** Why Do We Hunt Hogs? **
Feral hogs in Texas attacked and killed a woman outside a home: • Caretaker attacked, ki...
Wild boar, or feral hogs, are a non-native and invasive species in Texas. Each year hogs cause millions of dollars in damage in the form of damaged crops, contaminated water supplies, broken equipment, transmission of disease and injury to livestock.
Feral hogs compete with native wildlife for resources and also prey directly on the eggs and young of ground nesting birds and will actively hunt small mammals, frogs, lizards and snakes.
Feral swine are not considered game animals in Texas and may be hunted by any means or methods at any time of year.
Due to their intelligence, adaptability, and prolific breeding habits, traditional methods of hunting and trapping have been largely ineffective in reducing the feral hog population. The introduction of night vision and thermal optics has greatly increased landowners' ability to mitigate the destruction caused by feral hogs.

Rookies... it got nothing to do with hunting. It is a massacre. One shot one kill. Shot with semi automatic weapons and nightvision scope is poor...
I thought the idea was to exterminate a pest.
You bet did the guy shooting the rifle loose his guid dog that lad couldn’t hit a barn door from the inside what a tool
The objective is to kill as many as possible, so semi auto weapons and thermals are good
Thanks for answering me but I want to now why always the first shot you try a one shot one kill why not body shots put the animals down also I saw the hogs get hit they carried on running as if stung by a wasp are you using ammo that is not up to the job?
@@highoctane7244 that what I thought: extermination

Rice farmers here on Texas coast let me and my buddies hunt their farms for free, and paid us the first weekend $700 to kill just one hog that was a truck/gun/sent wary 380 lb. sow that had 10 piglets. He paid $50 per piglet. She had destroyed 22 acres of field in one back area you can't really walk in at all. Only way in and out is by JD track type Tractor. We got her. Farmer picked up the hogs with tractor, took to processor, paid for it all. He was so proud of us, so happy to see us get her. We were proud too! Then.... The other farmers heard we had slayed the terror of three farms! They called, said please come out an meet them. Look over here...if you liked hunting hogs, here's over 200. Same deal. No lie...they begged us to come. You could hear in 10 minutes something else in their voices, the agony, the dread. They had gunned them for years...in teams. Just can not kill the hogs out enough. Year after year...agony! I found more guy's with guns! The hunt changed to a rescue mission. We fought over a 4 week stretch to hunt 16 nights. It was great and horrible at the same time. Facing nasty mosquitos, heat, humidity and fatigue...killed 14 sows, 146+ piglets, 10 boars appox. The farmers made us feel like hero's. We were welcomed to hunt deer on all the farms with treed areas the coming season. Bring the kids...the place is yours...real appreciation for you doing what they knew was a rough, nasty job. THEY'VE DONE IT FOR YEARS! I burned through four AR15/AR10 gun swinging, wanna hunt hog friends! LOL..Half night/One night wonders! It was nasty. Hardest hunt 14 of us, rotating in and out or together, all at once we ever did. Mud would suck you boots off. So sticky one step...your boot bottom weighed 8 pounds! Then there was the smell of old Texas sulphur tinged, stinking mud. Again..always present the devils from Hell! My! GOD! HELP US! MOSQUITOS THE SIZE OF YOUR THUMB NAILS! You make lifetime friends of the farmers but you lose the hero stuff pretty quick. You cringe at the thought your phone will ring showing a farmers ID. It means hogs! I bet you, I have a lifetime of pork already, in two huge freezers. I have given three times as much away! You KZhead guys that can safely use a gun, any gun, anything that kills hogs....look-up and call the rice grower associations. Tell them you want to hunt and kill the smartest, toughest animal on Earth! Or..Google any rice farm anywhere! It will be your greatest test as a man with a gun. At the same time I promise you, the farmers on the Texas coast, honestly, will see you at each night, or days end as heros. Honest and real appreciation for all you did or just tried to do. They know...you can't sustain it, but you are loved..and appreciated for even trying! You will see that. I know you read this and scream bullshit, but I've been there. My proudest hunts of all hunts! Now, I'm like the first farmers I met, burned out on trying to wipe them out. But these farmers are married to, rooted in that farm...these hogs are overrunning all they and their kids have worked hard for! Get on the phone...bring your guns! They need you! I LOVED THIS VIDEO! I liked most the level dry flat ground with grass or short crops. The gun work was skilled! You could drive up and load the hogs. Watching them walk without falling seemed a luxury, shoot without a full netted cover over their heads so easy and pleasant. A real joyful hunt! Heavenly comes to mind! I'm happy they got the hogs, envious of such a nice field to hunt. No devils, just hogs! LOL

All this trouble because some drunk farmer in the 1500's forgot to fix the pigpen
yeah. old world especies are great at multiplying too :(
Very good point!!
Yes, and because Europeans
They were too poor to buy feed so they let the hogs roam and feed themselves.

