Endgame Gear XM1 Mouse Review + the importance of button height
Update: They put a really soft, flexible cable on the new copies along with an updated coat and improved feet, video - • A note on flexible cab...
Looking for a SteelSeries Sensei 2.0? Does under 1ms anolog buttons really give an advantage? Is this top tier gaming mouse underrated?
So much to talk about on the Endgame Gear XM1. I love this mouse, but because it's a first attempt, there are some issues. Nothing major but they are working on firmware to fix a few of them. Still waiting on that, so check back to this description for updates or my website.
Overall pretty solid, definitely worth a look. Good job to the Endgame Gear team! Hopefully we see that firmware update soon and a better cable on their next mouse.
Firmware update 1.88 available as of 13/11/2019: www.endgamegear.com/en/faq
Haven't tested it myself, let me know in the comments if it does.

Once again, amazing highlights, keep going ❤. I think I might buy this Incase my main breaks
Hey RJN, im pretty new to your channel but I'd like to thank you so much for making videos. I was linked your channel on r/mousereview after asking for help finding a good ambi mouse that doesn't have Logi's double clicking issues. Between your channel and your website I ended up picking the Lancehead TE, which even though you grilled its shape in your review, is fantastic for my large hands and my precision with the mouse has gone up by quite a bit from my G903. Thank you for doing what you do, you've earned a loyal fan
I love this mouse, it's a very good shape for my wide hands. I actually find it more comfortable than my g603, the light weight is super nice too. Been playing more FPS and enjoying em more since I got this mouse, especially Quake and Warfork.
That 2 health 4 enemies clip... if it had been any other game there would be people crying hax all up and down the chat lol
Crazy to see how far they've come since this video - wireless XM2w should truly be "Endgame" for some.
Wireless lol? Hell no. It gotta be wired ALWAYS for competitive games. Wireless are way too unstable and the click latency compared to high end wired mouse is not great. I wouldn't even pay 30$ for a " high end wireless mouse " those are all scams.
@@PahEz clearly you haven't looked at any wireless mouse released in the past 12 months
@@Belv1n I have. Razer deathadder v3 pro and razer viper v2 pro. They are good as a " wireless " mouse for sure but nowhere near the level of high end wired. Also gpx is even worse than the 2 razer ones so it's def nowhere near the best even tho many think it is for w/e reason.
@@Belv1n I'm a comp player, been one for years. I prefer wired over wireless any day. Doesn't matter how much I gotta pay I would rather get a wired than wireless for multiple reasons. Maybe in 5-10 years I will change my mind who knows, but either way, wired will always be better it's just common sense. Wireless are way too unstable since there's no " wire " as simple as that.
@@PahEz what? There is no such thing as "high end" wired except the XM1 which is still slower than both the razer wireless mice...CS and Valorant pros are winning tournaments with all 3 mice you listed. Faze won a major and they aren't even sponsored by Logitech so don't use that excuse

Even if it has problems an update or newer version will help this a lot and other companies might see this review and look into their button heights.
Well, apparently Endgame has upgraded this mouse. New Model has improved side buttons, gliders and rubbercable has changed to paracord... And they also released white version.
Any idea how do i know if it's the new or old version? Is the white version automatically the new one?

