** Why Do We Hunt Hogs? **
Feral hogs are a non-native and invasive species in Texas. Each year hogs cause millions of dollars in damage in the form of damaged crops, contaminated water supplies, broken equipment, transmission of diseases and injury to livestock.
Feral hogs compete with native wildlife for resources and also prey directly on the eggs and young of ground nesting birds and will actively hunt small mammals, frogs, lizards and snakes.
Due to their intelligence, adaptability, and prolific breeding habits, traditional methods of hunting and trapping have been largely ineffective in reducing the feral hog population. The introduction of night vision and thermal optics has greatly increased landowners' ability to mitigate the destruction caused by feral hogs.
Feral swine are not considered game animals in Texas and may be hunted by any means or methods at any time of year.

Any plans ahead of time to use these hogs to feed hungry people? I get it that the wild hogs are ripping up crops and costing millions of dollars on damage but why not do some good with them? There would be ways of doing it. Period.
Government regulations and other practical considerations make it pretty much impossible for hunters in Texas to donate feral hog meat to the needy. In order to donate the meat, a licensed health official has to inspect the hog both before and after it is killed. Therefore, unless a hunter is able to bring a health inspector along with them on a hunt, there is no way to comply with this regulation. In addition to the regulatory issues, practical considerations make it extremely difficult, especially at scale. When we eradicate hogs, our goal is to eliminate as many as possible. During planting and harvest season we are regularly killing between 20 and 50 hogs per night. This requires shooting at large groups of hogs with semi automatic rifles at various distances, mostly while they are running at full speed. The possibility of achieving precise shot placement and maintaining safe recovery and food handling procedures on dozens of hogs scattered across large fields and pastures in 90 degree heat is essentially zero.
Some people take them to dog food makers which is awesome. Some people go hungry by choice because they don’t want to work and are drug addicts. Those people don’t deserve our help. They need to get their lives in order to merit help from me…
@@Ultimatenightvision thanks for this thorough answer.
Yes good point. There must be so many in need. We certainly have our share of need here.
@@willtekata1763 Did you ever see the Seinfeld episode with the donut tops? There are regulations that need to be met as explained in the 2nd post in this thread. You can't just drop off feral hog meat at a charity. Who is going to pay to butcher them? You can't just drop a dead hog off at the charity and leave it to them to deal with.
These guys know how to do it. Teams of 5 going out to purge these animals. Need like 20 more of these guys.
If I ever come down to Texas, it would be awesome to help a family with this job!
My dad and I did exactly the same thing back in the day. Keep up the great content.
How far back into the days has this technology been available?
I'm not a hunter, but enjoy watching your clips. Lots of hogs, no lingering slo-mo clips of cartridges being ejected (like other sites feature).
The image quality is freakin insane... Great video as always keepem coming guys!!!

Terrific clear vision. That is a seriously good setup. They are a worldwide problem, but our shoots here in Australia pale compared to sheer numbers you get over there. Great work.
indeed over here, so difficult to get going
I like how they said "hey, watchu got there bud" before everyone fires all at once. I assume its to make them stop and perk their head up. Pretty neat tactic.
I do similar things to stop deer. I usually yell “MEH”
Yeah, who knew "Hey, what ya got there, bud?" would be the key to becoming pig whisperer ? LoL
From the opening I thought we were coming in by chopper. 🤣😂
2:00 damn you got them all, good job
I love that you guys use the Autel Evo Dual!
Massive improvements in just a few years here! No more everyone shooting at the same hog when theres 100 out in the field, and you're starting with the furthest ones out to allow for more total kills before they all vanish. And one thing that you never skimped on was nice clean ethical shots wherever allowed, instant lights out for most of them and superquick followups for the ones that weren't, totally different from typical moose hunters that let them bleed out for hours before they organize k9 searches.
1:35 If I didn’t know any better, I’d say those deer were in on that with you guys lol.
I definitely appreciate him moving out of the way 😂
Glad to see I wasn't the only one who noticed the deer in the background!

I'm not going to lie. I'm in the comment section just to see who's getting the next "Pin of Shame."

