This week at the chateau, the family start on the new entrance road that will lead upto the chateau, but first have to move tons upon tons of stones from the soon to be bbq area to create the road.

About us,
We are a family from the North-East of England following our dream to restore a beautiful abandoned french Château. We discovered the heart stopping Château De Lalacelle in summer of 2020, this beautiful architectural monument Is set in the countryside of North-West France.
The moment we visited the Château we all fell in love, from the beautiful sweeping landscape and forests, to its stunning untouched interiors and magnificent spiral staircase in the turret.
Unfortunately Château De Lalacelle has been abandoned for a number of decades so will need a lot of restoration and DIY.

You need to plant some hedges along the frontage road to block the traffic noise.

Yes - its very loud and wondered about how to reduce the sound - there are some specially designed concrete blocks which can reflect traffic noise..
Not concrete - something natural like small trees and bushes will do the trick.

The new road looks fabulous, and I love that you are doing a dry stone wall either side, reminds me of where I live in Devon England. Maybe hire one of those wood shredders, this would give you free mulch and, get rid of the old branches 🙏🏻

Those chickens, so funny. If you could freeze a frame and do a grand oil painting of them it would look so good on one of your walls. Another little piece of history for the Chateau.
