Story telling and photography are two different skills very difficult to master. But you have done a great job showcasing both! You’re definitely a master of the art
Thanks
This is riveting! Your storytelling builds the anticipation, and your photography exceeds expectations!! The photo of the three balds eagles, one adult and two juveniles, with the fish hanging in mid-air, is spectacular! Thank you for sharing your incredible art with us!
Thank you!
it amazes me how these photographers are able to capture these stunning photo with impeccable sharpness! Amazing skills!
Good observation about the dropping of the fish by a mature eagle and being picked up by an immature eagle - could well be a training exercise. When I saw the mature eagle dropping the fish, I thought what's that about? Didn't seem to be a good reason for the mature eagle to be dropping the fish. Then you suggest training for the younger eagle...makes a lot of sense. Your eagle shots are worthy of National Geographic, Great work. Thanks so much.
My Fav Moment: The video of the eagles locking talons and the picture where the 3 eagles are aligned with the fish in the air... Just beautiful... Awesome video... Watched it with my 7 year old... He was much more excited than I was... Screaming WOW several times in the middle of the video...
That’s awesome!
The narration was as magical as the photography. There is really a beautiful story unfolding underneath the dam.
Forget photography, I learn English vocabulary from your videos
Your pictures are simply breathtaking.
I never get tired of watching your nature photography. Absolutely incredible talent and appreciation of your subjects. Thank you !
That is some of the most beautiful. stunning bird photography I've ever, ever, seen and great narrating! Thanks Mark!
Thanks
Again I'm stunned from all the dramatic pictures and scenes. The cinematic filming of eagles was drop dead gorgeous. This could be a BBC nature production in terms of quality and storytelling. You Sir are a menthor for my work
Thank you!
Mark, you don't disappoint - crystal clear stills, fascinating video clips and a commentary that, at times, is almost poetic.
Thanks
Truly breathtaking stories and photos. An oasis of joy between all these channels about specs and pixel peeping !
Thanks
Not only are you a well established photographer.. what a great author you are. Such a way with words describing! I'm fortunate enough to have found you when I did. Love it!! 🙌🦅
Wow, thank you!
Mark, you simply keep outdoing yourself with phenomenal photography and interesting commentary.
Thanks
"Cartwheeling", as you captured at the end, can express either bonding or agressive behavior. Watching it happen in the wild is a "once in a lifetime" experience! When eagles fish, aren't you often led to wonder just what the poor prey, still alive, is thinking, suddenly finding himself in the air high above the only home he's ever known?
Yes I often think that with the Osprey
I often try to imagine the fish's reaction. ("Why does everyone say air travel is so great?")
I am speechless about the incredible pictures you’ve taken. How can they be so sharp at F5.6? Just surprised to see all the details in tack focus of such large birds at this aperture. You’re a magician!!!
That vertical pic of the eagle it fricken amazing! Your photography leaves me breathless and I adore your narration.
Thanks
My favourite part of the video was the eagles locking their talons. Amazing
That was very beautiful. It gave me chills. The beautiful beautiful eagles. Thanks, so much.
Watching these birds flying free would be an amazing feeling. I wish i could experience this
Epic video Mark and superb narrative as ever 👍 As a Brit it was some visit to Conowingo 2 years ago I loved it. I'll always remember the customs/immigration desk at DC when they asked the reason for my visit to the US. I replied 'I've come to visit the Conowingo dam', the guys expression was priceless!
Wow !!! I Love your videos !!! All of this was so Amazing !!!!!!! Thank you for such an Amazing, Awesome show !!!!! You are so talented and so kind to share ..I love God's Amazing Birds, especially, Love the Bald Eagles.!!! Thank you for All you do and God Bless !!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏

Wow! What an experience with some of the best bird shots I've seen this year! No less than a thriller!
M Smith, breathe taking in seeing their hard work on survival. Beautiful work, thank you.
Incredible. I enjoyed it so much. Bald Eagles are my favorite. I definitely have this on my bucket list when I retire in 3 years!
That's how many weeks and hours left?!!! Lol! You done good girl ❣ Wow❣ 🎖
Wow 😳 that was amazing loved the adult eagle 🦅 dropping fish and juvenile catching it amazing thanks mark 😊
Thanks
Just WOW!!! That is what always comes to my mind when I see your work. This is remarkable. My grand-nephew is homeschooling due to Covid. I have been sending him links to your videos over the last 6 weeks for him to watch, kind of like the nature films I watched in grade school in the 70s. He loves them. I can’t wait to find out what he thinks of the Eagle video. Thank you for sharing this and for sharing your passion.
