Sad reality, only because there was video - The perpetrator did what he did, even while being recorded - that says it all about this "Do as I say or else" LEO or military tyrants

Unfortunately, I used to work for assholes like that in the military...they often abused their power, and displayed overly aggressive behavior...I'm still having PTSD from the b.s. I endured.

Defund the trigger happy police by not spending massive money on gun force and transfer it to exports that can handle certain situations with the proper actions. This office has done their work by working with the community. Like he said, they didn't start working with the community when the crisis began. They committed to work with the community before hand. That's what real effort looks like. They have proved that they don't need to be defunded bc they are doing what they are supposed to be. Others not so much.

@Thin... I saw the video once. From what I saw, the black guy (who appeared to be "lit" or "slow") was walking on the sidewalk in front of the Army Staff Sergeant's home. The Sgts wife was apparently there and supposedly videoed it too. Anyway, the bully Sgt (with some 5-6inches and 25 lbs on the black guy) started to order the guy to get out of the neighborhood, was loudly yelling and using profanity, and at one point forcefully shoved the guy. The Sgt wasn't in uniform. From what I saw (I "hear" that something happened prior to the video) the black guy wasn't causing any trouble, not trespassing, was non threatening... I'm a veteran of another branch, was a "MP" investigator and held the same grade E-6. Also a former state Leo above the rank of Sergeant with a degree in criminal justice. IMO the Army ought to can the Sgt because he's obviously unfit as a NCO and not representative of the moral values and ethos of the US Armed Forces. He's a disgrace.

And the suspect is an Enlisted Officer in the United States Military. Just saying ...

@@davidh8924 I heard (not sure) that he is a Sergeant First Class. This means that he has Enlisted personnel under his command. It also means that he interacts directly with all the enlisted personnel under his rank. There are only two other Enlisted position over his, and six other Enlisted positions under his. He influence assignments, reviews, rankings, discipline, etc. Among other criteria, he has to be active for a minimum amount of time. He was there years before becoming a Sergeant First Class. He had plenty of time to affect other people. The question is, how does his perspective affect those under his command?

I did not see him come out and push someone his size, nor did I see his "tight knit community" come to his aid (which was good, all hell could have broken out.).
@@jamesdunn6502 actually Sir, he is/was a Staff Sergeant (E-6), and could have been responsible for 6-12 enlisted personnel (lot of variables). In all branches, you become an NCO (Non Commissioned Officer) at grade E-4, highest being E-9. I'm a veteran of a different branch, but the same rank/grade, E-6. I had 6-9 subordinates, was a "military police" investigator. I don't know what his MOS (job) was - the Army has hundreds (infantry, artillery, armor, transportation.........) But regardless, all members of the US Armed Forces are required to conduct themselves with propper decorum on and off duty, in and out of uniform. He's a disgrace to his and the oath he took. I'm proud to say that in "my" branch, he'd be "toast". And I wouldn't want to have been one of his immediate superiors... because you can best believe that the question is going to be asked how come no one "picked up" on this guy. Disturbing is that there's a lot of people who think he didn't do anything wrong...

3rd degree assult, a misdemeanor.In actuality it was harassment, assult, and depending on the state is terrorist threats, could also be charged with false imprisonment which is often used when a suspect prevents a person from giong a direction or making them go somewhere they didnt intend to go.Seems like the tolerance level is pretty high on the part of whoever filed the charges.

Nope, it's only a 500.00 chge OR 30 days in jail. A misdemeanor charge, but the only thing MIGHT be in jeopardy is you cannot have a Military Clearance with a charge on your record. He will have to be court-marshaled for that. We shall see