Not the fast ones..
And people say hunters don't need a full auto hunting rifle. Freaking hogs are like a plague.
stupid idiot
Could you imagine a 50 bmg machine gun mounted on the back of a Polaris ranger, we could drive all night mowing these things down
Full auto? That's for random, close your eyes, pray, & spray. This is aimed fire using single shot, light trigger, low recoil, hog shooting.
Yes and very dangerous
A plague you can eat is not a plague
i have watched this vid about 30 times at least & i always get excited when i watch it like it's the first time .....love this vid
what a psycho
I know. The deer are really going to get it this season. LOL
Awesome video as always guys ! Always an inspiration for me and my channel ! Keep up the great work ! Love the head shots & the xp50 is on point !
If someone wants to become a sniper this is great practice shooting . Everytime you shoot at a group of hogs at the sound of the first shot the rest scatter in every direction
One of the best starts to your vids ever!! Kick ass gentlemen well done!! For me 4 in one night with my bow last wknd! Thank you for the work you put into your vids!!
Thank you!
Hello from England. I am a firearms owner who follows the debate in America about the ownership of certain kinds of rifle. It seems to me that every time a politician states that no hunter requires a semi-automatic rifle with large capacity magazines, then that politician should be compelled to farm where these feral pigs are eating his produce and profits and arm him with a bolt action rifle and see how well he might protect his crops.
Grendel Grendelson fucking fences mate
@@thecasualfront7432 Indeed but feral pigs destroy fences; look at the damage they do in the US and Australia despite fences.
Grendel Grendelson Bollocks, pigs can’t destroy steel fences
@@thecasualfront7432 Indeed but what type of steel fence are you thinking of? Feral pigs still go under barbed wire fences. In countries like Australia and the USA where farms and ranches can be the size of English counties, I think the cost of fencing would be ruinous for the farmer. In Australia there is at least one cattle station that is bigger in area than Wales. If fences were put in place, the feral pigs, which are not native species, would still have to be eradicated from inside the fences for the land to recover. Any enormously long fence would also interfere with the natural movement of native species. In addition to pigs, Australia also has to control feral water buffalo which cause enormous damage to wetlands in the tropical north.
Grendel Grendelson *Comes out with a semi-auto Sniper rifle* Hakuna Matata, pigs.
Finally a vid where a person empties a mag on a large group! Worked very well!
Respect to all those double taps on the downed hogs. A lot of hunters don't double tap.
Watched this in bed before bedtime ..... man i love you guys . Good night and keep up the good work
Oh Man! I'm a brand new sub, so yeah...I'll have to catchup !
You said bedtime
The only thing that bothers me about this video is after all that hard work, that probably barely put a dent in the population. All those hogs had to have fed a lot of people. So that's good I guess. Really great work guys.
I love the way you guys heat your barrels !!! Damn nice shooting. Not sure how dry it is there but tracers could be very cool video !!! Love the closing scene WOW 👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻✌🏼
It would have to be non-incendiary tracers.
Gentleman I did not think it was legal to hunt with a lawn mower because what a ham slam you mowed them down.😆👌👊👊
Gotta love that NOSE DIVE @2:19 - DRT
Damn! that was awesome! wooo ohhhh! I have been an avid Hunter on my families big ranch out in CA for almost thirty yrs since i was about 16 and i am totally in full support in taking these huge pests down by any means allowed. I love how you guys as fellow hunters in this particular video mow em down!! with an automatic rifle. Are you guys at Ultimate night vision using an AR15 M16 or an M4 to take these bastard hogs down? whatever type of rifle this is it's more effective than everything else i have seen. I am now a huge supporter and new subscriber to your channel!!
I live in NH and want to say thank you for putting food on my table.
Incredible footage as always! That opening scene was exciting!
I feel for the farmer..those dam things are everywhere like mini bulldozers desyroyin everything.
very good
All i see is weeds,it would kind of funny to see those two guys shoot one another ,and have the hogs eat them.

It has really gotten bad since I last stepped into the woods.
One hundred percent amazing, super high quality video, please do more, good job
Night vision technology has advanced incredibly in the last decade. My question is do you get to keep any of the hog meat? And is it worth eating?
Oh yes. Wild hog is a delicasy.
Why is this so satisfying
gcjerryusc i seriously doubt the meat is any good. Diseases and parasites
pob000 as long as you get a clean drop dead head shot the meat is pretty good....
It is soothing for some reason lol. Maybe partly because it pisses some people off.... brings me joy
Conservation is hero’s work!
That is my thought also
The one's at the end had some pretty good disguises! Keep up the good work.
the intense and dramatic music is well apreciated.
Pest control is a human duty. Plagues come when pests aren't controlled. Thanks for your service.
And who says that the AR 15 is not good for hunting
#fakenews
Depends on what you are hunting
Is.it ar15 or ar 10?
Hogs generally need a larger bullet
For hogs there are lots of good calibers in an AR-15 frame. I hunt with 6.8 SPC most of the time, but there is also 300 blackout, 7.62x39, 6.5 Grendel, 458 socom... 5.56 works just fine too with the right ammo.
Great video, hogs are a pest and do massive damage to crops. Great night vision equipment and great results.
That is some fine work keep it up, your living the dream.
A life time supply of bacon
@schleichdi unfortunately they only check for some diseases, not all of them
@RedneckSpaceMan On my country wild boar or Hog is rare. It's delicious if you cook in right way or right menu. PS. On my country hunt Hog is illegal.
That's a lot of meat to harvest or do they leave it for the buzzards, lol.
Fill the fricken freezer. Good lord.

This is more fun than goin' to the range--and helps farmers who work for a living! Bang!
For any of you who say this is cruel: 1. Hogs are overpopulated and ruin crops! 2. They kill them in a very humane way, and aren't making them suffer. 3. Most of the meat is gonna be used to feed the world! To me that makes me feel happy knowing that people aren't going to go the night hungry. 4. IF YOU DONT LIKE IT DONT CLICK ON IT. Seriously, why do you feel the need to comment something hateful and rude because you don't agree? Thanks for reading my rant and like if you agree with me. Or don't, lol.
If I remember correctly feral hogs I'm Texas alone out populate people in the U. S