Been using this since its release and can't really find anything negative that I haven't resolved, such as swapping the cable, and hyperglides. Awesome review of an awesome mouse!
Which model hyperglides
My new fave after a few days use - have also enjoyed zowie ec series, ultralight phantom, and most recently ultralight 2. Super comfortable and scroll wheel + main clicks feel great - side buttons are probably weakest point for me as travel is on the long side. Polling and DPI are easy to change but settled on same settings i've used on most mice - 400 dpi, 500 hz. Great mouse and highly recommended, hope they make a fancy lightweight cable for it at some point. Aim was better out of the box with this compared to ultralight 2 but obviously your mileage may vary
that 2hp clutch was nuts
Got mine few days ago. When my sensei died, ive tried so many different mice : fk1/1+, ec2/1-b, 403, GPW, Model 0, 518, 703, s1, za12. But this is the one! When i put it in my hand for the first time i instantly thought about sensei. This shape is just amazing. Nuff said
Форма разная, или я ошибаюсь?
i have had it for like 1 month now, havent had any problems with the firmware, no double clicks or anything. only gripe is the cable, as i came from a GPW it even with a bungee annoyed me a little bit. might be because i have quite low sens tho. as allways great review, keep it up :)
So weird. Was almost shocked how flexible the cable is on my copyy when I got it yesterday. Only heard bad things about it but it's much better than any non shoelace/paracord style cable I've ever had. Firmware has some issues, polling rate drops, should be fixed soon.
@@narc0polo966 is it fix the firmeare by now?
I've got it too for 3 weeks now and I used the glorious model o before. When I gripped the mouse I immediately fell in love with it, it's by far the best shape (I clawgrip) I ever used and I had almost any mouse from zowie, logitech, razer and steelseries. I immediately removed the glorious from my desk (even though model O is probably still the best mouse all around for many gripstyles and value), it's just the shape, the hump is soo perfect on that mouse I never felt such support for my palm. I also never had problems with anything on that mouse. Btw It's also s1mple's (best CS:GO player) new mouse for a whíle now and he uses it in tournaments, so I think the mouse is reliable.
Personally in terms of shape I hate the model same as the FK shape way to flat and too long I'm buying the XM1 hopefully I'll like it more
I've been using this mouse for the past two weeks and it's one of my favorites so far, could easily be my #1. I think I need another few weeks to really decide, but I wouldn't be disappointed to main this mouse.

Please review the Gwolves skoll please. Loving the content.

Would you be able to explain why after switching to ~10 different gaming mouse (some that I've used for only days, others for weeks) I always end up going back to deathadder in the end? I have even set up an aim challenge for all and still got the best score on the deathadder. Could it just be that I'm used to it and have memorized it's shape and weight the best?
I had a g403 and had the same problem when I got the deathadder v2. After a little bit of time you get used to the new mouse. For me , it took me 2+ weeks to get used to it.
You need about 3 weeks of full-time use to get used to a new mouse.
Now that the Deathadder V2 and Pro are a thing, you are spoiled for either a lighter mouse or a wireless one. And yes, it's probably down to muscle memory.
@@SP-dw3ud Έλλην!
@@MillerTM i'll personally take the v2, because i mainly do gaming, and i don't see wireless as a priority. v2 is cheaper as well.
Just picked this beauty up. I've been a longtime ergo/intellimouse shape user. Mainly on the Deathadder and recently the EC2, but it's time to try an ambi. No better place to start imo since I don't care for the FK/Model O shape. This looks like it will suit me perfectly. Also, your gameplay is like art Zy, could watch the highlights all day :)