We’re experiencing an exhilarating bald eagle show on Lake Coeur d’Alene Idaho. The salmon come in to spawn and the Eagles migrate to feed for about four weeks this time every year. The excitement is just exhilarating above water as it is below water as I was able to experience it as a scuba diver for many years!! Thanks for the camera settings, they’re very valuable and saves a lot of frustration! Excellent video-Happy Holidays!
I would love to see that!
Stellar oral and visual storytelling! Breathtaking work. Thank you so much.
Stunning work again Mark. Your videos never grow old. Thanks for sharing.
Great storytelling. I've spent many hours there, watching the action. You had a LOT of action for one day!
Incredible photo, great voiceover, too. Thank you.
Nice work Mark. It's great to see the number of bald eagles in the U.S., and I still remember the days when it was thought that the species was a goner due to DDT.
Another outstanding video! Pin sharp, dramatic, images. The sheer number of birds and the high catch rate can only mean one thing - the Conowingo Dam must be filled to the brim with fish! Well done. The quality of your videos are second to none.
Mark, I started following you for your photography but now I'm not even sure man. Whether I like you photography or your commentary moe. Your photos, videos are the best but your commentary is super best. It keeps you engaged, not only watchin your videos but listening makes it double the fun. Well done man. 💐
I appreciate that! Thanks.
Yes, I totally agree with all you said. I know it must be a tremendous amount of work and time to do all this. Mark must go through and edit so much source material and then prepare it in this way for our consumption. He makes it look so easy though. What an artist of his craft!
Brilliant seeing nature in full flight. Love Bald Eagles and those talons, wouldn’t want to be caught on the end of those. Great photos thank you. Graham🇬🇧🇬🇧🐟🐟🦅🦅🦅🏜📷📷📷
Thanks 👍
That was so well narrated! I was eating popcorn while watching this beautiful video! Thank you for those amazing pictures! WOW!
Simply an amazing show by a most talented photographer, super job!
Thank you so much 😀
Extraordinary shooting , superb shots, narration.... Just awesome
I like to think that you are correct in thinking that the older eagles were training their young on how to EARN their meal. You do an AMAZING JOB, Mark. I enjoy your work and share it often. Maybe one day, I'll meet you on the Snake for some photos of our wild turkeys and eagles!??!
Holy smokes, that clip of the juvenile grabbing the fish in midair is unbelievable!
Mark you're a great artist in all ways. Thank you for sharing these incredible videos and photos. Your narration is phenomenal too!
Thanks
I am 40 min away. Love going down there to see the Eagles. If you park near the vultures they will eat your windshield wipers . Great images
Absolutely wonderful and brought tears to my eyes. Thank you for bringing this to us.
One of the BEST and most exciting videos. Love the way you took time to explain what was happening. I agree that maybe the adult Eagle was teaching the juveniles how to hunt for and catch their prey, as well as how to keep other eagles from stealing it after the catch. Thanks for sharing. Amazing Majestic birds!
You are the best photographer I have ever seen posting on YT. You could shoot for National Geographic or Hustler.
Thanks and lol on hustler.
Never seen the level of detail and quality as this. Those Sony bodies and that 600 mm/1.4 tele ( and undoubtedly your experience and skill level ) produce detail and quality the Canon system still can’t match. My humble opinion. Well Done! You Da Man . I tip my Hat to You !👍🦅👏🏻🍾
These shots are off the hook! I got a nice sharp image of hawk the other day and was ecstatic over it. I can’t image getting shots like this. Great job, and thanks for bringing us along for the ride!
Absolutely Brilliant! I live on a lake in FL and we have a nesting pair of baldies that have come back every year for at least the last 20 years! They are amazing to just sit back and watch. I look forward to seeing them every year. It seems like they are having more years than not with having twins.
You live in a wonderful place! envious!
Wow is an understatement. Great story telling and impeccable photos. Thanks Mark, this has been a great education.
One of your best Mark!! Some of the best photography I have ever seen, your skill as a photographer is so enhanced by your excellent narration. Thanks so much for sharing this great experience.
Thanks!
Amazing photos!! Was great to see the eagles eating the fish in flight, and all the adult/immature interactions. Thank you!
5:11 That looks like a bird heaven!
Great video Mark. I'm glad your experience at the dam met your expectations. For those who live nearby but can't travel to faraway places to video eagles, it's a real treasure.
Thanks and it is a fantastic place! You are lucky to live close by!
Prepping for the Conowingo premiere. Bullwinkle coffee mug, check. Organic free trade coffee, check. Plate of donuts, check. Yep, I am ready for the release in 25 minutes.
Awesome
The eagle ...... What a BOSS! Thank you.
just discovered your channel and it did not disappoint. Binge watching all your great documentaries, you got some amazing shots in that one
Thank you!
