Wild Boar Hunting in Texas | 40 Hogs Down with the Armasight Zeus Thermal Scope
A Texas farmer continues the fight to eradicate wild hogs and save his crops using an AR-15 and thermal night vision scope.
Wild boar, or feral hogs are a non-native and invasive species in Texas. Each year hogs cause millions of dollars in damage in the form of damaged crops, contaminated water supplies, broken equipment, transmission of disease and injury to livestock.
Wild boar compete with native wildlife for resources and also prey directly on the eggs and young of ground nesting birds and will actively hunt small mammals, frogs, lizards and snakes. www.aphis.usda.gov/aphis/ourf...
Due to their intelligence, adaptability, and prolific breeding habits, traditional methods of hunting and trapping have been largely ineffective in reducing the feral hog population.
Feral swine are not considered game animals in Texas and may be hunted by any means or methods at any time of year. Some of these methods include large round traps with remote trigger capability, hunting with dogs, and helicopter hog hunts.
Recently, with the increased availability and affordability of night vision and thermal optics, farmers, hunters and citizens alike have access to new weapons/tools to aid in the fight against feral hogs.

"Feral Pigs" not "Wild Pigs [sic]", dunces! No "wild pigs" in the Western Hemisphere; all are domestic or feral exotic species. And the javelina is not a pig however much it looks or behaves like one--different genus.
Wow. That's a load off mind. Is this hunting or extermination of a destructive, extremely prolific pest? What happens to all the carcasses? Don't go crazy ✌. I'd like to shoot some too.

Wild pigs, feral pigs, wild hogs are all the same. People use slang all the time, these are not like pure bred Collies or something. I lived in Texas and visited a protected wildlife area and there are few if any pure Javelinas since Javelinas interbred with other hogs.
If you are a Vegan/vegetarian, you should THANK these hog hunters for protecting your food. These pests are terribly destructive for crops of all sorts. Just ask a farmer.
JerryS , also good dog food
@@Cervin_Suisse These are no different than Burmese pythons in Florida. These are not native animals. They are invasive with a much longer history than the pythons.
@@Cervin_Suisse , tell us about your vast knowledge of feral hogs' breeding cycle. How many piglets can one sow produce in a year? The reality is you don't know squat, look in the mirror mental midget indeed.

Hey, good, plentiful bacon!!
Oh wow, thats a satisfying video, we used to hunt boars with 303 in college days back in pakistan, same problem, they destroy crops, pastures, and fowl. good to see them drop again, brings a tear of joy in my eye!!
would you eat them after? is it halal?
@@mohitmasand In Pakistan they just get hunted not eaten. Alternatively they are caught and made to fight with dogs, often times a lot of dogs later the boar is brought down and it's usually a younger smaller boar, they never make a mistake of a larger boar with a pack of dogs :p

Crazy how people can get upset over a man protecting his land against a animal that DOSE NOT belong to Texas
Stolen land. Which belongs to native americans and nature. No to white murderer.

@@samael1981 not an easy problem, vast stretches of land involved...
Keep up the good work protecting the environment 🙏
Thank you! There are not enough people out there doing this, they are multiplying like crazy!
I am interested once I move to Texas. I will look for guys in the area.
Wtf am I watching this 4am 🤷♂️🤦🏻♂️ I was also holding my breath for shots as if I was the one shooting lol.
He's a damn good shot! The ones towards the end were obviously from outside the matrix though.
Roy same here..
I liked hearing the tractor running. Home memories. Even if it's not a tractor let me reminisce.
You need a team of like 7 guys with ARs out there to just open up on those large packs of them.
One thing I like about these videos is that we get to see pests get eradicated. Also, if you hunt wild boar, tastes really good. Cousin of mine bagged a couple and he gave me some of the wild boar pork shoulder to cook. We tried making pulled pork out of it, and we were mildly successful!
@scott sanger Venison does taste pretty good as well!
What is the method to make the pork safe for eating? Parasites and disease etc?
@@bensears7499 couldn't tell you. No idea. We just cooked it. It's also been 3 years so the details of the exact process are a little lost on me.
Good job, not easy hitting a moving target especially at the speed they run.
I appreciate the skill and fun in this. I'm glad you go in for the 2nd or 3rd shots to make sure they're goin to piggy heaven.

