  • Serena was hitting the ball with so much conviction this tournament. I still think the highlights from Serena and Simona this tournament are some of the best highlight reels in the past couple years.

    • Second set was sloppy from Serena and we now know Halep has a history of doping that is dubious so, a big fat asterisk, but an entertaining highlight nonetheless

She definitely didnt dope and they state that. But they also say she bears some fault for not checking the supplements

    • @@Charles-vz5ws isn’t it amazing how people can claim they read the document but then still deny that they found that accidental intake of “contamination” does not in any way explain the levels of toxicity. The ruling itself finds her guilty , that is why she still got a ban, bc she is guilty of doping, with levels so high that several independent scientists found it’s not possible to test that high from an accidental contamination. The lies abound, and here you are acting like she was found innocent. No, she was found guilty and they still “don’t know how” the concentration was so high. Laughable

  • Revisiting this Serena Series reminds me of just how FEROCIOUS & BRUTAL She was. Playing against her must have felt like being in a Treacherous and Devastating Stormy-Sea-of-No-Return. What A Player. There’s no one like her around now!!!!⚡️💫🔥☄️💥⭐️✨💎💎💎👑👑👑❤️🙏🏾

  • The queen of Miami. It's quite unfortunate she decided not play her semi finals match against Halep at Indian wells 2015 because of injury. She could have won the sunshine double that year. Her volleys in this tournament were quite impressive

    • Not enough space unlike IW which has plenty of room in the desert. Wimby & RG/FO are having the same issue. Same reason why AO moved from Kooyong to Melbourne Park. The family offered to do upgrades but it was cheaper to break the lease & move to the football venue. Moving inland also means comparatively less wind & rain. The weather on KB was much worse.

    • @@23Echeo I said what I said. There was not enough space to accommodate the current & future growth of the tournament. When exploring renovation options with the family, expansion wasn't feasible (reasons are beside the point). There was only six years left on the lease agreement, so it was deemed a better investment to move the tournament inland as a pop up event at a larger venue.
