About us,
We are a family from the North-East of England following our dream to restore a beautiful abandoned french Château. We discovered the heart stopping Château De Lalacelle in summer of 2020, this beautiful architectural monument Is set in the countryside of North-West France.
The moment we visited the Château we all fell in love, from the beautiful sweeping landscape and forests, to its stunning untouched interiors and magnificent spiral staircase in the turret.
Unfortunately Château De Lalacelle has been abandoned for a number of decades so will need a lot of restoration and DIY.
Please subscribe and follow our families journey, with the up’s and down’s in moving from the UK to rural France and restoring this beautiful building to its former glory.

  • I can’t tell you how much I am enjoying the fact that you all are making a point of including Tony in the conversation now. I absolutely missed having him around because he is why I started watching this channel to start with. I feel everyone is now having more of a voice here instead of just one or two. Well done family and crack on.

  • Eco-flo is a necessity these days. Especially during renovations as well as camping, off site power tools, you name it. It’s worth every dime! Great sponsorship guys. The lights in the tower look so nice. Love seeing the families come together and share their knowledge and their so helpful. Can see where you guys got your work ethic too. I especially am happy to see both families love, support, acceptance and pride for their children.🏳️‍🌈♥️ My brother didn’t say anything to my parents until his late 30’s and at first it wasn’t easy, now it’s great! Much love to all of you! Love seeing progress. Aww, look 👀 you’ve gone to visit Stephanie & Philip and fam crew. I know you both needed a getaway. Too much hard work eh. I’m so excited you got 2 peacocks 🦚 how magical! Omg I’d un alive Terry for that 🤣🤣🤣🤣 God bless and be safe! ♥️🇫🇷🍷

  • It's so thrilling watching the insulation go up and the bottoms of the walls getting framed. And wow! Is it ever amazing seeing how far off square things are as you and your Dad are framing up the bottom half of the walls, Ash! As for Terry's electrics - it's exciting when the lights come on!

    • I was thinking the very same thing! Here in America, I grew up being rejected and basically hated, treated like a....heathen....by my own parents....because I'm gay. I left "home" at 19, I legally changed my first, middle, and last names, and I never looked back, and I'm ok with that. THEY chose this reality, NOT ME. I was ostracized by the very people who were supposed to love me unconditionally, so I walked away. All these years later, nothing has changed with them on this front, either. I should've emigrated to the UK or France when I was in my twenties; the people there seem to be so much more loving and unconditionally accepting of everyone, just....so truly progressive; I LOVE that.

      @jamescarrington5521@jamescarrington5521 Жыл бұрын
    • @@jamescarrington5521 not nice to hear! No one should be ostracised over something they have no control over! I’m ash, yea I’m gay but that’s not who I am. If your parents can’t see past that, then it’s their loss! Hopefully you have lots of loving caring people around you now!

    • I’m so sorry that your family treated you that way James. My brother was gay, in the 70s. It wasn’t easy for him in a small town. We, his family were accepting, but he left for London where he had a huge community that he could feel part of. Sadly he died of AIDS in the early 90s and I miss him still.

So, I've just spent the past few days literally bingeing thru every one of your vlogs to catch up, and now I am a new sub, and simply adore your family, your chateau, and what you are doing to make her glow again! • Wow, what great team effort in getting so much work done on the chateau; Ash's Dad was a great addition to the team with his added effort at the chateau. Also, the peacocks are going to make a great addition to the chateau environment but you'll have to get some of that sparkly ribbon that Stephanie was using to keep them off of the cars when they start to explore the grounds. Thanks for sharing another week in your lives. I found your channel at the beginning of my Spring break last week and binge watched your videos over the past 9 day. All of you are doing a wonderful job of breathing new life into "the old girl". Take good care. Donna in Taiwan.

I thought perhaps everyone was away but it wasn't so, as we got to see a tiny bit of Stephanie, and Amaury. I'm sure there was a reason. You are such a lovely couple, and I've come to enjoy being a tiny part of your 'universal' family....I would want you both to feel welcome...and truly it didn't seem that was the case. I hope I am mistaken. It is amazing the stamina Tony has...up and down on tall ladders, scaffold, lifting, cementing, etc., etc., He quietly gets on with whatever is needed. You each are extremely hard working and very talented. You are a wonderful family, it is a joy to hear the laughter and kindness. Blessings, Peace, Love. Wishing you a Beautiful week.

  • FYI-they sell-or you can make - what's called a poultry hook. Makes it a lot easier to catch peacocks, chickens instead of having to corner them and hope you're quick enough to catch them. Enjoy the new birds. They're beautiful and lovely to have around.