As I have mentioned in previous videos on this channel... Great shooting guys 😀. Great skills and marksmanship. Very exciting to watch what is going on with sending these beasts to hog heaven 👍.
That’s quite a nice night vision scope you have, and some seriously good shooting.
Nice shots seriously, so much harder to hit a moving target than people know!
On some shots you could see that he was letting the hog run into the crosshairs.
This is what keeps a farmer sane in it's own crazy way. 😌

GREAT SHOTS!!!..Keep up the great work!!!..wish i could be there with you guys
Nice cheat-code. But it's only fair since hogs are using unlimited respawns.
Eddie Antihunter lol u mad
so you're saying you should off yourself to prevent further use of resources? Well ok, get to it Eddie!
Eddie Antihunter you know what? I'm going to go dump trash in the ocean today just for you.
Eddie Antihunter Lol you r a dumbass joke
Eddie Antihunter these pests are an invasive species that breed worse than rabbits, destroy millions in crop and property damage, some kill livestock and can hurt humans, they are dangerous feral hogs
Just subscribed & enjoying every funny shot. Like the one where the front drive quit but the rear drive kept peddling.
Looks like a shitload of fun!!! Those things are so destructive. Good for yall putting them to good use as moving targets!!!
This just points out the accuracy and how damn good the helicopter guys are.
They are not in a helicopter.
Guys it was awesome good job.
Our military should use these herds for target practice. Fast moving targets! Help the farmers, and all of us ,eventually. We all benefit.
War doesn’t bring peace. There should be no human killings in wars period.
Keep up the good work 👏 love these videos
Damn, I love your videos! I can smell the bacon cooking! Keep up the good work!
jealous from England ....great video
After watching this, I've noticed that there are three speeds a hog is capable of. There's "okay, time to leave." Then there's, "Alright, I need to actually run". And finally, "FUCK, FUCK, FUCK, FUCK, FUCK..."
The 3:13 kill reminded me of being on the football field trying to push the sled when there is no more energy in you....
I'm so into this video that I'm holding my breath before every shot
Once they start running it's amazing that you score those hits. Seems near impossible to me. I'd be lucky to hit one standing still! I guess practice makes perfect.
Nice to see you taking them out.
Just great. Keep on. Have a great and blessed new year 2020 with many hogs shot.
Nice shooting guys. It's not always easy shooting a moving animal. You guys are awesome. Loved the video. My goodness, too many pigs
Good shots man! I was impressed
This has got to be the most satisfying video have seen in a while..
love these vids
You can transport the dead pigs but usually they bury the bodies. In most states including Alabama you can not transport a live feral pig. This is to prevent someone from trapping pigs and moving them to another area and making them someone else's problem!
Even if transport them between your own properties?
G. Green Betcher eatin' bacon gittin' yer k/b all greasy while typing up all of that bullshit .
Most states have adopted laws prohibiting transporting live feral hogs. Several states also have laws that trappers are not allowed to release any caught in their traps. That's the reason you see more and more traps with remote closers. They can wait and catch the whole sounder.
@ScoutSniper They bury the bodies of any diseased, infected, or otherwise undesirable animals to prevent the spread of disease. Anyone handling the meat is highly recommended to wear gloves and other barriers to protect from contamination. Ever heard of trichinosis? Undulate fever? Nasty things.
@ScoutSniper Burning the carcass is the best thing to do if you want to dispose of them properly.
Sounds like your shooting them with an old 1950's style cash register.. damn that things loud.. but accurate!
It's that pisashit AR15 and that sound is the little coil spring from a french quarter whorehouse mattress .
So Many Hogs It’s like they never end...
Lol. That hog trying to do “The Worm” at 3:16.
What round were you shooting them with 556? A more than a few soaked up the shots and kept on running.
Damn, I love watching good shooting! You guys are the best, hitting a moving target takes a lot of practice, leadin' is an art. Love your videos, thank's for sharing.
🅱
the secret of leading is to aim for the head and keep swinging the gun after you shoot. If you miss the head you maybe get a neck or lung hit. Shoot as though you are shooting skeet, keep swinging.
AC-130 gunship hunting feral hogs coming soon.

