mice because of the friction; to this I say you should swap your mousepad. lighter is always better, not because of friction necessarily, but because of inertia, which will always, always, work against your movements. there is not a single case in which inertia will help you control your mouse.