s1mple used this mouse at the CS GO major. but yup absolutely loving mine. i actually bought a second one so i can try out different mouse switches and feet with it cause my first one is absolutely perfect. didn't wanna mess with it
Bought two days ago razer mamba elite :) Love your videos
I asked the very same. Apparently it's the same as debounce time for the infamous double click problem. The registration of the clivk itself has to be processed which is done 3ms faster on this mouse(4ms default on mice). I'd rather have a good shape over these claimed 3ms but we'll see.
I really hope EndGame gear will polish this mouse, as they are going in a good direction in a lot of ways
This mouse is amazing! i just wish EndgameGear will make a lightweight ergo mouse in the future. I can recommend this mouse even though it's not the best shape and size for me just because of it's highquality parts and shell, it will take quite some time to get used to if you're like me and used to DA and EC2A but after using it for a month it started to feel sooo good! i think this mouse proves that size and shape is just something you can get used to most of the time you'll just need patience. I got really frustrated and wanted to go back to my ec2 at one point but i didn't and now i don't ever wanna go back to it. But if the shape isn't right for you at all i can see why you wouldn't like this mouse and the stock mouse feet are really bad either put on some ZowieFK mousefeet (they actually fit perfectly) or order the XM1 mousefeet from corepad.
Love the shape of this, even better than Revel.
I think I'll wait for their next mice once they're a bit more experienced, but this sounds quite great to replace my nixeus revel
I love this mouse, so underrated.
That frag movie at the end HOLY SHIT
Interesting take. Beyond the side mouse buttons I've had no issues. I much prefer it to the Zowie S2.
Haha, been thinking about the bungee v2 for the past 6 months, and also the XM1 since the S2 didn't suit me with the sharp pointy side buttons, and the Revel (that died on me, and it's not sold anymore in EU) suited me really well other than feeling a bit bulky, so this should be a tiny bit better. Ordered both now.
Waiting on a xm1r review
That 2HP vs 4 was on so high tension.. we could see the rail shakyness induced by it. 70g for such a large looking mouse is remarkable but now they would need to catch up at least on the cable level. (seeing paracord shipped in the box is a major industry upgrade) Also if I had to choose between a coating change Or comfort grooves in the buttons I would choose "buttons change". Their next project will be very interesting to see, for me specially if they decide to go shorter. Did the shape forced you into palm grip? edit: It's £73.90 ough..
I loved the start xD
Will you please review the new Logitech G604? Probably not the best mouse for competitive FPS, but seems like a well-balanced mouse with lots of neat features. Would love to know your opinion.

The 1000Hz Polling Rate is the rate at which the mouse updates it's position on your screen. Basically, 1000Hz means it's update it's position 1000 times per second, 500Hz=500 updates per second, etc. This is completely independent of click latency.
Hey, I bought the xm1 3 weeks ago and it's a fantastic mouse but I have a problem with ghosting with the mouse buttons, If you bind mouse button 4-5 with something and then shoots with mouse 1 then the buttons stop with working I don't know if it is the case with all copies.

