  • I'm beginning to think Mark's narration is my favorite part of these video clips. He makes being outside on a cold morning sound like you are seeing something very special is taking place. This was another gem.

  • Wonderful footage and images, only discovered your channel December 2023 also loved your laid back commentary, as a retired Falconer of 27 years I especially love raptors, I'm still an avid birdwatcher and take a few photographs but on these chilly evenings in Northern England I enjoy some good wildlife on KZhead, thanks for your entertaining channel.

  • I'm fortunate to live in an area where snowy owls congregate in the winter. I've gotten some wonderful photos of them this year. They are the only owls I've ever gotten photos of owls I've ever been able to photograph. I'm constantly on the lookout for them. Lots of hawks and eagles around here to keep me busy, and ospreys during the summer months. Loved this video. Thanks for sharing, as always!

The shots I’ve seen on here lately by so many using the 600mm f1.4 have blown me away along with the price. I truly finally believe to put my $$ in glass. Any recommendations, should I get the 400 f2.8 or the 600mm f4

Then it snowed and a friend said that they hate to stay on the ground in the snow - and also have to spend more time hunting - so they came out in droves during the day and it was a total SEO photophest.

  • More good shots. I haven't hardly used my A9 with the 200-600 and my A7riv due to the fact my right shoulder hurts so much I was supposed to have it operated on in December but due to a 5 day stay in the Hospital over Christmas my surgery will be this week on February 25th. So with that being said I hope by the end of May to Be able to get out and use my fantastic gear. In the meantime I learn a lot from your work. Today I did notice the Eagles are back at the nest at the I 95 and Matanzas Woods exit it's in a good spot because of the elevation from the bridge. If your in the area exit the North bound exit here in Palm Coast. There is another nest in a preserve just off of Matanzas a little east of the freeway. I'm going to check it out tomorrow and also try a couple shots. I won't post them unless there good.

  • Brilliant to see 👍 I live in the UK and owls are very sparsely populated. They are a difficult species to locate let alone get a good shot. We were very fortunate to have had a pair of short eared owls turned up 2 miles away a month ago.The UK has a strict lockdown restriction on travel due to the pandemic meaning we can only exercise in the local area at the moment. Local country walks away from people are OK. With camera in hand and after searching / standing for four or more hours we bagged a handful of pictures. Your films are inspiration, keep up the great work.

I shoot at the exact place you went to for the shortys and I agree with you, the snowys are spectacular and a must have image of! but they can be a little “ dull” during the day (especially when they don’t cooperate and show off their beautiful yellow eyes 👀) but you seemed to have done pretty well for yourself👍🏻....& that’s why shortys are great owls 🦉 to shoot because they give us some chance of seeing them in the dusk light, hunting.....!