Does the meat from these hogs get processed for God.

Best hunting video I've seen so far!
I keep coming back to these videos. Why? Because I enjoy them. As I learn more about guns and stuff for fun, and I'm trying to study and memorize hunting rules and regulations before I renew my license to hunt in the state of missouri, I see you guys are doing your best to hit them in the vitals for quick clean kills as opposed to treating them like the pests they are and shooting them anywhere you please. It's a good thing too, because i learn with every shot. Hopefully going to go hunt small game later this year with my pea shooter and a few cousins. Keep on doing what you do! I know the video is an old one, but I had to throw this out there. Good hunting!

@3:22 just before the shot...there is a BigFoot coming out of the bush just past the hog (look above the hog's butt!) and then - like always - BigFoot is gone.

So there's a boar plague in Texas and a Toad plague in Australia, Man i think i found the dream job!
The best position to hunt hugs 👍
So much bacon! And they are literally multiplying at the same time!
we use some to make our own dog food. skin them a bit get a 55 gallon drum and get it full of boiling water. buy a butt load of cornmeal. after it boils down put the ingredients in a big baking pan put it in the oven and soon you'll have a feast for your dogs. you can use bones and all.
these are organic bacon.
I used to live next to a nature preserve populated by wild boars. Of course they were safe when they stayed behind the fence but some didn't and were dispatched with a rifle. When outside the park they ripped up peoples backyard gardens and generally made a mess. A strong cage was constructed and baited. It worked on several occasions. I was amazed out how aggressive and powerful a grown male hog could be. Once in the cage they were disposed of with a .22 pistol shot to their cranium. Nothing sounds better than a pig squealing after taking on a rifle slug properly aimed as demonstrated in some of these hog massacre videos!
Eugene Fubini Wild Hogs are extremely destructive to Farming and to anyones yard. I’ve seen peoples yards be so torn up by wild hogs that it looks like their yards were tilled.
@@pablochacon6768 Usually hunters do. However, hogs are an exception.
Eugene Fubini ....funny how a 308 or 44 magnum will pop those piggies....! Keep up the great trigger work.....!
my uncle lives in NW OKLAHOMA and the hog problem is so bad even if you went out every night for a month and killed this many the population would recover in less than 6 months. it has come down to trapping, shooting and about any other legal means to eradicate them. most of the people that shoot them up there won't even eat them. they have harvested so many they are tired of the meat. but a few laid out make great coyote bait. and helps keep the mountain lions off of domestic stock.
@Randy Miner .22 mag behind the ear will do it. if your squeemish do something else besides hunt and trap. maybe make cakes and cookies for the church social.

nothing relaxes me more than seeing wild hogs going down like bowling pins
I thought I had seen the worst of the pig pest problem in the Jager trapping systems. This video clearly shows that the problem is a whole lot worse for farmers. Out of curiosity, would trapping these feral pigs before culling them not make more sense for a more effective cull rate?
Wow, what part of the state are you? I’d love to come. Their meat are tasty. 😀
BEST HUNTING VIDEO ON EARTH... HEART PUMPING ON EACH SHOT
Love the squeal.. hilarious
Can you make a compilation video of just 'acrobatic' kill-shots? The ones where it looks like the hog is running on a drag strip, and then jams on the front brakes - bringing his butt up and over; or slides forward on its chin? When you consider just how much damage these hogs wreak on farms over their lifetime, it's satisfying to see them terminated - spectacularly. I'm not a hunter but I totally agree with culling these pests, that were introduced into our environments without any predators to naturally control their numbers. My only regret is that you don't employ machine guns to take down the whole sounders; its frustrating to see such large numbers (like at 0:32 and 4:00) systematically destroying some farmer's field, with only a handful getting shot. Keep up the great work! Ultimate Night Vision is addicting.