This video alone just earned you a subscription. Exceedingly well done sir
Thanks
What a fabulous show. Thanks, Mark, for bringing it to us.
Dropped and grab is very likely a training session to the juvenile. Besides osprey, this is another master piece of xcellent photos and video. Thanks Mark. Expecting more to come. Cheers
Thanks
Fantastic show well caught. Awesome photographs, congratulations.
You inspired me to go to Conowingo this past Sunday. When I saw your notice for the upcoming video I looked into it as it is only a 2+ hour drive. It was an amazing morning. The eagles did not disappoint. Highly recommended for anyone to visit. I did not expect the excitement of the aerial battles. Sometimes it was just fun to watch and enjoy the show. I will definitely be returning.
That’s awesome
Great video, I love the way you told the stories of the day thank you. London is listening!
Incredible Mark! What a beautiful video and pictures !!!
Many thanks!
You are one of my favorite photographers-- I love your photography but your explanation and narrative of what is happening is great-- I love the shot of the adult eagle and 2 younger birds and the dropped fish in mid air-- Fantastic video as always
Thanks
Wow, fantastic photography, videography and story telling. What a trip. I wish I could have been there. Bravo Mark. My favorite was the three eagles and the fish in the air. Hope to see you soon.
Thanks Mike!
I loved watching the video. You had some amazing shots. I also take great pleasure in listening to your story telling. You are so poetic and have a wonderful way with words.
Oh my gosh, another fantastically beautiful video, capturing those magnificent eagles! You're videos & shots are amazing! TY for sharing! 👏😊
During the end notes, I was typing my two favourites from the bunch, the juvie catching the dropped fish from mid air and brilliant dancing pair at the end of the video and you said they’re yours too at the end. What an amazing video 🤩
OMG this video felt like a movie man!!!
Hey Mark, Great Video and Commentary, you are the Master of Wildlife Photography. Good job keeping the birds in frame as well.
Thanks
Just awesome. The photograph of the three eagles in line with the dropped fish between them is my favourite - just so amazing! It also occurred to me that perhaps the adult was 'feeding' the juvenile when it dropped the fish but I'm not aware of Eagle behaviour as in the UK we have few opportunities to view them! You did teach me one other thing in this video. I've always wondered by cormorants and grebes I've observed seem to dunk their fish before eating them. Now I know why: they are hiding the catch from other birds before 'flipping' the fish into their bills. Excellent!
Unbelievable! So many cool shots and details. Thank you so much for your incredible work!
Wow! Awesome Mark and it was hard to pick a favorite but I really enjoyed the juveniles trying to steal the fish and the way you captured that action. 😊
Thanks so much!
Astounding the razor sharp images you're getting from that distance. AMazing images amazing video amazing photographer.
Love the 120fps 4K LOW LIGHT footage
Me too!!
Always fantastic Mark. Thanks for the nicely prepared video. So many fantastic images but the one with the 3 eagles and the dropped fish is simply amazing~!
Fantastic photographs, and great narrative too! Thanks for sharing your work.
I'm from Maryland originally so I really enjoyed this video. Loved it!
Beautiful shots!!!!! Thanks so much for sharing!❤️🦅
AMAZING bird photography, FABULOUS, thank you!
Mark, excellent images, footage, and narration, as always! Thank you!
Thanks
Eaglets survival rate in the first year are only about 50% for some of the reasons highlighted in this video. Beautiful video. Thanks for posting.
Phenomenal photography and video. I really enjoyed watching this and your narration was great.
Absolutely stunning photography and video Mark! Very well captured and highly entertaining! Cheers
These are sensational pictures Mr. Smith
Thanks
Thanks fr sharing, the 2 moments were simply awesome, the juvenile catching the fish dropped by adult mid air and the fight betn the two adults 👍👍
Mark, that was an amazing video!! Even on slow days like you experienced, it's a privledge to be able to see and hear all these beautiful creatures! We are planning to head back down there again tomorrow.
Agreed. Amazing placd
This was another terrific Mark. I live in Maryland and had no idea that so many eagles gather at the Conowingo Dam.
The narration you add to your videos is as engaging as the imagery. You mentioned taking this trip when I attended your Florida workshop in October. I was hoping you would get action shots and make a video. Well done! I look forward to meeting you again - maybe even in Costa Rico.
Best video of one of my favorite places! The video clips and stills, as great as they were, did not surpass the narrative you added/provided.
Thanks
Hello Mark. Your videos and narration are always full of excitement and drama, with beautifully captured photos. Love following your exploits👍😊
I love to watch and draw/ paint eagles, great video!
Wow, that was amazing light, I wish I would live near such a beautiful location and your images and storytelling is unbelivable as ever. But please start uploading in 4K, so that we can see these amazing birds in all thier glory.
