What if I told you a mouse was designed by a youtuber? Probably just a cash grab, right? But what if I told you that KZheadr built their channel on reviewing mice, has over 250 gaming mice in his house, 150 mouse reviews on the channel, and over 22 years' experience in first person shooters? I had creaking on my model and I wish the sensor was a tiny bit more forward. I wish they had a bigger version as well. But I have loved using the MZ1 it’s so unique it’s kinda just fun to use

i'll be curious to see what an rgb-less and wireless version of this mouse will come out price wise (seeing rjn comments on other reviews makes it seem like it'll happen if the mz1 is successful). I have smaller hands and this is probably the best shape i've ever used, to the point I am using it over the gpx superlight at the moment. the clicks are also as good as you mentioned in the review
I don't know what type of thumbnail I expected but boardzy you always seem to surprise me.
For anyone wondering the rgb adds 4 grams of weight so without the rgb and the defuser the mouse weighes 56g
I also have the slight creaking on right side of my MZ1, hopefully they resolve that QC issue on future batches

I saw RJN mention on another video that the weight distribution was made so it's most heavy where you actually grip the mice. Hence why it doesn't seem perfectly weight distributed.
If that’s the case I wonder why he didn’t go for a more forward sensor position for the same reason, but that makes sense ty for mentioning

when I first saw your videos I didn't really like them because, compared to other reviewers, you were way more harsh with the critiques, but then I realized that's what a good reviewer is supposed to do, and that you're just brutally honest, and for some reason in this review I noticed it more than the usual: you pointed out both the good and the bad of this mouse, explained when someone should buy this or not, and this felt...less unbiased compared to every other review of this mouse I've seen so far Keep going, love your vids :)

This is a fantastic mouse, I eventually got the XM1r by Endgame because I fancied a change and that mouse is also seriously good but I've heard Xtrfy have released a wireless version of the MZ1 which is insanely tempting lmfao
that mouse reminds me of the old abyssus shapes where the hump would just rest on your palm
Didn’t last long, after 4 months I’m getting disconnections, maybe a loose wire, I have small hands and found I would get hand cramps after a good gaming session, so back to using my Zowie but it feels very slow now so ordered another g305 as the last one got launched across the room while playing days gone on hard mode 🤦♂️, has been the best mouse for my tiny lady hands so far.
Totally a mouse addict... Think I am going to main the MZ1 to give a run for a few months. Have been enjoying the shape and want to give it a chance... Orochi V2 felt like a one night stand.

I used his site to know what mouse fits ur hand size and I got this mouse I’m rly lookin forward to trying it!
The switch itself make only 50% of the noise and feel of the click, the actual build and tune of the button does the rest. Pretty cool. Theres many omron mice, and all of them click different.
My natural position (claw) on this mouse is on those blank places. Got like size 9 not too long but thicker fingers. I love this mouse!

The biggest thing I keep noticing is the empty space beneath my knuckles if I put the hump in my palm. The mouse's upper half is so low to the pad, even more than model o- and ul2.

I hated this mouse when I first got it, but when the fingertip grip it wanted you to use clicked. Boy did it click. I still feel like its unwieldy when playing games. I have to constantly think about my finger position or I slip into a hole. It is not comfortable though, my fingers started to cramp after a while. But my micro adjustments became butter smooth. Ill admit it does force your fingers into a position that improve your aim. Not sure if breaking my pinky is worth it though lel.

I have hands a few cm bigger than yours and i can easily use a razer viper mini, so you shouldn't be worried about mice being too small. I also used to use a big mouse.(zowie ec1-b) and honestly i feel like i have more control the viper mini, only been using it a couple days tho.
Does this mice feels like a larger version of the logitech mx anywhere 3 mouse? Since is also has a flat low back like the mz1

does he really have you blocked? I'm curious where I get that nice white mouse pad. My main problem is no 450 dpi setting on the mouse. It is cool they have 400 but I'm so used to 450 dpi now after years and years of using it that I don't think I can go back.
Having no software is fine, but if you go that route there needs to be a better range of dpi adjustments available on the mouse. I play at 500dpi and I can’t use this mouse because it skips from 400dpi to 800dpi then up from there. It should have been adjustable in steps of 50 or 100dpi and top out at around 1200dpi. I have 7 other mice that can all be set to 500dpi, this was a big oversight imo. Hopefully there will be a firmware update allowing more dpi adjustment options in the low range, until then it will be sitting on the sideline for me.
There's quite a few sensitivity converters online that can help you convert your 500dpi game settings to their 400 or 800dpi equivalent.

my mz1 also has creaking on the right side so I guess its just something standard on this mouse. Its not noticeable while playing games though :)
Same but when you pick it up you could literally hear it creak and maybe flex inwards (very small flex)

Day 2 of asking Boardzy to review rog gladius 3 because gladius 2 had super comfortable shape
I fingertip the shape would've been perfect if not for the holes. On a sidenote I was expecting the quality to be somewhere between meh and slightly bad, But to be honest it's actually quite a good mouse. Cord, Kailh 8.0, no software honestly impressed. Though the mouse still looks ugly
Considering I use fingertip with thinner hands than he does, seems to me like this mouse is perfect to me, but agreed wired is unacceptable for 80 bucks, so I'll wait for a wireless and try it out, definitely an upgrade from my wired 2 dollar CCP-manufactured chinamouse.
Coming from a mouse enthusiast, I cannot recommend this mouse to anyone. I fingertip grip and I cannot find a consistent grip that's comfortable for this mouse. My Razer Orochi V2 is king for the time being.