There is valuable insight here for infantry combat training. We no longer 'own the night'. Our adversaries have similar ,or same IR and light amplification night vision. Darkness is not our friend. The natural response, as mammals, we have is to freeze when hearing unknown sound. Especially at night. This just makes it easier for enemy riflemen to engage . We need to train to go for C&C upon acoustic transient. We also need IR signature suppression built into infantry combat uniform and kit. Col. Boss "Hog" Littlesnout. Inf. CO 5th Hog Rgt. This is almost what I would consider plauge proportions. We have pigs here in various states of Australia, but nothing like this, certainly not in Western Australia where I live.
Hey I live in qld, we have quite the dingo invasion here. Few local councils even offered bounties. Makes me want to buy a thermal and pay it off by using it that way.
Do you mean about humans in the zone?
@@laksmikolihill802 why would I mean humans when we are talking about a plague of feral pigs?

Best thing I've seen on KZhead today! Nice job fellas
The drone use to move the pack towards the hunters is a clever idea!
I've never been hunting ,but this is interesting. This actually makes sense to protect the land. " Hey, what you got there bud?" Bang 🤣🤣🤣
Loved the full auto!!
5:31 "REMEMBER, NO HOGS!"
Interesting choice on the HALO-XRF how it puts the memory low warning ON TOP THE CROSSHAIRS. If I owned one, I would insist that the next firmware update needs to address this.
I LOVE your night vision Hog shoots... Please do more!!! I can't get enough of them. Seems like I'm waiting a long time between videos. Love you guys!
Ждешь еще? Засунь себе ствол в пасть и пали, и все пройдет уродец.
Great hunting sir! With the field of you!!!👍👍👍
At 5:05 ... he spoke to the wild pig and this animal reacted like: WHAT THE HELL. WHO IS THERE (as if hearing a ghost just a blink of death)... microseconds later dies. :D That's hilarious because of the way he just spoke to distract him, to keep still and thus make it easier to target and kill. XD
At 3:17 when the cans start glowing white. That’s the sign of a good shoot lol 😂
As a DayZ player "Hey what ya got there bud" is now my go to for firing first asking questions later. I would love to hunt with these guys one day

Watching these videos make me relaxed. It's like ASMR effect on me. My wife thinks I have mental issues.
What gun are you guys typically using? I assume this would be considered close range ?
6:53 Whaa duh fu- AYO DO A FLIP!!
Those thermal optics are amazing. Very nice and clear images. You guys keep doing what you're doing great. Save your crops. 👍👍👍🏆🏆🏆🏆👍👍👍
Yes. These guys taking out these disgusting feral wild hogs are champs! And the filthy hogs that are slottered, really deserve to be slottered. They are worthless and contribute nothing. These fat greedy ugly hogs are selfish, self-serving, care nothing about all the Americans they harm from their fat greedy selfishness. These hogs actually think they are improving the country. They are not. They are a vile, disgusting, ugly worthless species and need to be eradicated.
I lose it every time he says "hey, what ya got there bud"

1:36 That deer feels it about to go down and is like "OK, I'm out!"
Hunting these is great and so very necessary, but I think to really get those number down, way down, you also need trapping on a massive scale.
How do you propose trapping them?
Love to see results
4:27 That moment was brutal. Not complaining, it just was.
This is incredibly satisfying to watch
That deer got a clue and took off right before the shooting started. Love your videos… I watch commercials for you. Don’t do that for all channels.

Awesome video, it's cool you finish them off and don't let them suffer,
I watched this at the same time as having Captain price clips playing in the background... HILARIOUS
Remember that they even have tripods for immense accuracy. Otherwise you'll have to do the good ol' deep breath hold for a much controlled aiming. Those rifles must weight a hefty amount. Never had one but I assume that's the case.
I’m so jealous of you guys! Keep up the great work and thanks for sharing!
Guys, one question for you? Why do you have so many boars? Are there too many wild boars in Texas? Do you manage the population? We don't have wild boars in Russia at all. My father and I went hunting for a wild boar many times and we got only one. You are an excellent hunter, you shoot well at a running target, good luck to you!!!
Here in Texas, wild boars are like rats. Only worse. They are destructive and cause millions of dollars in damage to crops and livestock. They hurt your animals and destroy farms. The reason we have to do this is because they breed almost as fast as rabbits and their numbers increase almost as fast as we take them out. Only reason hogs are hated so much is because they do nothing but damage to everything and they're essentially an army of pigs. It's almost a war.
