  • At 10:58 in your video you will see an Adult Bald Eagle sitting on a concrete wall. She and her mate have used that wall as their perch ever since 2013 when I first noticed them claiming the spot. if they are not out hunting or playing they will be on that perch. They are "retired" as in post breeding age birds. They are there year round and never haul a fish off somewhere to a nest out of site.

  • Nicely done. It makes me want to go back since the last time I was there was 2012. Looks like there are more people each year.

  • The male Peregrine Falcon seen at 13:10 in your video has been at the dam since at least 2012. There are two Peregrine Falcon nests at the dam. The first one I discovered in 2009.Enjoy the antics of this bird who LOVES to terrorize any and all other birds at the dam. He is protecting his territory around the nest site which is basically anywhere between the towers on the north end of Rolland Island (the one man made out of rocks) and the powerhouse.

  • Wow! That's a really neat video. It really gives you an idea of what Conowingo Dam is about, plus all the great eagle shots. I always wanted to go, but this year I have little time, and it is a great year home (Albany, NY).

  • Wow Mike, this is AMAZING!! This has to be one of my favorites of yours... so well done!!! Really hoping to get to Conowingo this year. Onondaga is going to be slow if the temperatures don't drop.

    • Thanks Sarah, it's def worth the trip. Spring time seems to be better than the fall lately. I know this warm weather isn't good for eagle activity, hopefully we get a cold snap soon.

  • Great video buddy!! Happy New Year. It's on my bucket list to head there one day. Here in Warren, Pa. @ The Kinzua Dam the eagle population is growing & fun to photograph. Nothing like there but it's amazing to capture an eagle in flight or pickin off a fish in the water.. Great video...

  • I really enjoy your work. We were probably both there on one or two days this year. Your video production is top shelf! Wish I could talk gear and methods with you! Also fun to see my buddy Eric at the 6:35 mark - he is as much a fixture at the dam as the speed signs. ;-)