To any G303 addict.. I was once a G303 addict and then I found the XM1. Around 1 month ago I bought the XM1 and it's been on my desk for that whole month. Till of coarse I got the UL2. Last night I switched back to the XM1 after playing with the UL2 for 5 days. That's how much I love the XM1 shape. I feel that the grippy surface and shape of the mouse is just too good to put down even with that added 20g+ weight compared to the UL2. TBH I just feel extreamly steady with the XM1. My pinky and ring finger get just enough support for me to aim better than with the UL2. The MM710 and/or Model O- may be great. Kind of waiting on that Kone Pure Ultra. *hint* *hint*
Writing with the ultralight 2 has to become a meme! lol
@Rocket Jump Ninja Have you considered reviewing the Lexip Pu94 Gaming Mouse (built in joysticks, "6" buttons (but 2 on side, one between index & forefinger, two primary buttons & the side joystick?)). I would REALLY love to see what you think about it, as it's the only joystick mouse available and you're the Mouse Guru.
my handsize lenghs is 17cm. shape is great, also the wight. the mouse feels a bit to smooth and to big for me, so that flickshots dont work that well. i play shooters i have to ads. so like rainbow and hunt showdown, and in both games i have the problem, that mousemovement feels to smooth. but i am sure the mouse is to big for my hand. but in certain ways it feels better then the logitech g303 and pro to me even throgh they are smaller. thats because the weight and materials. i need ruff shapes. i swet while playing stressfull games. i buy about 30 mouses since 2012. iam left handed... next mouse i try is the mm170. i feel like cinderella
I like my buttons to be as low as possible and as flat as possible, separated from the shell with the hump at the rear for a good claw grip. Not necessarily smaller but definitely shorter. Wide at the back and slim at the front. + infinite scroll
I have similar preferences. Which mouse do you use now?
i dont need a mouse but your vids are still great
I've been using it for just over a month... I've played well with it (I use claw grip) and the buttons definitely feel faster than my zowie za13 I was using before. Have had no issues with double clicking etc - it would be perfect for me if it was just a little smaller overall. Waiting for the model o- to arrive now..
Very likely it's faster than the ZA13. But the claim makes it seem it's faster than the fastest (1ms), which I can't verify. It's still up with the fastest though so it'll be faster than most, Model O and MM710 included.
OMG... I think I have finally found a replacement for my Zowie AM. I never switched to the FK/ZA series because the shells differ too much from the AM and the "comfort" grooves: I find them anything but.
which version of quake 3 are you playing in this video? i dont see you picking up weapons etc. quake live obviously, but other than that? is it a specific game mode? thank you!
i have 2 niggles with this mouse: 1. its got a backsided hump, and i myself am a definite palmer. 2. the model o/o- (this is what happens when you ask your folks to order your mouse) is on its way. cool stuff. not for me but im sure theres a clawer/fingertipper that was look for a reasonably priced high end light mid-large mouse with a backsided hump.
Hi! Thanks for helping me. So I’m going to buy a new mouse cause it has been 3 months that i use a cheap CM and i need a Upgrade ASAP. I’m more likely onto lightweight mouse but with a good quality and i’d say the shape is more important than the weight for me like if a mouse is 70g but with a shape that really suits me i’ll go with it and not with like a 50g mouse that doesn’t suits me as well as the 70g one. And that’s it i think. * **Games:** Fortnite and others FPS primary * **Hand Preference:** Right Handed (ambidextrous right handed shapes primary) 2 sides buttons on the right obligatory * **Budget:** 110$ max for like a GPW (amazon if it is really worth it) * **Hand Size:** ~19,2cm x ~10cm * **Grip:** fingertip/relaxed claw * **Weight:** I’d like to try a lightweight mouse. (Exception for the GPW cause i heard it was really balanced and it’s WL) * **Sensitivity:** Low/Medium - 800 DPI, 0,058/0,065 in fortnite. * **Connectivity:** Good stock cable like the MM710 or Hati and of course Wireless could be an option (never tried both wireless and paracord).

It was designed by "Johnny R" the person who made the kinzu, kana, senseis shapes. In hand it feels a lot smaller than the sensei because of the height, id say a Kana 2.0 not a sensei. also it curves inwards ) ( like a g303. The material is quite matte similar to zowie's material, not my cup of tea, I prefer all my mice glossy and not slimy after 5 minutes. I just seem to aim best with glossy mouse because i have the most relaxed grip with it, and the clicks are enhanced. The shell absorbs sweat and finger prints, so if you like your mouse aesthicly looking good, i'd wouldnt recommend it. I think mouse manufactors should start making glossy version of mice, just like glorious, coolermaster, and zowie. I myself tried both and even though I have sweaty hands, the clicks feel so much better when the shell is glossy. I'd recommend this mouse if your a fan of the kana/g303, the shape is as if they had a baby together.
What is your grip? I tried the S2 and Highly preferred the S1 over it even though the S2 felt amazing at first. I have to pure fingertip grip the S2 and it feel awkward when i try to palm it slightly
it's nice to watch a mouse review from someone who can actually play.
Considering buying this mouse. Since they are releasing an updated version of it, better cable, skates etc, some stores are lowing the price on the old version at the moment by a lot. For example here in Sweden I can buy this mouse online now for 380 kr which is equal to about 40 US dollars. It's just the shape which is making me hesitate. I have 20x11 cm hands and hold fingertip/claw hybrid( just rest back of mouse on the palm area under pinky and ring finger). I assume it will work but hard to tell. Also not being able to custom keybind in the software is a bit annoying since I play old games that doesn't always recognize mouse side-buttons unless you make them into keybinds.
My hand is a bit below 18cm in length and 10.3cm in width, wanna try out fingertip, would you recommend?
Can you review the Alienware AW610M? it's their new wireless mouse and it'd be super cool to see you review it!
