Highly unlikely, he'll definitely get an administrative hearing (It's called a Captain's mast in the Marine Corps) He'll lose his recently acquired rank of E-7 lose of pay for a specific amount of months, extra duty, his will definitely be kicked off the drill field thereby losing his drill Sergeant duties. And with the charges on him and all this his career is basically over because he wont be able to re-enlist when his time comes so he better hope he is close to 20 years because if he's not he's screwed!

With a dishonorable discharge.....because ther was nothing honored about that as a soilder...Iam a retired soilder and i am ashamed.
As far as I'm concerned, this individual has War Criminal Written All Over Him and he should be thoroughly investigated. These kinds of attitudes don't in any way help assure American victory in any situation, as a matter of fact, his behavior reminds me of how inexcusable appalling our South Vietnamese allies were treated by American soldiers during The Vietnam War and we all know how that turned out.

Pentland’s career is over he is on borrowed time as he is doing minimal tasks right now that E-4’s and below would normally do acting as a runner. What a sad way to end one’s career, not sure how many years he has in at this point but retirement is really questionable at this point. As a Retired Army Soldier myself I cannot begin to understand him putting himself in that position now he has lost just about everything for what? Chances are he will be demoted by one grade and forfeiture of pay and Retire out if he has the years to do so if he does not have the years he will be chaptered out.
